UK Monsters Pro Carbon Lunchbox Chassis Build
Grumpy pants replied to toyolien's topic in The Builds
This has also turned out to be a fantastic shock tutorial for me - thank you π -
Such a great thread π

Phenomenal π

It takes a couple of evening to get organised and then a bit longer to get going π

The 380βs were quicker than I anticipated watching YT racing clip and it looks like it was a lot of fun π The Kyosho Beetle is one of my favourite RCβs, Iβm looking forward to seeing yours progress. What does the HG stand for with your shocks?

Nice project!

A cross between a dogs dinner and a Meccano set - and of course on the 1st rollover itβll all be toast - but for now this can be parked π Not sure whatβs next, I should really finish the M-06 Beetle π

Had a little time in the evening this week to pack away the 1st box and find the tools/parts to complete the RR shell. Itβll be glued and bolted, and then set aside whilst I work out whether to run it on an SRB chassis or the DT02, both of which I have hiding in boxes π Made a start today -

Complete novice looking for Stadium Blitzer Advice
Grumpy pants replied to Jim_M1988's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Ideally flip sides with the white front axles to reduce the bump steer. And put some additional body support on the underside of the body where the rear body posts go through lexan shell as it is prone to getting damaged there. -
MB-01 shortened for a 1:16 VW double cab pickup

Nice! Ready to accessorise now π -
Funnily enough I did buy a Sports Tuned 380 and a DT02 in more recent times with this in mind.
-
Ok @toyolien contents of box as requested. Every part has a story, except the spirit level, Iβve no idea why thatβs in there π€¦ββοΈ. The Lancia shell will be for an XV-02 if I can afford one before Time Tunnel put up their price @ Β£199.00. The vintage RR is beautifully painted but came to me broken in 2 places, itβll either now get used on an SRB runner chassis or a DT02, but it needs to be repaired 1st. Iβll tidy up the contents of this box, repair the RR shell and then we can go again.
-
Good choice, Iβll bring it down, show you the contents and weβll go from there π

Would any of you like to choose a box, crate, model or project out of the photo?

What's on your RC shopping list for 2025?
Grumpy pants replied to Alex97's topic in General discussions
Iβd add to my list the following - M07 Super HotShot BBX Maybe DT04 Hmm that makes 7 π -
RC is the only area in my life which Iβm not at all organised with or on top of π Rental properties, DIY, car maintenance, 5 kids, tax returns, blah, blah, blah π, I can literally just about keep up with. The truth is Iβve never really had the time for RC and now I donβt have liquidity I used to have either π³ But it is what it is and it is my own decisions that put me here, some being better than others π Anyhow, as we currently have a spare bedroom, I put most of my RC kit in there out of the way and this way itβs then not spread out around the house being untidy weighing down on me. So yesterdays epiphany was why not start at the front of my sprawling RC mess and work my way towards the back, one box at at time, get some stuff finished, run more, buy less, sell some surplus kit off, etc, etc. So this morning I emptied one box and it is now in the recycling - way to go π I thought I might chart my progress to give me some inspiration and a push on to get some RC π© done π
