  1. Following and looking forward to more 😊
  2. The GH will be easier for a young un to drive, the LB is a lot more fun and laughs, but as ‘dad’ you’ll get plenty of extra steps in putting it back on 4 wheels.
  3. Getting closer to being able to have some ‘T’ soon, I’ve said to my wife after this current round of DIY is done - no more this year unless it is essential 😆 2nd skip almost full, patio to clean next, trellis to source and fit, then a damaged 1:1 car door to swap over 😳
  4. This is my most favourite version of a 2CV, I am now a convert 👏
  5. Welcome to the forum with the nicest bunch of contributors out there.
  6. I think the SS shell will need some trimming at the rear and then strengthening to make it robust to fit over the Super Champ rear end.
  7. Very nice 👏 Did you finish this and run it?
  8. I’ve admired this many times @Saito2, in my mind it combines the best combination of 2 models.
  9. Thank you for this, I’ve seen this a few times before and it is very nice. I was hoping to use the SC front and rear end on a Radshape chassis I’ve got, with a SS body shell.
  10. How do you fit a SS body to a SC chassis? If anyone knows please enlighten me. It looks to me, that a SS style front body post has to be fabricated to fit on the existing SC body post? And for back end, the SS rear engine lid needs to be cut away so it fits over the SC suspension?
  11. Out of interest did you put the 50519’s on the front Cy?
  12. Liking the new shock set up on this a lot now, also just moved this one over to LiPo with guidance from @Busdriver👍 Just need to solder up some plugs really and we are good to go 💯
  13. The M-06 is still on the ‘pick up again soon’ list… But I have now packaged up our tax returns and filled the 1st skip - which meant getting out the jack hammer, breaking up concrete and dismantling a timber decked area the size of a small flat. Family life 😂
  14. It’s been a while 😭, but anyway I’ve enjoyed the little drive time I’ve had with this XV and now I’ve finally got the shocks as per the XV-01 LD version. Yeah Racing carbon shock towers, CVA’s 50519 (Mini shocks II) and 53974 TRF01X springs. The shock items to the left are the parts I had been using to get me up and running.
  15. Is the body post cross member worth buying?
  16. Nice project, great fun these chassis’ as well. Tough as old boots and plenty you can do with them. Hopefully your allergies pass soon along with the right weather to paint 🎉
  17. Nice family outing, wife and kids all involved 👍
  18. Great fun, robust, basic and decent out of the box imo.
  19. I really like the desert racing truck style and the way they appear to handle. Arrma seem to be a decent quality brand and the 4S is as much speed as I’ll ever need, figured it would be great for the woods near where I live or to take to the beach occasionally.
  20. A bit of sage advice required here please - I’ve have the XV-01 which I’ve recently started running and I’m really enjoying, I have the XV-01T to rebuild as I don’t have a stadium truck and I would really like to buy, build and run a XV-02RS Pro. But owning, maintaining and running 3 is unrealistic in my world. My wife is happy to buy the RS pro for my birthday next month and if July 1st goes to plan there is a 50/50 chance on me buying an Arrma Mojave 4s. What would you do? The right answer is of course enjoy what I have and put the XV-01T back together 😂
  21. There you go - Dirt Tuned motor, bearings, cheap servo, Tamiya ESC, glued rear tyres, steel pinion and a servo saver. About 20 NiMH packs through it so far - garden, woods, sand pit, tennis court, pebble beach, dusty car parks and rough tarmac. Had to change the nose cone, swapped out the ESC and servo, but otherwise runs well and plenty fast enough. Very happy with it, no plans to change anything until somethings breaks.
  22. This looks like a quality bundle of Hop ups 👍
  23. Looks great ⬆️ 👏 If you want to paint the wheels, I’d use a Scotch pad, then primer, then paint and finish with a clear coat lacquer. The wheels will get chipped and scuffed, so the orange will inevitably be visible, but it’s a rufty, tufty, runner so just go with it.
  24. I use Yeah Racing carbon shock mounts, they are cheaper than the Tamiya ones and they do just great.
  25. I’ve just been to the beach with my BB, using NiMH and a dirt tuned motor. All plenty good enough, it was just the standard rear tyres that needed upgrading. Next time, I’ll take a pair of paddle tyres and a pair of Schumacher V’s for the rear and all will be 👍
