Jennymo, I can't add anything that hasn't already been said, but all the comments about this fab build and thread are right on the money.
Really impressive stuff and its has been a pleasure reading your posts and looking at your photos and progress.

Very nicely done, I would still be at the 'opening the box' stage!
-
I've got HPI MT2 tyres on the rear of my Blizter only because I had a pair, but they fit and work well.

I bought a Brat Chassis 037 the other night, so it will be interesting to compare the 2 side by side when I have everything in 'stock'.
I feel like the Brat 037 will be the runner and the TA03 for display.
I still need to buy the Re RE shell and a light kit and I'm almost there.
-
Yes it did come out first on the Brat chassis but I believe the body wasn't as to scale as the later release (narrower arches I think).
The H parts (front bumper and body posts) come in the body set so you don't need anything else matey.
Thanks Steve.
I can see the early Lancia had the bigger arches for the larger wheels.
I'm guessing the Brat chassis is better for road clearance and the TA more authentic looking with the smaller diameter wheels.

Hi All,
Just got a re-release body set for my Scorcher and am tempted to go for the yellow/red paint scheme as opposed to the blue/white scheme that I currently have on my runner.
Anyway, it seems that the line that separates the 2 colours on the side of the car on the box art of the original body parts set box is higher on the yellow/red scheme compared to the blue/white scheme.
I've checked a few guys yellow/red cars in the showrooms and seems that most have followed this slightly different design.
My request is, does anybody have photos of the yellow/red scheme but with the same design as the blue/white? ( If that makes any sense )
Any help or pics would be appreciated!
Cheers,
Steve
PS Ive just reread my post and could have probably made my point clearer with a couple of sentences cut out, oh well nevermind

Steve I've got 2 red and yellow S.S in my showroom.
If you need any extra photos I'm happy to help out.
I was told it's the Rhubarb & Custard' colour theme!

The pinion on the Hilux is a press fit so it wasn't so easy to change out the motor. That's cools your's was
I read somewhere it was 'sweated on'.
I might warm the pinion up and see if that releases it or just swap it for a standard motor and pinion from another Hilux, I have a few to choose from at the mo!

I hadn't realised until today the kit was orignally released on the Brat chassis and then on the TA03RS chassis, or I have got this wrong?
There are 2 NIB on eBay with the TAO3RS Chassis for sale, which very nice and very tempting!
Also looking at these kits I need a 'H' parts tree for the front bumper for my TA03?
-
Just unpacked and checked over my TA03RS Porsche, I'm happy.
Wheels are toast and the shell is no good to me, but other than that all good.
I've put my Rally Legends rims on I'll give it a test run sometime soon.

I'm looking forward to this thread, I really enjoyed your Delta one.
Keep up the good work!

Ye Ha sold 2 handsets and a few other bits.
Only 6 chargers and 21 handsets left to go!

I've got as far as I can with my Silver Hilux, I need some soldering done to get it running now.
I'll pop round to my father in law and have a brew and get it sorted soon hopefully.
I had an hour after work tonight and I tidied up my garage/Tamiya mess and I started to put back together my blue Hilux.

I was moaning about the office at work today being messy when it turned out one of the boxes was for me.
It turned out to be my TA03RS Porsche for my Lancia 037.
It arrived last Wednesday and nobody told me, I soon stopped moaning!

I think you are probably right on this, but I'm sure the extra tourqe is useful on this heavy old bus!
Over night I've decided to keep this motor in my spares box as it seems to be a bit more interesting than the standard silver can.
-
A case of "you use what you have" perhaps?
I think you are probably right on this, but I'm sure the extra tourqe is useful on this heavy old bus!

Sounds like a "Black Motor Sprint" as gozone says.
They're interesting because they were among the first tuned motors.
Does it look like this?

See the great motor overview page here: http://www.zaonce.com/stuff/motors/motors.htm
Just like that one, but there is no sticker with the gold writing on it.
Thanks for the info chaps!

I sold a charger which was a pleasant surprise..only 2 left to go!
Had a short while sorting out my Silver Hilux, quite close to having it up and running now.
I'm looking forward to it, a lot.

Today's listing went for £74.00 inc post and packing, which seemed good value to me.
I was poised to bid, but I really do not need any more R/C models at the moment!
I keep promising to sell a few more before buying anymore...
-
I have one of these fitted to my early Hilux.
I haven't seen one before, there are no stickers on it.
Is it any special or rare, or is it just a standard issue motor I haven't had before now?
I do know it isn't a Conrad Special!
Thank you!
