Jokes aside, one of my favourite cars - always had a soft spot for it.

I also got a big haul of PS paint I ordered yesterday. Way to go Løten RC shop and Posten! Not only Plaza Japan is giving you bonbons. Also a norwegian vendour in a rural area does that .
Me too I’m a big fan of the 914/6 👍

White
Orange
Neon Yellow are the only colours I can think of.
I’m pretty sure these wheels will not take dye.

Just changed the title last night from - ‘Tips & advice needed for removing rusty screws’.
Now there’s no more rusty screws, it’s time to put it back together 💥

Might be worth moving this to the Build section now.

@taffer - do you recognise the GF01?
You sold it to me back in 2015 and then Andy bought it from me 👍

Should I be looking at any upgrades to the diffs before I go any further?
The GV parts are a white plastic, part 51460
I’ll need new gaskets, the old ones look great, but I suspect reusing them is a poor idea.
Do the gaskets need any additional sealant?
Final question - diff oil?
Recommendations please. -
Last 3 parts to dismantle - in truth I suspect if I put the obsessive GP away then these parts will work just fine with a good soak in WD40 and a clean up.
Taking them apart any further will damage the parts and mean more cost and delays.Somehow what started out as a cheap quick project has now doubled in cost and taken months to get this far, I really should know better by now 😭
I was tempted to stick it the classifieds this weekend, whilst I’m almost there, I’m not quite there yet 😳

Also took on the Phat Bodies Mini shell that was kindly included, Racing Green with some Martini decals picked up on eBay. Just got the posts to trim down and I think I’ll be race ready for a visit to Ayrshire RCCC soon!
Looks fantastic, a race winner no doubt 👍

A basic TT02 with only aTorque Tuned in it can be a great care free budget friendly runner, so the TT02D with a ST should be fun,
My XV is the ‘T’ version and has the larger chrome wheels used on the CC01.
I’ve got some wheels and tyres with foam inserts held back off the M08 sale last week, which might work.
Realised the decal sheet and window mask was missing, but the seller has found them and is posting them on separately - what a legend 👍

This purchased arrived today, I’ll add some photos at the weekend - looks nicely spec’d as standard.
CVA’s
Sport Tuned motor
Heat sink
ESC
Bearings
This one is new built, unfinished and never run.

Totally gorgeous, Ist one I’ve owned, but I wanted to build something new out of a box, as I never have.
Figured start modestly, use up some of spares I’ve got and work up from there.
The resto’s take me to long, end up costing a fortune, and then become long term projects, which was never the original intention.- 1

Having a major rethink on Tamiya, lack of time and spare £££‘s is getting me down.
Figured roll back to basics, sell what I can’t enjoy and buy some basic models to build to keep my hand in with.

Well after last weeks sale of the M07, this weekend it is the turn of my M08 to go.
