  1. This is something I've looked at and it's the width at the front which is the problem.

I wanted a touring car body for one of my grp c projects, if you use the offset upright set hop up parts from the f103 that reduces the wheelbase down to 256-257mm . The wheels could be shaved down a couple of mm each side and there is a slightly narrower bearing which is about 0.5mm thinner.

I'm reluctant to make the front wheels any narrower as I'd lose grip.

Was browsing eBay whilst my Mrs watched the Rugby on Saturday (im not into Rugby) and I noticed this. Had a long chat with the guy selling it, lovely guy, and struck a deal. It arrived today

Now you may be thinking, why has he bought that old TA02 for? Hasn't he just sold 5 of those for a 'clear out'?

Well yes, but when I bought my Tamiya Repsol Cosworth, I didnt have the correct wheels. Ill be honest, I prefer the fake Rally Style ones I have on it, but recently Ive been making some perfecting tweaks to my stable, so I decided to get the period correct kit ones.

I'm not going to lie and say Ive been looking every day for #50711, but when they did come up, the seemed to be very expensive or battered. From my limited knowledge, they only came on the 1 Cosworth model. I'm sure an expert will let me know I could have got some from 'X' but hey, I have 4, decent. condition ones now.

They will end up on this

As I say, I probably prefer the ones that are on it, but hey. This is how it should be and how I remember it.

It also gives me a spare chassis, so I can move my Mitsubishi Evo 7 WRC off my SRX onto this chassis (Rally car, rally chassis) and Ive picked a road car shell for my SRX (Touring Car Shell for a Touring Car).

Make sense? It does to me! I think!

    Of course it makes sense👍🏻

Same wheels were used for the Clio Williams kit but in grey, also expensive and rare. I have them on my Escort because they are correct but I do prefer the 2 piece 50420 from the Michelin Pilot Escort

  3. 53499 axles steel

    53681 axles titanium

    53500 cross joints

    53505 shafts steel

53506 shafts aluminium (rear only as they bend easily)

    TT01/2 , TL01, TA01,TA02(rear) and TA04 universals all the same size at 39mm.

Can't remember if the type S tt02 have longer shafts🤔

  4. I deleted the photos as I used my attachment quota.

Because I'm a bit of a div when it comes to uploading photos to host sites and such like I just delete when full.

I'll look and see if I've still got them on my phone

    Good lad.

I barely get the time to commit to this hobby of late, so I'm glad to be living vicariously through others using my manipulative skills

Honestly; I have 3x 911 GT2s unpainted because I'm procrastinating about what schemes I want to have. I also have about 5 options in decals, and the paint. I'm a hoarder, not a doer!

There's at least three words in there Chris that I can't even read😅

I've moved house 3 times since joining Buyee - and they haven't caught me yet!!!!

It's true, I end up going on there to find something to buy rather than looking for a certain part🙄

That Super Levant reminds me of another oddball kit from Tamiya, the Vajra (58497). The two were only released a couple years apart and seem to offer entry level and high-end options just like the Vanquish and Avante did.

The Super Levant had the odd ball 8T motor too
