    TB-02R rebuild

Have you got the SSG chassis brace 53679? It's a nice part just never seen when fitted!

    TB-02R rebuild

Great build mate πŸ‘ Seeing that your keeping it all 'Tamiya' are you fitting Tamiya electrics? Sven
  5. I'm no expert but I paid about Β£45 for a core rc jobbie, adjustable everything πŸ‘ Sky's the limit when it comes to how much radio gear is, I'd have thought Β£50 would get a nice set up. I prefer to use stick controllers but collect wheel type too. Sven
  6. I don't think there's anything special about them although they are well made. The prices for them are far to much considering how other makes have a higher spec. I like to collect tamiya electrical gear batteries, transmitters etc and I don't have the tr-07 receiver. I'd possibly be interested in it but not the esc. Sven
  7. The aluminium servo stays for a RM01 fit nicely, I may have some of the reinforced parts in my spares pile, I'll check later.
  8. I'm not sure but the blocks of wood need a rub down and a coat of varnish
  9. I love a nicely finished new body but can't stand masking and painting πŸ™ Has anyone on here painted a Opel V8 coupe body? Where the yellow meets the white there's large decals which should cover the join but, the masking process is driving me mad! Am I better of pulling off the protective film and applying the decals on the join then masking to suit? It would mean cling filming the outside afterwards obviously. Really don't enjoy this part of building πŸ™
  10. Looks like I stand corrected πŸ™„ Just taken a pic of my 06r and 06ms both have 46mm shafts! Looks like the R could possibly get away with having 44mm shaftsπŸ€” 06R
  11. Use 53596 πŸ‘ only about 1.5mm shorter
  12. Without checking first, you will need the 46mm shafts, uprights and arms to make it all work together. Why not just get 44mm shafts?
  13. Tough search there mate πŸ™
  14. The 53308 set suits thicker servos and was I think the first aluminium stays, 49092 is the same size just blue. 53596 should work on the tb01. The ones on ebay(blue/silver/orange) are copies not genuine tamiya parts but look like a nicely made item.
  15. Correct πŸ‘except they came with a front one-way diff. The 2 has aluminium bulk heads.
  16. Proper chassis pornπŸ‘ Definitely needs the aluminium servo stays, I think a set of aluminium dampers 49141 would really finish it off.
  17. Also interested in this build I've got 3 ta06's 2 on the shelf and 1 ex club racer. I may have a look at doing this myself, how about a one-way diff in the front to give front brakes? Or is that cheating πŸ€”?

Are you using the Tamiya titanium screws?

    TB-02R rebuild

I built a tb02r a few years ago, found every hop up for it, cost about 3x the cost of the kitπŸ™„
  21. If it was me I'd put such a rare part on a shelf queen πŸ‘
