  1. Oh great, now you want me to do something I don't know how to do. I know how to post a photo to my showroom, but not here on the forums. Perhaps when I find some more time I can do such a thing. I haven't given up since I emphatically trust the seller and he has assured me that they will work, I will just wait until I get the new RE RE wheelset.
  2. Well to clarify. The auction posted as tires for SS and Frog, et al. He gives dimensions for the inner diameters and they are the same front and rear, so I must be doing something a little wrong. I have been contacted from him and he reminded me they fit snugly, so I will have to practice mounting them and give them some more patience. Cheers for all the info.
  3. I have a SuperChamp. I finally got some new rubber from a couple of trades with fellow TC members. I bought some aftermarket "street" tires from a GOOD known ebayer. He let me know the tires would fit on my SC wheels no problem even though he advertises them for the SS and RR. I kinda have a problem as the inner hole on the rear tire allows the outer pieces of the three piece wheel to actually go inside the "bead". I don't want to give up the tires, but I might have to. I am certain the ebay seller will give me all my money back, just wanted to know about the other SRB wheels and keep the tires. Thanks for your input.
  4. Nice to know all this, but my question is this. Did the SS and RR only come with the black bumper, or did the SuperChamps also get a black bumper???? I don't have the original bumper for my SC, but I might entertain the thought of buying a runner bumper somewhere down the line.
  5. Well you made me look at my NIP part tree. It has no date on the pack, but there is "sticker code" from '86 and it has the hole. The part number is X7024, A parts for 15,16,27,34 I don't know how much help that is, but it is my two cents worth.
  6. I am with the other members about the cool headed approach. I will admit to being impatient myself, right now I finally bought myself some new arms for my HotShot queen and the seller gave the option to Priority mail(2-3 days) or First Class mail(about 3 business days average). I chose First class since I bought it early in the week and paid via Paypal so I figure the parts would get here by Saturday. Well the seller informed me via email that the parts would ship Wednesday so the Saturday arrival was out the door. I hope to see them on Monday. I digress, but I noticed that eBay wouldn't let me look for the "seller" of your SS and their current or past completed items. At first I thought that since I looked it up on the US version of eBay, that was what was wrong. I changed to UK version of eBay and got the same thing. I hope the rest shows up and this doesn't turn out to be a bad April Fool's joke. I also can agree with someone else's view on if a seller's ID is used, they are responsible for what they are selling. The "electronic garage sale" is very popular in my area. I can think of about 5 such "storefronts" in a 10 square mile area. The concept is simple, take in people's stuff and Junk at times, sell it "in store" or on ebay and then charge them a fee based on selling price and if that amounts to nothing, charge them a set fee for your time. I don't know about that concept, but us Americans sure collect a bunch of junk. Personally, I try to donate and recycle as much of my old things as possible.
  7. As requested, I got them on the phone for a few minutes and they were able to spend some time with me to tell me their prices. Here they are; price edits#%#%#%#% 58295 109 58211 109 58322 189 58248 100 58333 109 58337 175 58317 175 58330 109 58283 109 58296 119 58292 119 58332 109 58323 109 58271 155 58298 179 58270 155 58251 109 49337 155 58346 105 Now you need to know that most kits weigh about 7 pounds and that they require odd shaped boxes sot the postage will be figured out when they are packed up. I am also having to pay TAX as I am not a distributer or fellow hobby shop person etc. The tax rate is 8.25% a quick way to figure that would be would be simply take the price then multiply by 1.0825 (IE WWII CHROME $155 * 1.0825=$167.79 purchase price) Cheers, Chris
  8. Okay Gents and Ladies. This is the game. I am going to a NON Local Hobby Shop(200 miles away) this weekend with the intent to buy all his Tamiya kits and parts if I find any. I called and got a list of the NIB kits he has as of 2-10-06. I can't assure ALL or ANY of the kits will be there, but he mentioned a few that were there on my last visit in September 05. The deal will be this.... YOU MUST PUT A DEPOSIT OF $100 USD in my paypal account at 'chrisubooth@yahoo.com' and then ALSO notify me that you paid as paypal's email system is slow. YOU MUST INCLUDE THE TAMIYA kit number that you are 'reserving' somewhere in the body of your message. You should check your paypal shipping address too as I will be using that system to calculate postage and to know where you are. I have not gotten hard prices on the kits, but I can assure you he has them priced LESS THAN the suggested price listed on the TAMIYA AMERICA web page for the same part number. I know some folks might not go for this or wonder if it is a joke, but I can assure you and you can ask some other members about me. I AM LEGIT on the offer and not out to make any mint on 'reselling' these kits to another TC MEMBER. I have tried to convince this guy to sell me and ship this stuff WITHIN the state of Texas, but he won't budge. He insists that if anyone wants to buy his stuff, they need to do it in person and he doesn't want to ship anything anywhere. Here is a list of kits that he gave me, FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. I will have to refund money if a second person wants a 'paid for' car kit. ' 58295 58211 58322 58248 58333 58337 58317 58330 58283 58296 58292 58332 58323 58271 58278-----RESERVED 58298 58270 58251 58346 49337 Check the TC page or Tamiya page to cooralate the part number with the kit and get the specs from there as space doesn't allow here. I will have to add $5 USD to the over all cost for a box purchase in order to assure a good box is used to ship in. I will most likely have to add an additional $5 for packing materials as well. I will bill anyone the REMAINDER amount and the shipping fee and the ACTUAL postage via paypal. If you don't mind sharing with me, I would like to know your TC "handle, call sign, member name" It goes without saying, PAYPAL REQUIRED and you have to agree to the terms I have stated. You only have until FRIDAY THE 17th of FEB by about 6 pm CST to get your 'bids' in as I won't have internet access after that. If you have questions, I will try to answer them ASAP, but hope I have described everything COMPLETELY. I don't know if every kit will be there when I get there as he is a retail store, but I will REFUND anyone's money that comes in on a kit he doesn't have.
  9. Thanks guys for all the info. About the monoshocks, one word... HotShot, so I guess I was meant to get one of these on road chassis.
  10. Hey there, just curious as I don't seee many on the page. What is the concensus about the S-MX lowdown??? Is there so much that makes it a One off car that it is a bad idea to buy a used broken one that needs parts??? I am looking at one with no build manual and so checking the online manual didn't notice too much in common with any other cars. I am still new to the M class chassis, so I don't really want to get stuck with a car I can't repair easily or cheaply. Let me know your opinions on this purchase before I throw some money away. Crash
  11. Hope I am not too late to tell you I have a QD tx here in the states. I can send it over to you for a few quid if you like. It has a decent albeit bent antenae, but no crystal. It is all yours if you would like it, steering wheel type and all, put a 9 volt battery in it and the red light came on, hope that means it is working okay. Chris
  12. Kai, It was my pleasure to help and that is why I am in the club. I think any club should work that way, you help each other out when you can. Thanks for the comments, I will look you up when in Germany.
  13. I guess a better question would be, what do you think the resale value would be after I built it and looked at it a while on my shelf. I mean if I don't have much to lose when I buy it and then build it, then I don't see how I could lose. I just really thought about building something and not really running it, then when I got bored with it, sell it. Thanks for the read and reply.
  14. Hey, I was just wondering how much the chrome WW2 was going for lately. I have an interest in getting something new to build and look at and then in the future, sell as unused, but assembled and will keep the box with the car at all times and pass it along to whoever buys it. I just have a build itch that has to be scratched. Thanks for the advise folks. I had to leave my house in Houston, but I know it is fine and all my Tamiya stuff should be just fine too.
  15. I see this buyer is not active, then all of a sudden is and I see the seller is "new". This seller did answer my email, but I am weary of sending a money order only or bank transfer to Kuwait. I just thought you should know in case you are looking. Here are some of his known links and others that the "buyer" bought in the past from "another" seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...eName=WDVW&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=5983909815 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=5983941642
  16. Well thanks Jim for clearing that up. I was much the same way, my mother's often heard exasperation.... "Wait until it breaks until you tear it apart!!" LOL
  17. Well I have run across something Idon't know what it went on. That is not odd since I don't have a three speed(what I suspect it goes on) and I don't own too many old kits either. Here is the auction I saw and hopefully someone knows what it goes to. http://cgi.ebay.com/TAMIYA-PLANETARY-GEARB...1QQcmdZViewItem
  18. Hello all, I have ammassed some parts for a few TA01 builds, but I have an extra BRAND NEW GRAY chassis. I am looking to build a shelf queen Manta Ray and I don't beleive they had the gray plastic chassis out when that car was in production. Since I am a stickler for detail, I would like to even trade someone for a correct BLACK TA01 chassis. It must have the honeycombs and say Manta Ray. Please let me know if you have one and willing to trade. I am not interested at this time for buying one since I have plenty of projects to do and this doesn't have first priority. Thanks for your replies.
  19. thanks for the update, I am sorry I didn't get back with you. Life has been crazy for months around here to say the least.
  20. did you ever get this part??? I am moving this week and next but that is a better opportunity to go through my stuff when I settle in.
  21. Okay, I can try a couple of these suggestions, but I guess none of you guys have ever visited Texas. It gets soo hot here that you can literally cook an egg on the sidewalk. For your info, the garage is "finished" inside with sheet rock walls and ceiling and an alu door. The tires will be stored inside only and it is mainly the plastics that I am worried about since my HotShot arms self destructed (See link in showroom)http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=25418&sid=2640. I think my wife will let me have a few cars in side, but they will be in a showcase. Thanks for the input, though.
  22. do you have a part number??? I have a wing that is uncut and Kyosho, but have no Idea what it goes to. I can get the part number when I get home.
  23. Tower Hobbies has them and they will ship the body ONLY to the uK. Check them out.
  24. Last check, I saw that TowerHobbies has the shell and wing, just no decals. I bought one myself there and it comes in a poly bag.
  25. Hey Sho, how about submitting a pic of the upgrade, I am interested in doing that to a runner. Thanks
