  1. Looks very cool and as an owner of the original chassis, that servo bit sure is a PITA, so good on you if it works out AND makes another length option for this chassis.
  2. I know about that well, I was simply trying to embellish my Mini Cooper with some carbon decal and it did not come out looking half as good as your wing there.
  3. One of the old TCers that went by the name "thesuper" would enjoy seeing this chassis pulling that speed. Repetative??!!??!BAH, it is pretty darn good and I have to say I chuckled a bit like Daniel Ricciardo today when the camera got it a few times. Good to see it is made of stout stuff too. Now that you have half of a figure 8 track, when will can we plan on the other half being done??? That would be some fun to come and enjoy some weekend. Oh yea, MIND THE PROPANE TANK>
  4. I am starting to think we might share some of these experiences over on the forum post for FUNNIES.
  5. Seems the best area to run was up by the nice old Mini. I loved catching a glimpse of the loader crane moving some debris or what have you and the cyclists didn't even seem phased by the car
  6. MMMMM< I love the smell of a good baked cricket.
  7. You guys are soooooooooooo DIRTY. Dog Log, love it.
  8. Oh, well, if THAT is the look you are going for, well, yep they will work. and YES, it is hot..... A HOT MESS.
  9. That is looking nice, can't wait for the red to be applied. I still need to sort your decals.
  10. I am in TEXAS, getting a touch of rain tonight, but not much yet.
  11. Dangit, you beat me to it, was going to call out the reversed tires. I wasn't going to be cheeky enough to have him shoot all the photos again though.
  12. Those tires don't quite look right for that chassis. Just sayin'
  13. Thanks for the heads up, fingers crossed as I don't have many options to get through there and it seems EVERY year they are working on something, last year it was Indiana's turn to be the construction state.
  14. Oh, I am playing Hot Wheels today a bit as well, but my bedtime is fast approaching. Have a look at IG, my name over there is cubooth
  15. Well, I certainly didn't do so much as you lot, but I went to work and then got my hair cut and then came home to collapse in bed for a nap from the heat. Went to check on "mud's" parts in the rock tumbler as they have been going almost 2 days now. They are getting some nice satin finish to them. I began to clean up the ugliest bits he sent me, the shock stuff and a few other bits in brass. NOW, ONTO THE COMMENTS. NOW THAT looks a MILLLION times better, thanks for the idea, will see about doing that to mine. DROOOL DROOOOOOL WHO WOULD have thought, forget the $15 shock building stand, just get the old butter tub and cut some circles into it. That is what I love about this page, outside the box thinking on many levels. ALLLLL OF THAT DRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL, I want to come over, but I have to convince my wife to get up to New Jersey sometime.
  16. Looks to be in great condition for used, those tires might not be the easiest to find, but I think you will find modern rubber to be best suited to today's tracks. I cringe every time I go to pull the body off my shelfer as that front nose seems like it is ready to crack wide open.
  17. I drive through Ferguson to go and visit the in laws in Ohio. My mom lives in Nevada, MO. Will be in a pretty big hurry this year though, have to make it to OH in quick time.
  18. Not to say I told u so, but even though it isn't easy to source the polycarbonate cleaner, it is WELL worth it as it doesn't stink as much as you are describing this Tardis stuff, but if you got a sonic screwdriver with your order, I can understand.
  19. Sounds like the rere is helping out immensely with your rebuild. What will become of the Bigfoot body?
  20. That sure looks good with that body on it, who made that body?? I am wondering what it might look like with some Lowride MP wheels and some cool 4x4 1.9 tires That sure does look like a Boomer and BW offspring, pretty cool. I think the Nissan King Cab got a ton of toys made for it as it has that great color scheme on it. OUCH, you are digging those nails into my eyes. I have looked all over for just the SBF box and they really don't come up for sale on eBay much. The last one I saw came complete with a beat up chassis as such, but I just couldn't add another project or pile o parts to my collection, so I let it slip through my fingers. Some day, I might have that box.
  21. GREAT, now I have wasted countless minutes on YOUTUBE watching/listening to his bit, I don't know if I laughed louder at the water bit or the DUMP bit!!!! Thanks for that. Nice sexy Bronco there BTW Now WHY can't I get that lucky, NICE FIND and the near impossible to get yellow minilite wheels too@!!!! If you really hate those rally block tires, hate them my way. Too bad we aren't a bit closer, we could do some horse trading with those chassis. Would you look at that, smaller scale OVAL BLOCK tires from the HotShot, interesting buggy. I don't know if I will ever NOT GIGGLE when I read about a car going into "fairy liquid" The poor fairies, how do they make that stuff??? You know, there are some other options there too, 4+3=7(X2)= M14, or there is 4x3= M12 or even 4+3=7(squared)= M49, the possiblities could be more than that. I SEE A CLEAN SPOT, GET BACK OUT THERE AND GET MORE DIRT ON THAT CAR(BTW, it is the body post that is clean) And that router!!??!?!(*)( Wow, looks like the machines will eventually take us over. Does it have a glowing eye that moves like a Cylon or KITT???
  22. I fully agree with my astonishment on how well the Tamiya screwdrivers worked with the hardware after using simple Craftsman for years, but about 17 years ago, I did buy a set of German screwdrivers from an electronics supply store of sorts and they too work much better than simple Craftsman SAE. ONE COMMENT on that 8 piece set, it will be great FOR THE TRACK OR PORTABLE USE, I wouldn't buy it unless you were really tight on work space or have tiny Dwarf/Hobbit hands as the driver tools handles are a bit wee and then you only get ONE slide on grip handle and it kinda stinks to change out the driver tool for the larger grip simply because of one screw in this step or that step. You get my drift I think. I like the set I have, but it really isn't something I would have bought if I had known about the size of the driver handle and the struggles I have had with it. Mind you, I threw it in my pit box and works wonders in a pinch for working with the set screws from time to time. If you find the OLD Tamiya BLACK HANDLED screwdrivers on clearence somewhere, perhaps that will make you feel great about the purchase of a $10 screwdriver, but it is WORTH IT IMHO after having my single screwdrivers a few years now. What a great set of BlackFEET.
  23. Boy, did you get a sharp stick to the eye. We bought our "old" fridge second hand from a friend 7 years ago at age 7 already, so putting 14 years worth of food and all in there was quite a good thing I suppose in the long run. That $200 installation stings too, my fridge came with both free delivery and installation, only catch was that I HAD to buy a new water line for the icemaker as per protocol. $10, so not that bad a deal really. It is finally cold in there and making some paltry portions of ice, so that will be a new thing to get used to. I did get some hobby time in late last night, one box for Dan ready to go as well as some gold wheels painted for an Instagram photo or two. I am named "cubooth" on IG for all you Hot Wheels fans out there, drop by and give a look.
  24. SO, today I got up earlyish and mowed my yard and the neighbor's front yard. Took shower, went shopping at the home center, ate a burger out, Talked to Tamiyamandan for about 5 minutes and then the NEW FRIDGE(HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HONEY) showed up, empty out old fridge, vacuum under old fridge, etc, watch men push in and install new fridge water line and all, then the waiting for it to cool off for several hours began. I guess I shouldn't have picked a 90+ degree day to swap out fridges, but who plans these things??? The old 14 year old fridge was "singing" to us whenever the freezer was cooling off, figured it was on its last leg and I don't have room in my garage for the old with what with all my "TOYS" as the wife puts it, so out to the truck went the old fridge. I did score a couple of nice Hot Wheels and played in the garage to get a box ready to ship to my brother and Dan, but I was sweating all the time out there, too bad I can't just sweat off these 30 extra pounds!!!
  25. I SECOND THAT!!!
