  1. Great looking stuff there and I think I can speak for a large amount of us that do want to see Tamiya stuff here, but we are not obtuse enough to think it is the ONLY great looking RC stuff out there. Keep on sharing and showing us what you are up to, I like the old Jeeps, shame Tamiya can't get their heads on straight and do some of the licensed stuff to the great level of detail they have been known for for so long now.
  2. I hear ya, it was a bit of a treat BITD when a model you might have in your showroom randomly showed up to the right in the "highlight reel" for the day, a quick 3 thumb collection that sometimes had a theme and other times were just cool to look at again. It was a bit of a treat to see your car pop up there from time to time. I am enjoying what little time I have had on the new site, but...... THIS is what I will really be looking forward to as I am doing a little more iPad viewing these days more than I ever have. The Hamburger menu is a completely new and nearly foreign experience to me and I must admit it is off putting to learn all over again how to get to the things on the new site so I tend to give up fast and easy. I sorta miss the simple "MORE" link buttons to expand the showroom posts from the 10 or so front page thumbs into a little more detailed listing of all things put up for the set few days or such. As always, just my 2 cents worth. I am still pretty happy with the look, some fonts are a bit big, some are a bit cluttered and busy(sales, wanted, auctions area) and the learning curve is still with me, but it will sort itself out. I have to say the one thing I might be missing more these days is a way to make the photos bigger and centered in the window, the previous incarnation simply required you to punch on the photo to "zoom" in a bit and then there was the option to slideshow it. I know that it didn't always work like it was intended to, but, it was a neat feature to go through the post without a ton of scrolling. I find the bit where you can't look at a larger icon or avatar by pushing on it is another simple little pleasure I miss too. I know, progress, so getting used to it.
  3. We aren't that mean, you can post non Tamiya stuff here, would like to see what you are building there with some chrome bits.
  4. Where do you buy your M3 treaded rod??? I would like to get some and also wondering if you double nutted/jam nutted two m3 nuts onto the middle of the rod, would that act like a turnbuckle then??
  5. Hey Alberto, cool project, you forgot to put Ampro on the second piece of the servo mount, just sayin' also, No Disassemble Johnny Five
  6. YEEEOOUCH, Think they cut some of your credit card with those side cutters for plastic!!?!?!?!? WOW, I think I would have left them there. Um, I can't figure if you guys are joking or are serious??? Really, it is just a scorcher.
  7. Great looking bundle there, how are you fixed for decals??? I also couldn't afford that radio as a kid, but got one a few years ago finally. Nice little bundle and I have a "toy/hobby lobby" grade rock tumbler here with some walnut shell/media that I tumble bits in like that, could be less aggressive than the wire wheel and save a finger or two. Shoot me a mail mud, we might have some bits to swap there.
  8. I learned that lesson on the wheels ages ago, I always insist the shipper pull the wheels off so there is less likely damage to them. It doesn't add up how a car can jump over boulders and curbs and scream down the road with no damage to the wheels, but pack it up in a box and send it in the mail and viola, cracked/broken wheel???
  9. Hmmm, stupid autocorrect. My first word was Oooooo
  10. Loon, I am liking what I see there. Thanks Chris for all you are doing to update the site. I just renewed my sub.
  11. Hey Terry, according to those coordinates, you are in Raliegh, North Carolina. I am sorry to hear your flooding story as we had a bout with that some last year too, nearly the same time of year. I have a story of DID NOT make it to me in the mail, MY ESCROW CHECK. I talked with a real live person about it tonight AGAIN, about the 4th time since March 30th of this year and I am not sure how it could take this long to get me a check of my OWN MONEY from Dallas area. I coulda crawled up there and back in this time frame. RANT OVER for now, hope you guys dry up soon.
  12. Where I know the shipping to NZ would kill the deal, kit breakers on eBay sometimes throw the grease in a lot of tools or the like auctions. THIS is where I buy my goodies. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TAMIYA-EGRESS-2013-Shock-Oil-Diff-Grease-TY40-/311845199593?hash=item489b6c1ee9:g:SD8AAOSwXeJYNPHT
  13. WHAT IS THAT???
  14. Yea, those are a bit big, wonder if SCollins could put them to use, I sent him a partial Red Bull decal sheet a while ago. Both he and I are in the states, so postage could be an issue. I don't see many Discount Tire sponsor decals all that often, so that is an interesting sheet you have there, from what??
  15. Well, TamiyaUSA show it to be discontinued, but we get things so inconsistently and such, that isn't always a good measure of rarity. They do describe it as a LIMITED EDITION, so good find and hope you build it up with a project in mind.
  16. So, just how big ARE those Red Bull decals??? Perhaps they are useable on something altogether different, like the KongHead.
  17. That looks cool, it's got me thinking of getting out my MB body from Parma and painting it up white now.
  18. THAT looks pretty cool to me, perhaps some bed strip separators like the real thing will help it look more like you want it to. Those wheels look good and almost remind me of the sunny truck or whatever it is they call the mini 4wd Ranger that takes 2 AA batteries. The tail lights look great too, nice work I live in Texas where Dr Pepper was invented, so I can get it everywhere around me easy. I have had to cut down though, getting too round in the waist and stomach zone.
  19. Good looking tires and well, they are done well. Good thing your painting isnt "SHAKEY" like your driver.
  20. YOU YOUNG WHIPPER SNAPPERS, with your good eyes and such, stop your whining and get back in the pram. All kidding aside, I agree, but I think we might be in a minority report there, we shall see what Chris does in due time as he seems to be wading in a bit of other glitches at the moment
  21. Also, is it just me or could the font headings of the SALES, TRADES, and MEMBER'S EBAY have a different coloring much like the opening statement of BIG MONTH BIG CHANGES??? the color differences for me would help me ID what I was looking at in all the bold font. Just my 2 cents worth on that.
  22. So, Chris, got some proofreading done and found this on the front page this morning. "Welcome to the New Tamiyaclub.com site! A lot has changes in 15" Oh and this has bugged me a few days, extra word??? I don't speak the Queen's English, so I just thought I would say it for us mericans. "so we've rebuilt from the site from the ground up." Now it seems I am not getting emoticons to pull up, but it did convert my : and D to the automatically which was kinda cool. I use Win10 and FireFox browser on a Dell PC for my desktop.
  23. So are you a JEEP MAN??? I got something non RC here for ya then. Custom work invited to it. I can relate all too well. Well, I don't know if those "RUINED" shells are still with you, but I am removing some paint from a 30 year old HotShot body and it comes off with some Lexan cleaner and a q-tip so easy you would think the paint just got sprayed on it. Give it some looking into, the sellers seem to be in Asia for it as my LHS isn't carrying anything other than Tamiya Paint for Lexan and that is all.
  24. Topforcein, THAT is pretty drop dead gorgeous with a resto mod kind of way. I think you can change your mind about the smoke windows when using the Tamiya lexan cleaner, it works really well and leaves no residue that I have found in my limited experience with it on vintage bodies. Just a thought should you feel an interior is in the car's future.
  25. I seem to be overly picky, I could give it a go, but only part time mind you.🙃
