  1. Oh, now I understand how these subliminal messeges work... I saw this picture and now i can't resist buying a new black edition Clod... shame on you!
  2. Onece I had the same problem with a Leopard 2. The sound worked but it did't turn. I figured out that the plug which connected the motor and mfc was very loose. It was connected but had to push it more togeather.
  3. Cool video Don't ask me why but the Lunch Box mini is my favorite Tamiya car... It's just so cute and crazy durble...
  4. Monster Beetle Trail WR02TR uses the same wheels with portals.
  5. I can't imagine how could Tamiya do such un ugly body for the MudMad, it would even be better if only the front grill would cover the front of the chassis. And those wheels are terrible. A lot of owner uses the racing truck wheels. They look way cooler than the original...
  6. The MudMad is a bit Disappointing for me. Looks ugly and Tamiya really could work on some new off road tires for M-size rims to suit the SW-01 chassis. The Avante is cool and those new tires are awsome. The Volvo 8x4 truck is a work of art as usual. The Volvo A60H looks way better than I tought. Maybe the best looking truck on G6-01 chassis. The Kyosho Mini-Z trucks are cool but Kyosho could really work on a chassis that suits standard size servo, ESC and 380 motor as is in the SW-01 chassis. Despite that the SW-01 chassis is a bit silly and wobbly the possibility to put standard size electronics in it is a BIB BIG +.
  7. Do you mean Comical Avante???... or just simple Avante?
  8. I absolutely agree, portals would look silly on the Volvo A60H... So if I could make the decisions at Tamiya about the future releases, here's my list :D : 1./ Grave Digger on TXT-2 chassis with decent body and wheels 2./ Full Option Challenger 2 MBT 1/16 3./ A 8x8 dump truck (Mercedes or Scania) 1/14 4./ IFS conversion for TT02 chassis 5./ SW-01 chassis with a comical Martini Porsche body, like on the picture... sweeeeeet :D
  9. ...or a mini 8x8 army truck based on 2xSW-01chassis...:D And I cant' wait to see the new Volvo a60h based on the G6-01 chassis... I want...I want... please Tamiya!
  10. You made the perfect choice... here is a good review of the CG while you wait for it to arrive... (I hope it is ok to post it here...) https://www.bigsquidrc.com/tamiya-comical-grasshopper-wr-02cb-review/
  11. If you want something that the kids can bash without the fear of breaking something I think that the comical grasshopper is a good choice. It has better performance than the Lunchbox/Pumpkin. The CVA shocks make it a better runner and Much more durable. (Thick lexan body vs ABS, strong body mounting points against the Lunchbox and Pumpkin weak body mounts.) The gearbox is bulletproof in eighter trucks. And kids love the comical style. The comical hornet and frog are good too but the rear wing is a weak point on both. The comical grasshopper is a speed tank.
  12. Sometimes, when I pull full trigger on the radio and try to wheely one after another, the car just stopps and the ESC beeps than it runs just fine after a few seconds. I use it with the stock motor and four AAs. Is it just the normal power lack that some of you wrote? I use TBLE-02s esc with the lipo cutoff turned off...
  13. The Leo 2A6 is my favorite build but the so many glueing can be quite frustrating for a modeller. My longest build was a CC01. Put it togeather one time and then started to hop it up... took 2+ years. I sold it to avoid bankruptcy...:)
  14. Starting in order from most challenging; Abrams Full Option 1/16 Mercedes Arocs Tipper truck Mercedes 1850L truck Bruiser Re-Re High-Lift trucks (Hilux, F-350, Tundra) TXT-2 Agrios Clod Buster CR-01 Land Cruiser CC-02 Mercedes G The tractor trucks and high lift trucks are even more challenging with the optional multi function units but I listed them without it.
  15. Maybe the SW-01 Lunch Box Mini is Tamiyas answer to this question... perfect size and performance for holidays. Good for indoors and outdoors.
  16. Sell them all and buy a Full Option tank instead, it will keep you busy all year...
  17. It seems to be a fact based on a lot of other Tamiya users mentioning this here and there on other forums as well. Clear plastic parts are more brittle and breaks more easily. I think they're more for show than bashing around.
  18. Nice but clear parts are always more fragile... but I like the red parts coming with the RTR version.
  19. Yes, it is the same one. Costs 15.09 Euros https://tamico.de/Tamiya-Batteriehalterung-4xAA-T3-01-Dancing-Rider But you can also buy an old receiver battery holder because it is the same 4 AA style and fits perfect. You only have to change the plug to Tamiya connector. Don't ask me where, but I guess almost every LHS has it. That one looks like this on the attached picture:
  20. I'm using mine with the Tamiya AA adaptor. Bought it from Tamico.
  21. Hi Guys, I used to have full op Leopard 2 tanks but sold them ages ago... Now I'm planning to build an Abrams but to be honest I don't really care about multi function controls. My plan would be to buy a display version and make it RC. Because I only want the tank to run without any other functions, (like older Tamiya motorized versions...) I would choose cheaper electronics for it. Now the only problem is that the Abrams like Tamiya modern tanks uses one motor for rideing and the other only for turning. This way I can't use a cheaper version electronics like the Sherman DMD or so... But I don't want to spend a lot of cash on the Abrams electronic boards. I found out that connecting two ESCs to the receiver could work. One for the cruising motor and the other for the turning motor. Could it work if I disconnect the + and ground cable from one ESC? And of course zero out the break function to work properly. What do you think? Thanks in advance, Daniel
  22. TXT-2 all the way.... fun on any terrain, great build and HUGE!!! Quite durable but not the way like Traxxas trucks. And later you can buy a lot of nice hopups for it. The stock wheels and tires are not so nice but with TXT-1 wheels and pickup body its a beauty. Also TXT is the most authentic replica of real monster trucks... Tundra is a nice build but gets boaring on trail. Brat is a nice truck but I always found ORV chassis annoying while building but its only my personal oppinion
  23. Hello, yes all correct... The wheels are direct fit for the tires and chassis. The LB mini has the Race Truck tires stock. You only need decals for the bumper but I guess that the clear boby contains decals... MCI racing decals are great quality. I ordered one for my Juggy restauration and they were perfect. Just select 1/24 scale when ordering.
