Yes I agree. Also, the Mercedes 190 raced in many different schemes for lots of different racing teams. I am not sure the ones Tamiya has chosen to model are the best choices.

Good (ish) Tamiya are lacking imagination in my opinion. I didn't include the TA07R or the TRF103 because I have no idea about these upper end kits. So I have no way of knowing whether they are good or bad. Where is the next DT-03 car? Oh right.....a green Neo Fighter lol....how lazy. Where is the DT-03MS? Where is the next new release buggy on the DT-03? Where is the hopped up TT-02B with metal gears to make it almost as good as the DF-02? Why only one re-release buggy? There are loads not yet re-released! How about a brand new 2 wheel drive on road car chassis with never before released body? (2CV is on M-05 chassis, which is fine) ..... So....Good (ish) IMO

My verdict so far..... 1) Mercedes 190 E Debis on the TT-01...nice car but why on the TT-01? Put the TT-01 to bed Tamiya for god's sake! 2) 47375 Pajero metal top....not worth buying. Too glitzy and why bother? 3) 47367 Manta Ray - Nice...I will get one....or two..... 4) 47366 Plasma Edge II - Hmmmm.....not sure.....easy and LAZY release 5) 47371 Neo Fighter Buggy in Metallic Green.......awful in the photos.....I will have to see it in real life. Poor and Lazy release..... 6) 47346 Neo Scorcher in Metallic Blue.....the more I see this the more I don't like it!!! 7) 58655 Citroen 2CV on M-05....I like it very much.....I will buy it!.....and build it in pseudo James Bond yellow! 8) Lancia 037 on the TA-02S ....top of my purchase list!!!!!! All in all disappointing. Lancia 037, Manta Ray and 2CV are very nice and will be purchased. Where does Tamiya get their ideas from? I think they would release a dog turd as a Metallic Special!!!

Hang on....I think I have worked out a good Omen! 959 and 2018 9+9 = 18....from 2018 That leaves us with 5 and 20 20 divided by 5 is 4 So....2018 is the year 4 the 959!! Amazing!!!!!

I do wish I had kept it lol.... But when you are young you don't realise these things. 8 years later....I bought a second hand Silver Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja......then a brand new Green Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja.....and then a Brand new Kawasaki ZX-9R Ninja...... I took the Green ZX-6R to France in 2001......what a fabulous holiday......140mph sprints for 5 minutes....then a 25mph poodle through a village.....then another 140mph sprint for another 5 minutes!!! LOL...and repeat...all day long! Happy memories!!!!

Nitomor, what sort of motorbike can be purchased with funds raised from a second hand Manta Ray? Could it out-accelerate my Yamaha RD350 YPVS in 1988? lol

Just as a side note here, if you use a charger with a microprocessor, Lipos don't catch fire. Obviously if the charger is faulty then yes it will - but I never leave my Lipos charging and unsupervised. I have charged my Lipos 1000's of times without bags. AND I haven't heard of friends or read articles of Microprocessor controlled chargers overcharging Lipos to the extent that they catch fire. If anybody has proof of a non-faulty microprocessor controlled charger causing a Lipo to combust then please add your contribution here. Cheers.

Well....I did laugh when I saw the 2CV on the MO5 chassis lol BUT I bet it will be a fun little model. Wheels & tyres are going to be odd....they must surely be narrow to look scale!!!? Manta Ray will be purchased. An odd looking design but it has Tamiya written all over it! (I know it doesn't literally before anybody says "no it doesn't" lol) Interested in the Isuzu Type x on the CC-01 I am also eagerly awaiting the Lancia 037 release details. I wonder if the Jun Watanabe body warmer thing they released recently means we will be getting another Jun Watanabe car? Maybe the Jun Watanabe Super Clod Buster? lol

Some great "wants" there lads. I would love more rally cars to add to my collection. I would also LOVE the Toyota Celica Gr B : Kit 58064 to be re-released. And I have talked myself into getting the Dancing Rider next year too! lol

To my mind there was just the standard Tshot that we all know of. But I am no Tamiya expert. You can always make one up......lots of TRF decals and fancy paints out there.....

@ThunderDragonCY Great comment. My mentioning a possible DF-04 is in hope lol....but I prefer the DF-02 to the TT-02B as it has metal gears and seems more durable....and the DF-03 is also nice. It wouldn't susprise me to see a TT-03 lol even though the TT-02 is still alive and well.....

Some interesting comments! @Wandy - I had actually forgotten lol, but Nuremberg tends to be the main event in the Tamiya Calendar. But yes, bring it on.....lots of juicy new models I hope!

Is it likely to get a new model on the SRB? Given that it is a vintage chassis!? A nice thought though! I hope Tamiya starts to move away from childish themes like Kumamon, and starts to appeal to us "born again" 40 something modellers! I say keep the child themes for the Jap kids LOL More Animal themes and gorgeous white boxes would be brill......Tamiya Dragonfly.......Tamiya Eagle.......? MS chassis are always good..... But a new chassis succession would be nice....like a DF04......

So guys.....what do we want to appear at the next Nuremberg Toy Fair in February 2018? I will start off ...... 1) DT03 - MS would be brilliant. 2) Hop Ups for the TT-02B with metal gears so it can handle Brushless - Like the DF02 can. 3) CC-02 new release chassis 4) DF-04 new release chassis AND....the Ford Ranger XLT Re-release on the SRB chassis! Instead we will get a "God Burning Sun" model on the TT-02B and a Kumamon Midnight Pumpkin!

It will definitely be worth a build....but will it be worth driving? Lancias are simply gorgeous...whatever the model or spec. Odd to make a 2wd car a 4wd! Tamiya "new model department" have taken leave of their senses....again lol

Well, Looking on TamiyaBlog today has highlighted 2 new purchases next year..... I will have to treat myself lol ;-)
