  1. Correct on all points there... ...I grew up in a house where my dad flew RC aircraft.....so it is in the blood. My interest in cars started early teens....and the two have always been with me ever since (especially now I drive and have owned many cars) I fly RC aircraft and have done for 30 years (scary it has been so long)
  2. I would say I am 2/3 a plane enthusiast and 1/3 a car enthusiast....if I was to do a split. I have a You Tube channel where I share my 3 hobbies with the viewer........namely RC Aircraft.......RC Cars....and Plastic Modelling. Link here.... https://www.youtube.com/c/SimonWebbRCandModellingChannel/videos Also, I have some aircraft in my showroom here! Simon
  3. I am back guys. Thanks taffer for your great help. I have missed the old place.......lol
  4. Hi Superluminal, I fly regularly and I have built up a nice little squadron now! I am a member of Delyn Model Flying Club in North Wales......a great place to fly as the field we have is perfect. I fly with all Futaba gear so I can't really go off-piste and recommend others. My latest creation is below..... Simon
  5. I would prefer the Radix to be a kit.....because I am a modeller at heart. But it isn't - it is however a very high spec and very fast machine, with superior components and excellent build quality. I would also argue it is not a toy because it can be stripped down to its' component parts and those parts may be replaced. A toy cannot be stripped down or has parts available. Some good points in your comment though.
  6. Yes there are lots of options. My point was really that for 25% more you are into the realms of far superior kit.
  7. The list is endless.... ....But I did stick to RC Cars.....lol
  8. If you go back to my original comment.....I was commenting on the price!!!! Meaning for ONLY £100 more....you can have a "very different machine"
  9. It is much better in real life....but it is the spec of this car that is very good. 1/8th scale...6 cells.....handling is amazing.....very competent machine. And as I say....only £100 more! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....
  10. These things handle like a God......not sure you know what you are talking about......lol
  11. Wow yes...Walton's Model Shop......Pale Blue Hornet........lol Well remembered!
  12. Oh that's great! So glad you enjoy them. Any favourites? I appreciate some feedback so thanks.
  13. lol A long list of disappointments. The look of it for one. The access to the battery. The silly mudguards. Non-Tamiya will be the Radix6 and the FTX Kanyon. And no...not yet.....lol. I have over 50 NIBs to build in my house at the moment......so it isn't as if I don't have much choice.....lol Plus with the nice weather I go Model Flying a lot these days......
  14. Over-engineered....and will be over-priced. The build-up preview video was brill......and got us all excited.......but the actual car is a disappointment. Sorry to say this but I will be wandering off-piste again with another Non-Tamiya purchase......
  15. I think the driver simply turned the steering wheel on his transmitter.......
