No, the Novak motor just fits. Had to rotate it around a few times to figure where the wiring would best work, that's about it.

-
yes its a tight fit in there for electronics!
I forgot another hop up I added was Acer ceramic diff balls

Maybe its the further back/lower mounting of the shocks that prevents or lessens the gearbox backlash on the other one? Or do you think they made the little coil wire in the front mount firmer in the old one?

I think I got it from rcMart but its listed as out of stock there.
Here it is on integy.com

I use a TrakPower Lipo and it fits, just. I did have to Dremel a notch so the lead could plug in to the battery, also I needed to solder one lead to a 90 degree angle to clear the prop shaft.

The only upgrades on mine are 3Racing graphite shock towers front and rear, front graphite brace, rear aluminum brace for the gear box and one for the suspension.

I tried the 3Racing steering knuckles but they bent literally on the first tumble, 30 seconds into use.

Novak Havoc 3s/Ballistic 8.5T stuffed in there

Picked up this Tamiya smoke parts tree, gives you the spur cover, body posts, front skid and wing mounts

Neighborhood kid had an Avante and Clod Buster as well as a few other choice models. Seeing him drive the Clod straight into a pond and watching it float was awesome! Looking back, his parents must have been loaded, it didn't register in junior high how expensive this stuff really was. Then a good friend of mine got a Kyosho Pegasus and Big Brute. I was stuck with endless Nikkos until mom got me a Traxxas Bullet. Still wanted that Avante though, and I still don't have it, but I've got others to keep me satisfied for now.

Its like I'm watching myself! I did the same thing, got an itch for the LB and went for the Black Edition. Then I added the strut brace, switched out the shocks for oil filled, added a 5th shock and recently switched to a Sport Tuned.
I used a stock Grasshopper shock for the 5th shock and Yeah Racing alloy dampers for the rest.

I've had a few batteries spark back at me a couple of times haha
Making a Deans-Tamiya adapter is a good idea. I think I'll do that too

Hello,
I've spent days trying to locate a Lipo pack that will fit into an unmodified TA02, and I've become somewhat frustrated. Does anyone know of a Lipo stick pack that is about 134x25x48mm? I'm looking for 4000-5000mah. I have tried dozens of links only to find them dead, discontinued, or located in the UK with outrageous prices and shipping costs... I thought I found one in the Orion ORI14171, but I can't find a retailer.... Anyone find anything new and available now?
Thanks,
Bob
The one that was listed above by 30YrsL8r is here in the USA warehouse as well. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14988__Turnigy_4000mAh_2S_30C_hardcase_pack_ROAR_APPROVED_USA_Warehouse_.html
Its 135mm, but maybe it can work for you

That's got to be a mistake, you should just need one set of 4, unless the TT-02B uses 4 fronts or 4 rear sized shocks all around. That could get expensive.
-
Thanks Grastens. Does anyone know about the TT02 hop-ups as per my previous post?
If you haven't found them by now. Here they are.

SE PA here, 25 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Here's my family

-
1. Grasshopper
2. CR-01 Landcruiser (and additional Bronco body)
3. Lunchbox Black Edition
4. DF-03 MS
More to come, I don't buy them too often but always looking

Nice Clod! And your screen name looks familiar, what other site are you on? I've been here forever too yet never post, just lurk. My screen name elsewhere is 860Crawler

Also Zippy Flightmax hardcase (from hobbyking) fits the LB chassis. Here's mine without the leads plugged in. This is a 4000mah. Its what I use to run my LB since its the only battery I have that will fit. I have a soft case 2200mah Turnigy that I use in the Grasshopper. The only issue you may run into with this Zippy battery is it uses the banana plugs for leads which may stick up too high in some vehicles unless you solder yourself up some 90 degree leads. I had to make a 90degree lead to clear the driveshaft in my DF-03MS when running hardcase Lipos.
