well guys just to let you know the voting has stopped and the results in I placed 3rd 1st was the darth vader I am your father build defo worthy of 1st 2nd was the ewok build ride of his life again worthy of placing both excellent builds achieved in 2 weeks 3rd me yay :)

fair points 94eg however not everyone likes reading post after post all the time, everybody is different in the way we take info in some people do like reading and take it in straight away, some like needing pics others videos and some like to just get hands on and get stuck in, but 20 odd people in one hangout would need a programme and you have around 3hrs of broadcast time where you could have a tutorial section a q+a section a social section a whats on the bench section etc, I wouldn't just throw the idea out, look at rc sparks on youtube etc imagine a Tamiya rc show by the people who actualy Tamiya gear on a daily basis with real world reviews real world help from the forum members who participate etc, I do understand not everyone will be interested for many reasons but there is potential. also what do not see on tv much anymore rc anything I am basing that on uk tv unless its xmas and argos are promoting something but a lot of peeps use youtube to research stuff before they part with cash and it could stimulate a response from Tamiya and take onboard things that there users are bringing up. its just an idea though and a suggestion from experience from other forums.

that's what I was thinking maybe getting special guests to join etc but lookslike its just me and you so far xv

if peeps are up for it the admin team would need to make a tamiyaclub group on g+ we all join then tc can host hangouts and we all get to chat on video etc and its free publicity by being broadcast on youtube etc I think it would be fun to chat to you guys and see what everyone is building etc

That atst is brilliant ralphee how do you find out what donar parts you need to make these things in to prop replicas? Or where to source the parts etc? You might have to do abbuild thread on your b wing and y wing buddy you defo got my interest

hey guys thinking out aloud I have a suggestion, something that is starting to happen to with other forums im on a lot is google+ hangouts. for those of you that don't know what this is when you go on to google top right of the screen says google+ gmail images etc if you haven't got an account you would need to sign up but its free, and maybe start a weekly or monthly hangout session with tc members its just like Skype except it is broadcast straight on to youtube for everybody to watch and if you don't join the hangout you can watch live from youtube and join the q+a and the host will see the questions and poses them to who ever is being asked the question. now downside is g+ is tempromental and has a few issues with bandwidth when everybody is on camera and speaking on headsets but its a good tool to use, it could bring the forum together a bit more, everyone gets to see what everyone is building or just a general natter etc. just a thought, if you want to see it for yourselfs just type google+ hangouts in to youtube and make your own mind up if you think its a good/bad idea. the only thing would be someone to host at a set time, and time zones from other parts of the world so if we can organize it we could have a u.s hangout a euro hangout a eastern hangout etc and maybe once a monthe an international hangout, unless people are willing to stay up to silly times of the morning to join someone elses hangouts. what do you guys think good idea/bad idea.

ralphee you post all the pics you want on my thread bud theres a few of us that like sci fi builds. you got some nice models there and love the snow speeder I am also building a uss voyager which is nearly finished if your interested have a search on here for my name and the thread is called star trek enterprise. if you read the thread you will see why it was called enterprise instead of voyager. but yeah keep them pics coming buddy you got some nice builds and more worrying a nice collection of unbuilts behind the star wars stuff crispy your gona need dig some of your pics out again buddy lets get geeky now the builds finished

Lol crispy im not keen on being beaten by an ewok either lol but bothbtjem builds are aweasome. That vader was the original 1970s kit that he has modified for that scene a lot of sanding/filling shaping and then he remodeles the hand for that vader gesture its worth having a look at his build thread that and the ewoks

I was down to seconds crispy to get it in the finished thread but i do agree it needs a background desperatly. I have time now to rectyfy that and a few bits here and there im not happy with. I am going to light the circuit boards also so when the lights are out the trench will light up but again i didnt have enough time or leds to get it done. I am also running out of space and desperatly need a display stand or something sovi can get the backgroundss sorted out as you suggested. Defo agree tc could do with some competions on the go with builds etc or driving something would bw good. I have just ordered a 1/1400 enterprise e today for which is going to replace voyager and i still have the unimog to get finished.

hey guys heres another update my front rooms like a shipyard, got a banging headache ummmm oh yeah the build well the base is coming on at a rapid rate of knots going from wooden nothing to death star trench on the back of the display where the graphics cards are I am leaving it open and the screws are visible so its easier to take off when I get around to lighting the base in the distant future so I have forgotten to putty them or put the sides on im leaving it that way for now. also got the plinth nearly finished got some airbrushing to do to put some detail on theres like stars etc maybe some insignia etc hey wow my heads thumping lol well the death star is nearly finished not much to do now. who knew circuit boards would make an awesome death star surface well the diorama is finished all I have left to do is finish the name plate at the front and its good to go. what a day been at it since 1000hrs gmt and nearly finished at 2200hrs gmt :-/ ill post the finished pics with the name plate in the finished thread once its done but here are the pics as it is now and heres a video of the thing hope you guys enjoy sorry guys ill make up to you my best vader janeway thing gonafinish the name plate now and im done yipee

Lol wood you will love the base then i do have an update on it ill post the pics tomoz got loads to do yet to get finished. The tie is done the x wingn is now done got a few things to get tomoz but gona spend all day and night if need be to get finished
