  1. Blue thread locker should help, not hurt, as you won't have to tighten the nut as much. Also look into serrated wheel nuts; the serrated surface will bite into the wheel plastic and work pretty well. This is common in 1/8 scale vehicles.

I once tried to fit some Associated B44 hex hubs instead of replacement Tamiya hex hubs, but the cross pin diameter wasn't right. The standard and wide Tamiya hex hubs are the only two options as Percymon points out.

    Great thank you

  2. As you know there's not much meat to the hex parts, so over tightening of the wheel but will stress them. The "wide" track versions are a little thicker but only 0.5mm each !

yes there's not much to them so have I done the right thing in ordering more tamiya ones never thought to ask if there were any other choices or upgrades

  3. Went through my box o' bits in preparation for my TL01 Evoque build. Chose the following:

5 x Fastrax black beadlock rims

CC01 tyres (could only find 4, need to source another as a spare)

A pair of 1/10 PIAA spotlights

2 x large and 2 x small brake disc hexes

    2 x locked TL01 diffs from a former drifter

CC01 stock front bumper (possible bullbar?)

Misc. tow straps and other scale gubbins

Hopefully the shell will arrive tomorrow and I can get on with the build!

Will you be doing a build thread on it

  4. Great build thread so far Nic, I really like the different ways this chassis can be set up depending on the type of car it's being used for. My only reservation would be that openness of the tub as I can see it needing a fair bit of cleaning out after a 'stage'.

You are right about the dirt getting could not believe how dirty my got after it's first run

  5. There are dozens of novels... but for the real background the rules are actually the best source or the individual codex's and army lists..

I challenged myself a little with these speed painting wise... ended up about 25 mins per figure. I'll dress them up and detail the faces etc once I get a magnifying glass so I can actually see them LOL
