When setting up my dampers should i use harder springs/thicker oil for front shocks and softer springs/lighter oil for the rear? i have a bottle of 40wt and 60wt oil and the tamiya on road tuned hard spring set, including the white 'extra stiff' spring. I've noticed many people have set up their cars with the blue springs at the rear, and the whites up front, does this help the weight transfer through corners? Any help appreciated, Chris.[]

Bodyshells help in straight line speed as well as grip, turning, and general handling. Bodies made by Protoform for example, which are designed for racing, create quite a lot of downforce on your car, helping it stick to the track []

my ESC cost £30 and is at the cheaper end of a range of ESC's. if you're looking for a good one such as a LRP then you can spend £60+, i dont know much about them tho. My motor cost me £30. ESC - "Smooth trottle response, longer run time, makes the car more raidable." http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/topic.asp?...peed,controller There's quite a few topics on esc's if you do a search. Hi, Im using an mtroniks eco20 which works fine for my motor, no problems yet (fingers crossed) lol if you are going to upgrade your motor then i would recommend an ESC, or is it compulsory with a hotter motor so you don't blow something up?! Chris []

Thanks guys for the info. I ordered a set of standard ones as for a set of aluminium they were £8.50 [:0] can't see how aluminium would make much difference anyway. Going to use them to mount my dampers to keep them held on better than the screws.

Yeah i measured the ride height with slicks on, I don't use the stock rally tires that came with the kit. Also my car's a TT01 [] Shocks are expected later this week so i will test them when i get them with the new ride-height. Chris
-
Just measured the rideheight of my car - without battery in car it is 14mm [:0] and with battery it is 10mm! with my new dampers i should be able to cut the ride height by half, to 5mm. This is the height the majority of racers use at my local race club. Chris

Hi thats happened to me before, but it hasn't got stuck completly one way,[8)][?] just knocks the steering off center slightly, and so i have to adjust trim on my radio gear. Have you perhaps got another servo you could try? Chris

hi loopus - forgot to mention i have an upgraded motor, and so more speed = more speed entering/turning corner which has caused me to roll occasionally. [] Hopefully my new supsension/spring setup should help. Chris

Are these a replacement part to mount the suspension on, instead of using screws? Thinking of getting some for my car. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGJ31&P=7 Thanks, Chris

-
Hi i'm not sure what anti-roll bars are, or where they go [8)] Please help, Chris

hehehee [] wel e said it has a plastic prop shaft.... why not put an aluminium one in lol n thn cant complain about it -
Thanks guys, I have oredered some super low friction shocks and will propably buy the tuned spring set so i can adjust the springs on all of my dampers.m I don't think the TT01 has anti-roll bars as a hop up, hopefully they'll release some sometime. Chris

At my local racing club on carpet my TT01 has a tendancy to roll at a certain tight corner. Someone said its down to 'too much grip'0 which isn't helping the car turn. I now use some tq tyre additive which has helped and have ordered some trf shocks to improve handling(surrently only have the basic plastic dampers which came with the kit) and I will then be able to adjust the ride height. Is there anything else I could try to help stop the rolling, or should the new dampers help smooth things out? Cheers, Chris.

TT01 - u can stick an aluminium prop shaft in -
Hi, I have a Wild Dagger and it goes pretty well, but not if you want if for jumping. Id say go for something else if thats what you specifically want your truck for.

Hi make sure you have your transmitter on, and set your trim to the middle (the servo will probably then move out of its normal position) but then turn all power off, re-position the servo bit (excuse the poor language!) onto the servo so that it is in your required position for 'normal' and then turn it all back on and it should be set up right. Chris -
Hi, what is the steering set for the TT01 and how does it benefit the ride. Is it soemthing to do with the steering arms? Thanks, Chris
-
Yeah mine handles really well at my local club, i'm doing pretty well there with it. Alot of people are like 'oh is that a tamiya' as if they're saying its total rubbish, but mine handles just as well and can go as fast as some of the other makes that they have there. After all speed isn't everything. I guess I'll just have to show em on the tarmac... (or carpet!)[]

I have some capactors on one of my old stock can motors which I am going to take off and put onto my new one. Should help a bit [] Will get on with that when get home from school... hehe
