  1. I used schumacher parts because i had them, and because they are small. Not much room to play with.
  2. Just finishing up a stadium thunder, love the front to rear braces! What bottom arms are those? Coincidently i put schumacher shocks on mine too! I did plan on running the battery lengthways too, but i put bellcrank steering in it so the relocated servo took up the space. Any other mods on yours?
  3. Looks great! Im currently masking mine up, but its very much not box art! Wondering if i should have now, they do look ace!
  4. Alloy suspension arms? Glitzy but pointless 😂
  5. Perfect, thanks ive put different shocks on mine so wanted to check.
  6. Looks good! Im building a modded stadium thunder right now too. Can you tell me the eye to eye length of the front shocks both extended and compresed?
  7. Schumacher vee 2 rears and schumacher stagger rib fronts.
  8. Today i finished a few small jobs and narrowed the front tyres on my stadium thunder project. Just steering turnbuckles esc and receiver to sort now, and the ambitious planned paint job.
  9. If its the same as the PS spray cans then the tamiya lacquer thinner works.
  10. Is pc waterbase then? I have never used any bit assumed it was solvent based like ps spray cans.
  11. One on the right looks like a double wind. Edit, none of the motors you list are double wind. So i guess its single wind but wound strange. So my guess is the one on the right is technituned. The other two, one is 21t one is 23t. Which one looks like it might have more turns? To me the middle one looks like less turns bit fatter wire so should be the technigold. Thats just my guessing though.
  12. I never drove it with the battery side to side so i dont know. As for those other batteries, id ignore those completely. They are the wrong voltage, have a low mah rating and look awkwardly shaped.
  13. I run my battery lengthways too. I used the original battery tray but double sided taped it to the chassis rather than drilling new holes. Its been track driven and crashed a bit and it's not come loose.
  14. I have a grasshopper, super astute, terra scorcher, vanquish and an egress. Easiest to get round a track fast, in order from best to worst Vanquish Terra scorcher Super astute Egress Grasshopper The 4wd's have had tyres swapped between them so ive tried them all on the same tyres. Egress obviously needs more set up! However, they are all eclipsed by my procat which has a habit of just doing exactly what you want it to whenever you tell it to do it. But its not tamiya, so lets just forget it exists 😂 Edit to say, apart from the grasshopper and the rears on the super astute, they all have schumacher tyres though. Ive sort of given up on tamiya tyres.
  15. The roads near me dont seem any quieter than normal really!
  16. I dont know how the drilling went, but (as im sure you know), and slight nick in an edge can be a starter for a crack. All lexan edges need to be super smooth with no nicks or sharp internal corners. Did you drill, or ream the holes? As i say, im sure you know this, no one is building these nib bodies without a fair bit of experience behind them! Just trying to figure some kind of reason why it may have happened. I dont know these cars though, is it a common failure point on old used cars?
  17. 🙁 Did it feel in any way brittle to start with?
  18. Still idly contemplating how i want this stadium thunder to be. Im hoping to build something that is fairly reasonable on track. I know about swapping the steering knuckles side to side to eliminate bump steer, but ive also read references to people converting to bell crank steering. Has anyone on here done this? Been rooting through spares and have enough bits to attempt converting to schumacher procat steering. Might have some associated bits and probably have some tamiya bits too. The schumacher set up is compact though. Secondly, rear toe. Am i right in thinking it has none? Whats peoples thoughts on of its worth trying to add some? Has anyone tried? Seems like it would be reasonably easy to work a different rear upright into it, or maybe other more extreme options like different inner pivots. Even worthwhile thinking about this? I feel its a little unfair of me to judge the car before ive even built it, let alone driven it, but ive had a taste of rc10s and procats so improving handling interests me more these days. I know its no race truck, but i enjoy improving stuff cant mock anything up yet as ive swapped my red A and B parts for black so am waiting for them to arrive. thanks.
  19. Thanks. I guess im a little wary as i cant run 17t in my terra scorcher due to pinion limitations.
  20. What are the options here? Only 2 pinion sizes as stock and the kit uses the smaller one for a silver can! Doesnt give you many options. Plenty of fast blitzers out there though. It will probably stay brushed as i have loads. It will probably get something around 17t, maybe my dynatech 01r. But surely with the stock gearing any modifieds will run hot! Or, is it under geared as stock? Any adjustable options already available? Or, shall i continue thinking about how to cut the gearbox up and make the motor mount adjustable. Thanks.
  21. Before i start my stadium thunder build, would anyone want to trade my red A and B parts for black A and B parts? Im in chesterfield, UK.
  22. Surely it must have already been cracked, or extremely brittle! Shame
  23. Ill give you a shout once they are surplus. Ive got quite a few of them kicking around now, i swap them out whenever possible although not much i own uses them.
  24. I hate screw pins! Looks like id better order some 3mm stainless rod then.
  25. Ok, thats good to know. Ill check it out when i get it.
