3 tamiya kits every collection should have.
whahooo replied to Super ally's topic in General discussions
I didn't knew that. I thought all crawlers are good climbers I don't own a cc Tamiya. I just own a wpl Toys Toy with metal tire inserts and that littke thing can climb better than i thougt. If the Ground is rough enought i think 100% steep Hills are possible. But it is just for playing around, i'm not really into crawling.... -
I've got the Motors today. They are 370 sized ones....... I've should have the description carefullyier.

A Hornet because everyone should have one. A Top Force because it could Race. A cc Crawler because you can detail it as much as you want and it can climb. -
Thanks for your opinion. Is there any Cheap Oil like Tamiya 200 (the red one) from another manufactuer? Years ago i purchases a "soft" oil that was a lot slower than Tamiya Yellow, so i can't trust the Peopke at Conrad anymore.... I think the employee sold me 1/8 "soft" oil... I need that for my leaky Clodshocks (i will install orange O-rings) and my Lunchbox.

So i inatalled a 3D Print Brace and CVA dampers with a Metal piston wirhout the holes. If i had Plastic pistons i would have installed the 3 Hole one.... I think the Damper is damping to much resulting in a very slow Action. The Lunchbox lands good from heights of about 1 Meter, but it doesn't take the roughnes of the Ground very good. How much damping action should the rear Danpers have in your Opinion? I tend to put in the softest oil.

So there is no need of discharging them? I can charge them even if they are 2/3 full?? If that is true, i will only drive my cars until they are getting slow and then i will charge them.
-
I always use the Dischargemode of my LRP Quadra Charger. I thought you should discharge them as far as possible.......

Hello, i have a awanfi 3600 mah nimh battery that drives my Lunchbox only about 5 Minutes. I discharged an charged the Battery a view Times. It is fully charged after 45 minutes with 3 Amps.... I have a TBLE-02S and a Sporttuned Motor ibstalled. I thought maybe it is a Brusheless or Liposetting or something with low voltage cut of. Vut Tamiya do not support Lipos. And if it would be in Brushless Mode it wouldnt drive at all....

So, i started a Interior. I only have Zipties and Cardboard. I also have an Entry for the Helloween Competition. Sadly all of that doesn't look very detailed or good and i do not own a Camera that can shoot decent Photos. I tried to paint it gray to have sone moe contrast. -
Today i installed new Firestone Tiredecals. Theese are made in Slovakia and can be found under "Linchbox tire decals". And here you se a comparision of the Old and the new ones: He made my Clod ones too, i will post the result when i have them.

So yesterday evening and today in the Morning i did sonething: .) Filled Oilshocks (sadly the Pistons are that fixed Metal Pistons and not the Plastic ones wirh the Holes, i think they are a bit to slow. Maybe i need thinner Oil....) .) Installed Ballbearings .) Installed the Shocks .) Painted the indicators, Doorhandles, windowrubbers, etc. with my daughters acrylic Markers. (They are very runny and do not cover the Plastic very good....) .) Installed a black Sport Tuned Motor .) Installed a 3D printed Brace .) Managed the Cables .) Made a Shocktower reinforcementrod I'm thinking about putting a PEZ Driverfigure in or maybe 2 or maybe none.... Also i maybe put on some Tiredecals, now i have a good source of Stickers from Slovakia. One thing i want to do is to put LEDs in, the previous Owner drilled Holed in the Back.... Sadly the previour Sowner did not put on the Stickers very carefully, neither did he used a Primer before Painting.... Finished Work: -

Now i remembered what question i wanted to ask: What color should the dampers are? I wanted to paint them in chrome, but now i installed plain black ones.... Sadly i didn't onstalled any spacer in the front. So the dampers are a little bit to long... -
So you are that guy with the 2 Stars tattooed

Hello, i was in search of an geral discussion Thread for the Tamiya Lunchbox. I`ve found that "ultimate LB Guide Thread" but it was old and the Links are not up to date. So i start a new One. Here is the Link to the Suspension Discussion: I have a few Questions: Does it make sense to use Foaminserts so the wheels get a little bit heavier to give some more Stability?? (Maybe just in the Back) Are there Lightbucket Inserts to install a full lightset with indicators etc.? Where can i get a cheap simple LED Kit (2x white 2x Red) for the Truck? Does anyonde have made an LB Interior before? What are the Main Things to do with a Lunchbox for the most fun result in your opinion? (the Lunchbox is one of the most fun Cars that i have owned, i`ve runned it with CVA Shocks, Ballberings and a Sport tuned Motor)

Yeah, that was my thought too ^^ It is just a little Cardboard that i´ve cuttet out so see gat an aprox idea how a Plastic Cabin should be fitted. And it looks already better. Now i just don`t know what to put inside... I don`t know how a Doge looks inside AND i don`t know if i should put anything in it that look like a real Car or if i should put in like something that looks like a Monstertruck Interior... But i tend to put in just 2 plain Plastic cards or a Seatbench and a Steeringwheel (because it has a toyish/comical look to it). If i would building a Rolling Thunder i would take the Monstertruckroute for shure. Amazing!!!

Hello, does anyone has a good source for cheap and SIMPLE LED Kits? I want to install some LED Kits into my RC Cars. For a Grasshopper, Hornet, Wild One etc. i just need 2 White and 2 Red lights without any functions. Just a Front- and a Backlight with some round and square Lightbuckets. I know that i ordered 5 Sets of them for about 22 Euros each some years ago. 2 Sets i have installed myself and the other were gifts for friends, sadly one of the Kits was stolen with my old Lunchbox and the otherone broke in my Wild One. Now i want to get some new ones, but i just find Sets between 9 and 12 Dollars without shipping. for 10 - 15 Dollars, i get whole Sets with functions (1 habe 2 of them in my Sparebox..) but i don?t need the functions in my more simple Cars.... For 18 Dollars, i would get a Receiver with Gyro AND Lightfunctions from banggood.... So does anyone has a good source for simple cheap Lightsets?

Hello, i have the Plan to put as much interior in my RC Cars as possible. What are your Techniques to make Seats, Seeringwheels and other stuff inside a Car. I only have Interior in my Rallycars (the official Tamiya ones), but i would love to have them in all of my cars. The next Car that shoud get some "Life" is my Lunchbox. Im not shure if i shoud just put some Plasticcards inside (so you can`t see the Cables, receiver etc.) or if i should put a Cabin inside..... Here you have a Grasshopper/Hornet Interior: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3803664 Show me your stuff for inspiration. EDIT: Here i`ve cut out some Cardboard to block the sight into the inner: Maybe i could use some of the WPL Parts, i don`t know if they would fit sizewise.

That seems like a perfect Spot for the Grasshopper. I like to drive mine on a flad Road with a 1cm layer of Sand. thats the mos perfect surface for my Hopper. On my Gardentrack (very bumpy grass) it doesn`t make any fun because it is to "hoppy", but on a flat Sandy Ground i love the Grasshopper and its characteristics.

Aeroberts Project Thread - Currently a Top Force chassis

Nice one. I have the same Tires i think. I would put in a new Damperbridge, so you can put long dampers in. I love the Bodychoice! -
Thanks a lot, i've ordered 3 pcs. 16 Euros is an ok price and i do not pay the shipping. Thanks
