I started very latly with my Hobby. I`ve got an thrashed Figher Buggy from my Cousain that i thrased down. So i had a wish for christmas and i got an "Blazing Star" as a presant. I`ve driven that Thing a lot and i`ve purchased an old Tamiya Mini with an Sportstuned Motor and had driven that litttle Thing a lot, then Puberty has hitten and that 3 Cars lay in the Attic for Years.... Eventually the Time came that i got new Interrest in RCs and i`ve purchased a "Dual Hunter" witch has a terribele Sell, so i mounted the Shell with an old Shell of an Stadium Raider. I've run that little Ting maybe 2 or 3 Times till i had to Move.... The Time i had to move in my 23m² Flat there was no room for any RCs, and i wanted to get serious in Life and find "my Girl" so i decided to get rid of my Cars and the Spares.... What did i do? i threw them little thingys in the Trash!! I reget that a lot, because now i have my wife and she`s really OK with that amount of 'Toys that i have. And now i have more than enough RC Cars to Play with. (20 finished Models and a bunch of "Projects" to get my Youth back")

Yeah thats right, it is not a good runner. (@pintopower explains that on his Youtube Channel.) But fudge it, the Car looks nice For me it`s a counterpart to the Toyota Turbo wheelie only more off road looking and less off Road capable.

@Juggular The Pajero is one of the Models that i will never finish.... .....it frustrates me. With the Hornet rear End the Wheelbase was too long, so is purchased the Grasshopper Axlemount (non articulating) and some super Mini Shocks. The Super Mini Shocks are too long (i have them installed with the small metal Brace like you would in a Lunchbox). Now i see you fitted the upsidedown and some longer shocks fit. How did you fit them? With a small nut as a stopper and the shaft sticking out of the top of the Chassis?

Thanks for your Opinion! The Back is not leveled out yet, because i haven`t drilled any holes for the Bodyposts. When i drilled the holes, i can adjust the rear Bodylevel by any hight. Only the front Hight is limited by the front Posts. (it`s the the lowest Position possible)
-
Today i installed the Lights and i`m very pleased with the result. I`ve used hotglue (1 Drop) to install the LEDs. I`m still thinking about the ridehight.... Should i get other Bodyposts?
-
So, the Body has arrived. I`ve purchased a Carson Truck Lightunit. And i have a Tamiya Rally Cockpit Set. Now i have to mount the Body to the Chassis. What Mounts should i use? Should i use Magnets? How high should i mont the Body? With the Standard Bodymounts the Body sits very high of the Ground, but the front Bodyposts are very sturdy if you compare it to the single bodymount System of the back Bodyposts. Also if i would use Magnets only can use them in the front, because the Lancia has that sloped Back of the Lancia. Here are Pictures of the Body that sits loose on the Bodyposts (I`ve not drilled any Holes yet) : fully Extended without any Load besides the Battery fully compressed: Here you can see the Mount for the front Bodypüosts.

This Week a Lancia Delta Integrale Body from Killerbody should arrive at my door. I want to unstall a Lightunit and purchased a Carson Drift Lightunit because this were the only ones in the shop besides the Truck Lightunits. Now i've realized that the Driftunit has only 2 indicators. The "Race" Lightunits would have 4 indicators.... Also the LEDs of the Driftset aren't all the same Size.... What Lightunitset are the right set for a Killerbody Lancia?

Holy cow, it seems that i`m really stupid Now i`ve installed the Steeringrods the right way, like on your Foto, and the Suspension works. Thanks Mate! The back Suspension "Hops" up and down a few times when i drop the Chassis. Should i try thicker Oil in the shocks or the Piston with lesser Holes? Normally i always use the Piston with 3 holes....

I kidnap this thread for my Mysteryobject. What is that? Infos in the Motor ae ASSOCIATED ELECTRONICS.INC ES Reedy M22 Yokomo Japan

The Chassis is envolving! I cleaned the car (it`s already dirty again), installed Oilshocks, an Sport Tuned Motor (19t Pinion) and Ballbearings. Now there are sveral "Problems" the front Suspension doesnt work really well because the Steeringrods stop the Car from bottoming out. Also the front Suspension is really stiff because the Tension from the steeringrods. And under "Zero Load" when the Suspension is fully streched out the front Wheels show a LOT of toe in. The back Suspension needs some different Oil or Pistonplate i think because the car hops 3 times when i drop the car from about 15cm.

So, the Chassis is now open. The Gears look mint, there is not a tiny bit of Dust inside. But there also is no grease inside. I`ve installed the Ballbearings and i wonder if i should grease the Gears or if i should them greaseless.... Any Inputs?

Welcome Tamico! You are my #1 Onlineshop when i need New Kits or Parts.
-
I've read that the Gearbox gets full of dirt if you do not seal it with Silicone or something similar..... Do You really have to seal a TL01 Gearbox? I've never sealed any Gearbox of my Models and none of them gets Sand, Dust or Stones in them....
-
Ok, i will do that. Also i was thinking of a 2nd Rallycar..... I have 2 Version of each of my Models (Blackfot and Monsterbeetle, ect.) and i know that i have an old Blazing Star laying around, maybe that could make a good (or better) 2nd Rallycar besides the TL01.

Sport Tuned Motors In A Clod
whahooo replied to kaiser's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Ok, thanks! PS: I don`t use LiPo Batteries and i am not familliar with mp/h.... In my Country wie use km/h and i doon`t know how fast my Clod is in this Moment. But i wached your Youtube Videos with the Clod and Bullhead with the 20 Turn Mootor and the LiPo. I don`t know if ist a huge gain in Speed in comparision with the Silvercans. Iwould be interrested what a 3s LiPo could do to my Models, but all of my Models are in a Cabin in the Woods, there is absoluetly no Fireresistance to the how nor the Area round the House. In the House it gets REALLY freezy in the Wintertimes, ist so cold that Water freezes after 2 Days without heting from the oven, and we only heat (with Wood) when we are at home on Weekends or Holidays. Thats the Reason i do not use LiPos yet. PPS: Maybe i should get a Lexanshell for running -
Sport Tuned Motors In A Clod
whahooo replied to kaiser's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Do you use the standard Tamiya Doublemotor ESC? How much of a Difference do the Motors make? Are they like a Sport Tuned Tamiya one? I do not want to overpower the Clod because it is a Chromeclod and i do not want to scratch the Body. With the Silvercans the Truck flips over from time to time when i hit the Brake.... -
I already have Oilshocks at home, the Tamiya CVA Mini Shocks. Is there any Reason not to use the mini CVA Plasticshocks?

What R/C model do you wish Tamiya made? (Dream Build)

So, i´ve purchased some stuff: Killerbody - Lexan Shell of a Lancia Delta Integrale Tamiya - Rally Cockpit Set Tamiya - Lancia Delta Integrale Rims Tamiya - Rally Block Tyres I Hope the Killerboy Shell and the Tamiya Cockpit will fit together.... How do i manage to get These togehter? Should i glue the Cockpit to the Shell or should i Mount the Cockpit on the Chassis and fit the Shell on Top of that? Is the TL-01 with a Sporttuned Motor the right Chassis? I´ve spent so much Money that i could almost buy a new one TT-01 Lancia Delta Integrale insteed.... But the Killerbody Shell lock much mr e nicer than the Tamiya one inni`t? Ad i`ve do not have seen one in real live but the Killerbody have all Lights in the right place so i could fit a "Carson Light Unit" to that Body. Soary fo my bad English..... I do not speak Englih but i watch Englisg, American, Canadian and Australian Movies/Films.... so i can understand your Languages but i can`t speak r Write them in propper words/meanings.... I talk like Arnold Swarzenegger in "Hercules in NY" ....

So, i purchased a Lancia Delta Integrale Body.... The Feelin in myself tellls me that i Need accurate Lancia Rims and some Fitting 26mm tyres... So in the next days i will visit Tamico.de to get some of theese Fitting Parts.

Thanks for the Info. Maybe i should stay at the Rallycar Idea.

So, my wife and I decided, the Projecht is not a Lancia Delta, it`s not a Peugeot 205, it`s not a Tyota Ceillia, it`s not a Opel Ascona, it`s not a Fiat Abarth..... ...It should be a Back to the Future DeLorean. Is there any DeLorean Body out ther that could fit a TL01??
-
Hmmmm..... I have Buggys and i have Monstertrucks... i`m only interrested in Off Road Cars, so a Rallycar or a "Scaler/Crawler" would be nice.... Maybe i try to fit a Lancia Rally Body on it.... Thanks for all the Inputs and Photos! I´m happy to read that the Chassis is that variable. I don`t want to use other Arms or chop the Chassis, i want o leave it the Way it is, only adding Ballbearings and the Oildampers (laying around) and the ESC (laying around), also i`ve found some old Rally Block Tyres.

Hello, i have an old Stadium Rider without a Bodyshell. Now i was thinking about what i should do with that Car. I have Oilshock in the right lengh, i have a bunch of Tamiya ESC´s so i will upgrade the Shocks an the MSC for an ESC. I will buy some Bearings, because i am shure that the Car d not have Ball Bearings. What Bodyshell should i Buy? What Bodyshells could fit? Does a Pickup Shell like the Blackfoot fit?
-
I use normal NiMh Batteries. I´ve not checked the bearings, maybe one of them is broken. Thaks for the Tip, i wouldn`t ever thought that a bearing could be damaged...
