How do you put in the 8.4v Battery? I have a Wild Dagger with the Maxx Shocks, a QuicRun WP860 Dual Motor Speedcontroller and the Standard Silvercans. I`m almot happy, but i would love to get a Little more Speed. I have 2 Super Stock BZ Motors With 0 Timing, but at the Time i`ve tested the System, something went wrong. The Truck was very slow (4km/h or so), so i think the QuicRun WP860 isn`t the right Speedcontroller for those Super Stock Motors. Maybe i should try the TEU-103BK wich i`m running in my Clod. (or maybe i should put the Motors in my Clod...) Anyways, i like the Tyres shown in that Pictures a lot, so i will get them if they are available. (In the linked shop only backordering was possible)

Clod steering mods

Thanks for your answer. i`ll try lighter oil in my Traxxas Shocks,. Now i use the Traxxas Shocks with the original Clodbuster Springs (4 shochs, 1 on each Side) But the Suspension is a Little bit on the stiff side. Maybe i should use a lighter Shockoil..... EDIT: I would love to have a Suspension like this: Maybe I`ll find a way to make my Shocks a Little bit longer with some better Fitting (longer) enpieces of the Shocks on the Ending that connects to the Axle... -

Thanks man! Ididn`t know these Treads exisit. Every Gamingconsole has it`s Optimum Settings, E.G. the Playstation: Playstation 1: - > RGB-Cable -> CRT Television or CRT Beamer (Professional Video Monitors and Brodcasting Video Monitors prefered E.G. Sony PVM or Sony BVM) Playstation 2 - > RGB-Cable -> CRT Television or CRT Beamer (Professional Video Monitors and Brodcasting Video Monitors prefered E.G. Sony PVM or Sony BVM) or Playstation 2 -> Componentcable -> CRT Television (...) or Flatscreen (Plasma, LED, ... ) Playstation 3 -> HDMI -> Flatscreen 1080p Playstation 4 -> HDMI-> Flatscreen 4k Here is a small guide for the popular Gaming Consoles. There is a huge difference between the Monitor and Cable you using. Composite Cables or Antenna Cables are the worst, it`s like running an RC without tyres in big Grass with a 700mA NiCd Battery -> it`s no Fun... The best Option for Retrogaming is in fact a Raspberry Pi, like WillyChang said. But you have to Play with the Options a lot, you have at least to Play with the Setting half an Hour or so to get a decent Picture. on a original Setup ist Plug and Play. Here is a Picture of my current Closet Setup:

I love the Micro Machine Games. The Mega Drive (Europe,Japan) & Genesis (America) Version came with an Built in "Multitap" so you can Play the Game with 4 Player simataniously without you have to have get any additional Hardware. I was thinking if i should Edit the first Post and list all mentioned Games..... Maybe i do that if i find some Sparetime under my Couch.

Hello, iv`e wondered if you guys know any Videogames with RC-Cars. My favorite RC-Games are: RC Pro AM on NES: Rc Pro AM 2 on trhe NES: Buggy Run on the Mastersystem: 3D Ultra Radio Control Racers on PC: Re-Volt on varoius Systems: Iwould like to Play a Game that focuses on the RC Part, so i would like to Play a Game like Revolt without Weapuns and realistic physics. What RC-Games do you know?

Many Thanks! i will try the Tamiya - 9805573 screws.

I have a Quesion aboiut Screws. The Screws that are marked in the Picture are getting loose all the Time because they uncrew during the up/down Travel of the Arms. The Screws that are used at the Moment are These Kind of screws: I would need to use similar screws with a longer unthreaded part that Slips through the Plastic and the alloy Shocktower. What Screws would you recomend for using? I don`t find any usable Infos. PS: Sorry about my terrifying bad english, i really didn`write anything in english since about a Long Long Time ago.

What screws are used on the lowes Position of the Shocktower? I also have a Alloy Shocktower and the Screws i Use do uscrew themselfes because of the up & down Motion of the "arms"....

I use a cheap Oilshock that was in my Box of spareparts . I think the 3rd Shock Solution is a good One. The Oilshock cuts the "slap" complete and because of the Oilshock there is a bit of interia. Also i leave the 2 Little Springs on each end of the axle housing that came with the Lunchbox Kit.

Hello, i have a lot of Clodbuster related Questions and do not want to open a lot of Threads that all belong to the same Model. So i thougt, that i could put all my questions in this thread. Could a Moderator put this thread into the right Section (Build- or 4x4 Montertruck section) ? That would be very nice. I have the Problem that the "Suspension" is very stiff. I use Traxxas E-Maxx Shocks with the White Springs and i thin wt 30 Oil or Tamiya yellow soft oil in it. I Would like to put new softer Springs on the Shocks, but i do not find any Information in the Internet what Color is what Stiffnes. So what Springs would fit (i also use the same Shocks on my Wild Dagger, there i have the same Problem of Shocks that are to hard) Is there a Oil recomendation? I think a lot of People use the same Shocks on that Model. PS: Maybe i found a gut who can machine me the recomended Servomount :D.

Hello,, back to my Problem with my Springs ^^ I have a Set of traxxas E-Maxx Shocks (8 pcs.) and splitted them to use 4 Shocks each on my Wild Dagger and my Clodbuster. The Springs are way to hard for each wehicle. So i`m looking for softer Springs than the Traxxas white ones. Is there a Chart for Traxxas Springs that says which Color is wich Stiffnes?

Clodbuster motors
whahooo replied to sparkysx's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Ok, i did not knew that all ESCs are capable of running LiPo Packs. So i have to buy a Charger, 10 Lipo Packs, LiPo Low Voltage Alarms and a firesave Chargingbox (All My Cars are stored in a wooden Cabin in the Woods) in the winter there are -5 Degrees Celsius (if i heat the Oven there is 25 degrees in a few Hours) an in the Summer there are 38 Degrees Celsius Maximum. Iḿ also a little bit afraid of using LiPos, because of the Risk of Fire and i dont know if there are LiPos in the classic Stick Style. -

Thanks! I was afraid of getting that Answer ^^. The Quickrun ESC is able to handle Lipos, so that would be a Option. Yes... A good Option, Yes.... ...ok, the best Option. But if i really honest, i don`t want do go the Lipo way. Becaus if i switch to LiPo, I would change it in all my Cars and the Chargers are a little bit to expensive for a Hobby in a young Familylife. I think 500 Bucks are easily a Start for the charger and a few Batterys and if i really would choose the LiPo Way, i would have to change all my other ESCs also... So Thanks for the suggestion, but im looking for "better" Motors, if the Sporttuned Motors would exist in the opposite Timing, that would be the best Solution for me, i think. -

Hello i was using the Searchengine and fount tis Topic. I have the standard Tamiya TEU-106 twin motor ESC and a Hobbywing Quickrun 860 ESC Dual Motor Brushed Waterproof ESC. I want to Use a single 7.2v Batterypack. And i use the stock Silvercans..... So what is my issue? I want to use one of the ESCs (i like the Tymiya one) with 2 hotter Motors for more Tourque and Speed (through Torque). I really like the Tamiya Sporttuned Motors, but they are timed..... I also have 2 Super Stock BZ Motors, but they are to hot for the ESC. So what Mortor are there available for using them with one of these ESCs? Since i Using the Stock Suspension with Oilshocks, 550 Motors are not an Option. -
Clod steering mods
whahooo replied to svenb's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Ok thanks! That look like the best solution i've seen to solve the Problem. I already have 4 Traxxas Oilshocks (i think, i`ve already drilled Holes in the pistonplate) , they seem fit perfect for speedy driving, because they are really stiff, so the car do not flip over in corners, but if i drive slowly over bumps the suspension levels the Car perfectly. EDIT: The Only Problem is, i don`t have any metalworking Tool or the Skill to produce these Parts -

Hello, i`ve just installed 2 CPE anti rotation brackets and the Clodbuster Aluminum Chassis Brace. The CPE Site says that "The Clodbuster Aluminum Chassis Brace reuses all stock mounting hardware". Either that is a lie or I`m to stupid for that Modification. there were 4 brass Screws with the Ballheads wich hold the lower Links of the suspensionsystem and exactly that brass Screws where to short to reach through the Aluminum Chassis Brace, the Plastic and grip into the Aluminium Mountingplate located under the Servo.... So now to my Question: I want more Suspensiontravel The suspension is limited by the standard Steeringsystem wich is now in use. I don`t want to do a lot of Modifications and keep it as Stock as possible. If i change it to a dual servo system, i cant use the Standard Bumper anymore. Is there a Modification that uses the standard steering System but allows more Suspensiontravel? -
Hello, i`m back and i want to finish my Pajero Project. I see that you use Hornetshocks in the Back. What frontshocks do you use?
-
Wow, that build is amazing!!

Thanks a lot! I assume it`s not a Tamiya C.P.R. unit, so i won`t get it, although ist very cheap (€ 13,-). Anyways, i read that the Tamiya C.P.R. units are not the best ESCs to get because they handle a little bit "odd or bad". (In the past i thought that the C.P.R. units are a a superb ESC+receiver Combo and they can handle Motors like the Technigold)
-
Do anyone Know that C.P.R.? https://cache.willhaben.at/mmo/9/141/874/409_1437195677.jpg The description says that is a 40 mHz reciever. Is it a Tamiya? Is it a TamTech?

Dang!

Well i also heard, real men don't play with toys... Ps: I love instructions printed on paper, I hate it wehn you only have the instructions online as a download, and yeah that's pretty common these days....
-
Hah, instructions, i wish they would come with my used stuff . Besides, i heared real men don`t need instructions anyways....

Since i don`t quie understand what BEC mean/does (i know it means Battery eliminating circuit or something an regulate the volts to 6v or something...) and i got an offer for 4 pcs. "Tamiya Teu-101 BK" units for € 35,- i want to get them. I only have one 2,4 gHz transmitter + reciever, all my other recievers are in the Mhz range, mot of them are 27 mHz AM and FM recievers (and most of them have BEC printed on them). Can i use the Tamiya TEU-101 BK ESC with the old 27 Mhz recievers without any problems? EDIT: Sorry, i just read that: So now i think it`s clear to me, i can use almost every reciever and since i do not use 2,4 gHz radios, it should be no problem.
