Hello I have an old STAC-4 transmitter working perfectly but some component on the receiver got burnt and it's not working anymore. Is there any compatible receiver that I can buy? Thank you

Thank you for your answe. I have searched on thingiverse and other webs but haven't find a lot about sand scorcher, not only the wheels but all the parts. I am learning CAD but I would like a model so I can start from that and make sure it works. Thank you

Is the old original Sand Scorcher from 1978. You mean the RS540 Torque tuned or sport tuned wont fit on my gearbox?

Hello I am bringing back my Scorcher after some years off, because my motor broke and I left It on the shelf. Now I want to buy a new one and I'm completely lost. I want more durability and not need a lot of speed. I have a NOVAK CYCLONE TC ESC Can you please recomend me a nice motor for my casual runs? I don't know anything about how many "turns" are better and how much does my ESC can handle. Thank you very much and sorry if I made some mistakes as I'm Spanish and my English is a little bit "rusty"

Motor and battery for Sand Scorcher
julastray replied to julastray's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I promise it doesnt fit... Anyway maybe I can try a different distribution son everything would fit inside, because there is so much empty space in the box... I think I found a way if I placer the receiver at the back of the case were the ON/OFF switcher should be. When I receive the battery I wil try, I hope it fit- 7 replies

Motor and battery for Sand Scorcher
julastray replied to julastray's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Thank you for the answer! That was exactly the battery I had, but I was thinking about buying something smaller and try to fit everything inside the radio box because now I have to keep the receiver out of the box, maybe the only solution is to buy a new receiver... About the motor, the one I had was a new Mabuchi RS-540 Torque tuned which I bought maybe two years ago and I had to made a little modificatio but at the end it fitted so I would like something like that but maybe cheaper because I dont use it a lot- 7 replies

Hello Some time ago, I posted here the restoration of my vintage Sand Scorcher The point is that the battery is dead and the motor broke some time ago, so I need to buy replacement Can you recomend me some options? The battery was a Turnigy 4200mah LIPO hard case and I would like something similar but I would prefer a smaller one, even if it has less capacity. About the motor, I had a RS-540 Torque Tuned if I am not wrong, I would like something similar, better if its cheaper. I would appreciate any help, I am a bit lost now. Thank you and sorry if I made some mistakes, English is not mi mother language

Hello I am selling my vintage RC Ligier Js9 Matra. The car needs some restoration and it's good as a project to work in. The body is in good condition, and I have one more "training" body shell. I have a printed copy of the original instruction manual, It also has the original box in very good condition. I don't have the electronic parts. The price is 300€ (more or less 375$). It is in Spain but I could send it. Thank you

Hello I keep on upgrading my sand scorcher, you can see here (there are so many news than I can't post because I'm living out of home for some months but in two weeks I'll be back) Now I'm thinking about get some custom alloy rims, I dont know if I'll get the whole rim or only the cover (I think that probably only cover because it will be cheaper and easier) and I want to ask if somebody has planes or 3D models or something so I can take it to the place I'm going to book them. Thanks in advance

Sand Scorcher rescue and restoration
julastray replied to julastray's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Last step: pinting rims: 20 Now I'm waiting for a rere body, to keep the original one safe, and a new motor because the old one burnt out. When I'll receive them, paint the body (probably metallic green) and install the motor, I will post more photos and maybe a video.- 32 replies
