  2. Finally finished the shell and cockpit for the 959 tribute build, came up pretty good.
  3. Picked up a new Shell for the Old girl and gave it a quick strip down and clean up, I was going to clean the bulkhead caps with WD 40 but I am starting to like the older look
  4. got around to putting the decals on my Tamiya Legends Porsche 911 tribute ( cough Copy ) turned out really nice, I am also going to try and do a replica 959 on a TA05 M-Four kit. hopefully that works out as its almost impossible to get a 959 for a reasonable price and shape
  5. adding to my last post, picked up a Kamtec body and some MCI decals and it looks like it will be a pretty good fit, will need thicker hex adapters to fill the arches out properly. now to study problemchilds paint job's in the build section Tamiya M Four 959.HEIC
  6. I have had this TA05 MFour sitting in the shed for a couple of years, I was thinking of putting a Kamtec 959 shell and MCI decals on it, has anyone had any experience if this will fit, will need to change the wheels up to suit as well.
  7. What are the chances of another run of the Dyna Storm, I missed it both times in the past, these days the prices have been going crazy for reasonable condition kits
  8. Are you buying it from RC Mart lol. depends what you want to use it for, I would go for the TRF all day long.
  9. the one bit of information that I struggle to find is what amperage should we discharge them at to go into storage mode, set at the lowest rating a 5000mah battery can take 18 hours to discharge to storage( from full charge ) I am using an Ultra Power UP6+ and an ISDT Q6 pro with an independent power supply. any advise appreciated.
  10. did you use anything special to screw fix the wing, I had another go at it last night and its driving me nuts
  11. I am still trying to figure out how to get the rear wing on, its a POS, need 4 hands to twist the strap and insert the pin.

  14. JJ I will weigh them tonight, chassis and gear box are the 2 main areas of weight
  15. I ended up using red rings, green slim and a small amount of plumbers tape around the threads of on the bottom cap, along with the plastic gasket. no problems so far but I have only driven it up and down the road, id say it would be different after going over a few jumps and crashes.

I picked up an early release from my LHS, apparently 2 came into Australia from the pre production batch, dint come with Diff or Shock oil, was a pretty easy build except for the shock's they suck - the seal is a PIA to get over the collar, 1 X shock leaked overnight onto my tool bench. its a lot heavier than my Super Astute
  19. yeah, they have this up on there website at the moment, I'm only guessing on the JR because Jnr is back, it could just be the new 4wd from the worlds

Hi Jonathon, I have the surpass V4 in my new built Xray XB419 and have had the same problem, its very noisy when off throttle or coasting along, I was of the opinion that I had built the diff wrong but on inspection it is just the Magnets on the rotor, I have a 17.5 in my B6.1 and it is the same. I must say that they are a great motor, heaps of torque and speed.
  23. any update on this mate, I have a RRR ready to be built and am keen to see the build and results of the RR. good work on both builds so far cheers
  24. I have the 13.5 for stock 4wd and its a beast, check out the you tube review by Nick Adams, it has better specifications than the majority of the Big brand motors
