hey guys i'm looking to sell some of my more expensive cars (Not tamiya ones) cos i'm not using them, so i thought i'd sell the expensive ones an get a cheap one, i like tamiya so prob stick with that. Anyone suggest/have a cheap car? just a thrills thing not racing, was thinking figher buggy know its not great but it would do the job and they are cheap, and i am poor lol. Any other suggestion, been thinking of a rally car mayb ta-02 chassis?

yea i know what you mean pete i like the idea of my offroad cars sliding about etc and the baja king is always solid, which in a way is a good thing, unless like me you wanna slide and do doughnuts! My current electric basher is a traxxas rustler which is a hard as nails and very quick. Its had some hard abuse and jumps but nothing has broken yet!
-
my dad had one and it was ok, but as an offroad machine there are much better tamiya cars, its basically the same as the Road orientated TL-01 chassis, but benefits from longer arms so its wider. The main problem is the top suspension mounts, they are quite easy to snap if your gonna be using it for bashing! Also the ground clearance isn't great, its best suited to light offroading, gravel, grass etc not bashing through trees and over jumps. Hope that helps

hey guys, after finding out the probable model of my previously unknown kyosho (thanks to richierich) i am asking if anyone has pictures of the kyosho stinger; either model Any pictures will be appreciated, i'm especially interested as to how the rear gearbox/engine is setup and how the 4wd works so pics with the shell off would be GREAT! either post picures up on here or my email address is dfaz@orange.net cheers guys
-
i think you could well be right richierich, the front end has a gearbox casing but no gearbox and the front wheels on it have drive cups. Thanks very much for finding that!

whippy might want to try going to ur LHS or ebay and getting some resin glue, they use it on planes and its great stuff, sets rock hard. I used it to repair my TL_01 chassis afte i huge high speed roll and its been fine. You get different types that set after a certain amount of time. also very good is that cyroacrylate i think its called, also from LHS. Its like superglue but 10times better, sets in under minute and will stick anything to anything! lol just scratch ur ***/head/nose after doing it incase you got some on ur fingers

hey guys could you check out this link to another forum where i have posted pictures of a car i picked up at a car boot sale the other day, it says kyosho on the rear and its nitro but i don't know and can't see any indication of model number/name. A few bits look home made but i'm guessing an enthuiast will be able to tell by looking at the odd shock setup maybe? cheers guys http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3047569/.../tm.htm#3054136

ooooh sorry moderators but i put this in the wrong section i think, is it JUST tamiya general discussions? sorry if so!

do you like the look etc of the baja king? If so simply take out the main centre shaft and viola you got 2wd nuggy which i hellovalotafun!
-
thanks for the input guys, i know i can't use either the main chassis or the gears thats the parts i need, i've got spare motors lying around, and have an esc capable of handling dual motors as well. I considered buying a wild dagger straight up but they are so expensive and i don't really wanna sell my buggy cos if i didn't like the dual motor car i could just go back to having my buggy! lol so does anyone have a spare chassis and gear boxes for a wild dagger they would like to sell? cheers guys
-
sounds good james, what kinda price you looking for them? and is there all there to either make a wild dagger? i think i'm basically looking at the main chassis and gears, what dya have and what are you looking for it? thanks, quik
-
hey guys quick question, i've got a tl-01B sitting artound in my garage and i wanna convert it to wild dagger status, so obviously i need the chassis, gears and wheels but apart from that is there anything else that needs to be changed? quik

hi first off is this is not allowed moderators then please remove it, i wasn't sure as it is general discussions, but not directly tamiya based. anyway to my dilema- i brought a nitro car with engine but not carb, i have borrowed my brothers engine and fitted the carb but just need to tune it in. Then i wondered, is a carb engine specific, i mean if i fitted one with the same fixing mount and same size etc could i tune it to be able to run the engine. The engines got great compression and bea same not use it. thanks guys for any help quik

oooh **** thats sucks if i end up paying £35, may as well spend bit more and get new engine then sell this one to make up some funds!
-
what kinda custom charge can i look at paying on a £19 carborator?
-
hey guys i was wonderinhg if anyone can tell me whether i'd get hit with any kind of customs charge or anything if i order a carborator from tower hbbies. I have searched the archives but past threads talk of buying whole cars. I'm only wanting a tiny carb for my .15 engine on my truck. any thoughts? and what has peoples past experience been with tower? quik

oh no it is for a boat i got it the other day of the bay for £8, not planning on using it in my car. The reason i aske about turns is in my boat it has a traxxas stinger motor (20 turns), which is the same motor that comes with the RTR cars. which made me think boat escs go on turns too. How can u tell how many amps motors have? for example a standard 540 or a 20turn? thanks guys
-
hey does any1 know what turn/motor limit the marine sonik 3 can handle? it says 600 motor what that mean in terms of turns? cheers guys
-
smith, i can't gaurentee this info as i don't have a stampede i have a traxxas ruslter which is basically the same but with stadium truck wheels. Both the front and rear fixings for the wheels are standard hex fit like found on tamiyas tho you can run the front with just bearing as long as the axle is the same diameter; because it is 2 wheels drive and the front wheels just roll don't drive. I once put the wheels from a mad bull onto my rustler, it look awesome! made the car look lot bigger and more rugged lol Dunno if thats helps you at all mate?

Hey guys thought i'd ask here first before auctioning it to the masses on E-bay. My brother has a mint Astute for sale, here are the main points: >>>Hardly used >>>All original >>>Original box included (bit grubby) >>>tamiya super sealed bearing in gearbox >>>loads spare bits >>>all radio gear >>>charger (over-night one) >>>no major scrapes or anything Only down side is the front tyres are worn down from the few runs its had on tarmac, other than that its been a shelf queen. My bro saids he wants about £70 for it due to the condition but make me an offer if its too high. i have pics i can email, ask at dfaz@orange.net cheers guys

would it matter if i removed the plate on the side that still has it, then screwed it real tight? or am i sounding like a complete dumbass asking this.[:I]
