  1. You have a PM with the dimensions. If you want any others, don't hesitate I have the full parts tree.
  2. I'll be quite interested to see what you come up with for your 'stradale' version. You could do the least work and just do what Kyosho did for their red 1/18th diecast. It's marked as a 'presentation' version. Regarding the weight distribution, I agree with the wisdom that 50/50 static weight distribution is not ideal for handling. Some where in the high fifties to low sixties on the rear axle seems to be best. The thought is under braking you want weight up front but not so much that the nose plows, weight tends to shift to the forward axle during braking, a car with 40/60 static distribution will be momentarily 50+% on the front axle but only during braking. It also is great for RWD cars as the car has enough weight on the rear wheels during acceleration to avoid wheelspin. Then there's the opposite end of the spektrum... front-engine FWD... which easily exceeds the front tires' capability during braking coupled with having to steer the car too.... hence the jokes with racers of it being "Wrong Wheel Drive" xD
  3. For a true Stradale the front headlights/grille/clip & rear grille/lights will both need a re-draw. But if you ever get that ambitious count me in! Now how about hacking that silly rear spoiler off :-D And kudos on the M04-S, I like it!
  4. i have at least one set... you can borrow a set.
  5. I'd say a modern classic is the TA03. It genuinely sets the standard for what was to come. Belt-drive touring cars. For a currently produced chassis, I'd say the XV01. Incredibly durable, flexible parts, sharp handling, and in a crash it just disassembles instead of breaks.
  6. I've been watching the Goodwood YouTube live all weekend and was pleasantly surprised to see that. The Sandscorcher looked like it would topple over at any moment!
  7. the double-sided transparent tape with red backing is the ticket. it's greatest attribute is when removing it comes off as one piece. which is great if you frequently swap components between cars. which i do a lot.
  8. I run a 60amp Gool with my old SCT motor (3970kv DHK Hobby) in my XRay T1 VTA car, it's ludicrously powerful and fun.
  9. I did buy a pair of HPI Mazda MX-5 Miata shells to match my current DD. After I sell my DD I will honor its many years of service with an RC build.
  10. The only durability upgrade that I made was replacing these. I even got the alloy version, but gave away the chassis before upgrading them.
  11. @IronSights nerdy tip- if you paint another Stratos shell- cut the louver masking guard into several thin strips and just cover the vertical area of the louvers, this leaves them transparent. You get to see the chassis/motor peaking through when you drive the car.
  12. Thanks to @StrokerBoy I put M03 rear uprights on the custom M06. The 'sidewinder' path slow speed crawling is gone. And it's less touchy on brakes. This was really important because of the 34mm wide wheels with 14mm offset, on a standard M06 this would be no issue. I think the wheels look more 'correct' now.
  13. Off project for now, focused on a push for my next pilot rating.
  14. Put M03 rear uprights on the custom M06. Thanks again for providing the part number and inspiration. I installed this right-way-round and lost several degrees of tow in- which is exactly what this car needed. The 'sidewinder' path slow speed crawling is gone. And it's less touchy on brakes. This was really important because of the 34mm wide wheels with 14mm offset, on a standard M06 this would be no issue.
  15. Deal expires in six hours, I almost bought one but am just too busy to build anything else. They also have a deal on Sand Scorcher and Ford F350 58372. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/tamiya-1-10-toyota-86-w-ta06-chassis-kit-58530.html
  16. who makes the big offset BBS-style wheels and tires? Hop up uprights that correct toe-in you say.... I think i need that for my M06L 911 GT2 build. The 34mm wide tires create a severe amount of toe-in.
  17. @StrokerBoy i like that look on your truck, what is the wheel and tire combination used in your lowride pumpkin build?
  18. If no one has it, I'll draw it up for ya. Which decals are they?
  19. Fun time with the M06 again. Sunny day on the top of a mostly empty parking garage, perfect. I think this qualifies:
  20. Yep I know. There's a gentleman in Russia who makes the mk2 GTi, which is cool but I want m-chassis.
  21. Ha.. i hear you. I hope the M08 is a RMR car and they make an Alfa 4C body.
  22. I want one of these FWD bodies:
  23. I wonder if we get any new bodies now, that'd be really sweet.
  24. Don't switch off the transmitter while running the car to check if the loss-of-signal throttle safety is working.
  25. @Crash Cramer It's just a deep yellow, the incandescent lighting does that. Here's a photo in daylight.
