Tipo 33 Stradale? Let me look for a pic... ... ... ... ... Oooh! Now that's a voluptuous piece of automotive sexiness. Killerbody shell?

Alrighty! @firefoxussr&@Tizer
... I've shortened down to have minimal excess, i.e. no excess post to cut off.
Thanks, just ordered!
That's perfect for my build, i'm definitely removing the post holes. Magnetic/stealth mounts for this beauty.
Also peeped those Alfa rims... hmmm they look perfect for my upcoming Tipo 33 Stradale on TA05 IFS build.

Thanks dude. It's really all your fault, y'know? You shouldn't have shown me how good your projects looked...

BTW how goes your projects? You were plenty busy before. Have managed to get back onto them yet? I'd love to see what progress you're making. I've been trying to concentrate on this one project and I think it's still a long way off from completion. Perhaps another 4-6 months, maybe? (Or 4-6 years if I keep on adding new projects to the already long list
)
Ha... too busy for building anything. But now that you have made M04L Lancia 037 bodyposts, perhaps I'll get my 037 together by 2018.
I did try one thing that wasn't just basic maintenance to keep my Tamiyas running:

The TVR came out notably thinner, stronger, better texture than last year's Mercedes mold attempt due to an inspiring method found on RCtech for making the mold. I want to make runners of all of these vintage shells that I've collected.

Looking forward to this one .. I'd be surprised, given the boxart, if the cockpit set wasn't included. Just wouldn't be right without it.
I think it's a missed opportunity that the cockpit set doesn't model the 037's visible engine/motor. I've never bought the cockpit set because I think it's more at home in an Integrale.

Well I ordered a pair of HPI X Pattern D compound tyres for the ... and just accidentally won another Advan Courage shell too (NIP)... can never have to many... might run one now!
What you need is for me to get you a 911GT1-98 runner copy like I'm planning on making from my sole original 😁

I get the feeling tamiya is holding off on releasing the black porsche cause there is still a lot of yagermeisters out there. The wait isn’t going to make me buy the orange one though... the 037 is interesting, will it be pvc or polycarbonate? Will it include drivers?
It's ABS. The website is now updated to include a boxart photo too.

Exceptional work, I'm in awe. And somewhat jealous 😁

I wanted one for a while until I saw some vids of in running in a track.... man it steered like crap
It needs grip. I run 34mm wide rear tires on mine and I'm never wanting for traction. Front brakes would be nice however.

I'm considering re-making my HPI Miata 225mm shell with prettier stickers and improved details/faux-soft-top. It's the second gen (NB) MX-5. Would anyone else be interested in one?

The answer is always Miata.

I own one of these bodies! I can't wait to use it.
Not my pictures, these are from RCTech.

Hmm, well the Chevy is front engined, but not rear-wheel drive. I'd say the McLaren is wrong... the engine isn't even in the right spot.

Yep, but would you compare it with Tamiya quality?

(Same thought about A112 Abarth)
LoL... no not even close. The original 037 they released is just...

If you prefer the Murcielago, I've seen repros on eBay too.
I bought two of my HPI Countach clone because it's rare now. I really want the 1/10th Miura that used to be available.

Are they not rwd though? Bugs me when they release rwd cars on a fwd chassis. The shell will be awesome as they usually are but not keen on it being wrong wheel drive.
Form letter to Tamiya I'm passing around, send to your Tamiya distributor or Tamiya Inc.:
QuoteTo whom it may concern,
I am writing firstly to thank Tamiya for the latest M-chassis cars they have released: the MF01x and M07. I'm also the happy owner of a M06.My product suggestion is this, based on the assumption there will be a rear-wheel-drive M08 in the future. Would you consider making the design front-motor and rear/4wd? There have been many 225mm and 239mm wheelbase Tamiya M-chassis body sets depicting front-engine-RWD cars (MX-5 Miata, Guilia, Silvia, etc). Think about the potential of marketing this as a drift chassis in addition to a racing platform. Please forward this to whomever is dedicated to product development.Kind regards,XXXXXX

I'm liking this build and the detailed photos so much, I may actually get one of these. I did thoroughly enjoy my M05 MiTo when I had it, but always felt it wasn't worth keeping around unless there was a place to race it.

THANK YOU!!! I never understood why they put the MX-5 on a FWD chassis! I kept quiet about it, thinking I was the only person that this stuck out to as odd. Being a 1:1 MX-5 owner and M-06 owner, there was only one thing I could do.
MX-5 body on M-06 RWD chassis. The way it should be.

(Stickers pending)
Very pretty, I like the color choice. I too own a 1:1 MX-5 (1999) and a M06 which I went full scale on and made a 911 GT2. I do have some NB & ND bodies to build one day.
There are a few M06 MX-5 ND shell builds exist on RCtech, couldn't find any links.
Someone made one on a MF01x as well:

Oh that's easy. There's no front-motor RWD M-chassis in existence. They have made a dozen FR bodies for 225mm & 239mm.
Don't get me started on the M05 MX-5 kit.

Clearly.. they are milking the TA02 SW for releases of the short wheelbase bodies.. Im guess we may soon see the Lancia 037 on there..
LOL... you're funny. But for reals why isn't this released on a M06 225mm extended to 230mm... so obvious Tamiya...
Tamiya should make an M08 out of the M07 as mid engine RWD with the 037 in polycarbonate... as long as we are dreaming.
I'd also love to see a Peugeot 206 WRC re-re on the M07 or a 911 GT1 re-re on anything.

Can it be done given, M-06 wheelbase is 239mm, RSR Porsche 934 (jagmeister TA02SW,etc) is 236mm
I guess i need extended suspesion arms but which arms to bring it the width to 202mm ish.
I love m chassis and Porsche...
I'd build the M06 as 225mm wheelbase and add some spacers to make it 230mm. do it !!

Thanks again, top notch workmanship!!!
I'm going to post an update soon on the decals. The striping on front & rear is the last piece before I print out some test stickers before sending off to the printer.
