Lol....I know it's not an official tamiya page.....just a tongue in cheek post :-) -
Just a thought......is your motor (and consequently your pinion) to tight to the drive gear? Try moving the motor away from the gear slightly for smoother running. You may have a good understanding of Tamiya's and as such already eliminated this as a problem, but you'd be surprised how many Tamiya's I've bought off flee bay with the motors crunched right up to the drive gear......slacken it off by less than a mm and it instantly runs smoother! It's a slim chance, but start with the simple things first.

Dear Tamiya Corp. Parts are so hard to come by for this highly under rated 4WD buggy. I know it's not an Avante or Egress heavy weight but I'm pretty sure that there are many that would like this very capable and aesthetically pleasing vintage off road racer in their collection!! Yours in anticipation freebs

They are just my runners as I have a brand new set (new old stock) as well :-)

Thanks guys.....I'm glad you got to see the photos, I was pleased with the results. I didn't know they had been re-released, but there is something about rescuing I like.....nothing better than a good result no matter how long it takes! I'm of the 'Do it nice or do it twice' school of thought :-)

Hopefully you guys can see the photos on Facebook? I started by a 2hour brake fluid dip, then removed the soft paint with a small screw driver, there were two layers of paint so I repeated the dip. Then I left the wheels in neat bleach for 24 hours before a good soapy water scrub..... I think you will agree the results are good :-)

Anyone know why I can only post up one photo? Error on upload 2mb limit message comes up? Is it because I'm a basic user because I can't believe the photos are more than 2mb

I can't post any more photos for some reason.....I will put a link up to my face book page to see if that works
