  1. Hi Sturge

I’ve had this problem too, I ended up making a plasticard wall behind the seats to mount the mfc unit and did away with the body stay altogether so now if I want to get inside the cab I just undo the 2 lower front bumper screws and then the front cab screws and lift it off which is a bit of a pain but I found i never go in there unless  I want to fit extra lights/beacons etc. I’ve got quite a few big rigs and they are all done the same way now, The hardest one was the Volvo heavy recovery truck which has plenty of room in the cab but is quite fiddly to get the cab on and off  because of the rear body

  2. Hi everyone I hope someone on here can help I’ve got an old type futaba radio, the ones with the male pins but I haven’t got a battery box so I have got a battery box with a modern 2 pin plug, my question is are the red and black wires on the old radio switch red for + and black for - and white for the signal

if somebody can give me this info I can solder the correct plug in place and get my hilux 3speed churning up my lawn

    thanks Brian

  3. I think I’ve seen this bag in the saint dragon body set. I think you are close with the bracket as it’s an adapter to fit the saint dragon body to various buggies, I bought the saint dragon body set for my madcap in the early 90’s and used that bracket as a front strut brace across the front shock top screws

i haven’t checked the manual though so I might be wrong

  4. I finally remembered to dig out the Lancia front wheels at work i know how hard they are to get hold of but if they are any good to you I would sell them to help a Tamiya club brother out! They don’t owe me a lot and I’m not out to make a profit.

i think if you can get the paint off and they leave them in peroxide in the sun (if it comes back out) they should come out good the edges are a bit rashed but should sand out ok

  5. Hi ALEXKYRIAK I bid on those wheels on eBay too because I have the fronts which have exactly the same goldish paint on them, I’m not kidding I bought them off eBay about a year ago and the paint is exactly the same as yours I’m not sure if they are from the same seller but they must have been a set at some point

the paint is unbelievably difficult to get off so far I’ve soaked them in brake fluid but it hasn’t touched it! My next try was going to be desolvit graffiti remover, I only bought them and bid on the ones you bought because I know how hard they are to find (I also have a good set of used front tyres and 2 sets of nos rear tyres) all surplus to my requirements as my vintage Lancia 037 is all ready complete and restored. I’ll bring them home from work next week and post a picture of them,I’m loving your Lancia build it’s one of my favourite tamiyas even though they look a bit out of proportion there is just something about them

  6. I was wondering this too I’m near Chepstow so not that far from Newport, I don’t get much time to run my cars because they are mostly built for display and only two get driven but it would be good to arrange something

also I recently found out the local rc club in caldicot still meets every Friday for in door races if that’s something you was looking for

  7. I usually use the clear areas between the stickers that come with the kit, I cut them into strips and stick them over the body hole in the same direction as the body clip slides through then slice a cross inside the body hole and push the ends in

you can’t really see them as they are clear and they can be removed/changed easily. I don’t know how well they would last on runner with lots of use but for shelfers it’s free and to hand and works a treat
