  1. As above - fancy one for some reason..... prepared to consider NIB, built, used (as long as body intact) Anyone got anything? only thing I have to swap at the mo would be a VW wheelie, complete built but not run. Body not painted and as new- could top up with cash for the right deal. Cheers
  2. Echo that - none really available in EU. Pargu and Rc_loverr on eBay. High quality. Mine came in about 3 weeks from HK. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALLOY-RIM-TAMIYA-SAND-SCORCHER-GRASSHOPPER-FROG-HORNET-FIGHTING-BUGGY-SUPERCHAMP-/143175868047?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
  3. Anyone got the chrome parts tree they don’t need? The bumpers and side exhausts are all I need. Also condition can be rough as I plan to strip and paint cheers
  4. Yes I think maybe a larger nozzle. and yes should have said I use 2 coats of Tamiya fineline primer. i have actually had some improvement by reducing my thinner quantity with the LP paints. Using 60:40 thinner:paint has resulted in better more uniform coverage but I do wonder whether it’s easier to save the brush for detail and stick to TS rattle cans for the large coverage
  5. Yes that was my feeling. The waste is quite large. he ce I have tried the tamiya LP paints wchich as far as I can establish are TS in a bottle designed for AB
  6. Hi paint gurus Having some teething troubles with airbrushing. Previously always used Ts rattle cans for my hard bodies with good results (dependent on how patient I am!) Whilst I have airbrushed Tamiya acrylics onto small parts and drivers etc I have never done a full body successfully. i have decanted TS before and thinned 2:1 with tamiya lacquer thinner. I found coverage was weak. Requiring loads of coats. Pigment seemed poor and I struggled to get even thickness over the whole body. i am using a basic Neo gravity fed from Iwata spraying at 15-18psi. questions: 1. Are people using different paints for hard bodies? I have just tried LP tamiya paints thinned with lacquer with retarder thinner 2:1 and results were similar. 2x 10ml pots just about covered a lunchbox 2. should I just put more paint on? Maybe another 2 x pots required? 3. Do I need a bigger nozzle? The neo CN comes with 0.3mm as standard. 4. maybe I need to pull fully back and just unload maximum paint from a big distance to get good even coverage? At the moment my rattle can finish is better I think due to wider spray and more paint going down 5. am I overthinning? I read that some people have sprayed LP directly non-thinned sorry for all the Qs. I know the learning curve with airbrushing can be steep and frustrating but I always try and do something more challenging with each build
  7. I use this Pilot Metallic Super Colour White Extra Fine (0.5mm Line) Permanent Marker Paint Pens (1 Pen) https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00PCKK7AQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_Zm69FbYMJCEMN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 seems ok. although oil based do bung up if not used often. Apparently the superfine water based sharpie is good and pretty resistant to rubbing but I can’t find that either!

Are these in stock anywhere? Really looking for one
  10. Very sensible- that’s what I would do too. just thought I’d ask on the off chance- at the mo I have too many projects so can’t really justify buying another but always tempted by a steal. Glwts -if you still have it in dec I’ll take it off you at full price cheers
  11. Apologies. Didn’t get a notification. would you take offers?
  12. There might be one in this lot? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254586555424
  13. Here is glen doing it with the official cap kit
  14. Managed to get some tb-01 e parts from JK-RC so fitted the damper stays and junfac 20mm wheel bolt extensions. Done.
  15. 4ywd is just Tx/Rx no servos. I woul order at least one metal gear high torque servo for the transmission
  16. I suspect performance will be c**p with all the weight from the body and wheels but tbh it won’t get run much. Just wanted to breath some life back into it
  17. Bit of a delay but I got the new shell. it’s big. And heavy. Not sure I can really get it to sit low enough without serious modification. But I will try and run it as is and see how we go. I dremelled below the drivers seat to give room for the cooling head but I wanted to keep the interior at the moment as I may reuse the body on something more scale. i drilled a little hole for the priming valve in the tanka little bit of space for the cooling head! But body still sits to high I think. extra weight requires replacing the springs in the 2 part injora 80mm dampers to stiff CVA ones. I also dremelled the flanges on the plastic bumpers at the underside to allow front and rear arms a few mm of extra travel. IMG_0513.mov Not bad travel for a TG10..... added 20mm hex spacers and some slightly larger beadlocks. exra width makes a difference as the body is 210mm wide. It is really more 1/8 bit of a Frankenstein but it has been fun now to run it
  18. In the process of restomod on my Mad Bison (basically a tb01/tg10). One of the issues is poor ride height and suspension slop. Desperately trying to find a Tb-01 e parts tree or any other damper stay that’s compatible. Tg10 shocks bolt directly to the gearbox but I really want to go up and out to increase travel and allow 80mm shocks. I am sure there are damper stays from other chassis that would line up to the gearbox mounts but unable to find out. Will other TB incarnations fit? Or any of the TT? some pics
  19. Sent it back and ordered another! Once it arrives I’ll hack it up a bit. It is a lovely scale body for the money tbh I was very impressed. What chassis are you using yours with?
  20. So the body arrived. have to say the quality of the Injora is very good. Really sturdy and great interior detail. but- damaged in transit😟 However I did do some fiddling. This thing is heavy. so I need some stiffer springs for the rear- any suggestions? 53281 tgx springs seem to be not available. also I wonder about how much space there will be around the cooling head with this hard body. Might have to cut out the interior. Is the body likely to melt?
