TXT-2 Agrios / Bigfoot 19

NO, unfortunately I sold it to someone. Not sure where it is now a days. -
Another one....and something a little different for me as I usually go for off-road buggies, Monster Trucks, etc.

Thanks! It's actually a really dark Blue, it's a pretty old paint job with the old 80's decals. I thought about re-painting it, but I kinda liked the "patina" going to leave it just as it is! I live out in a rural area so I don't even get any glitches on AM, I like running the old school electronics, brings back childhood memories and simpler times.

Hard to believe it's been 10 years since I built this truck! -
Just doing some Clodbuster stuff....

Well...postman didn't bring it today...but a few days ago...

Thank You! I don't see anything "bad" about modern electronics, I just like to run vintage components in some of my vintage cars / trucks. I have vintage cars with modern gear as well, really it just depends on what I feel like. For me, it just brings back good memories of simpler times, I built my first kit (The Hornet) in 1985. That first Tamiya kit got me started in RC Racing, etc.

Yes, I run it with the period typical components and some of my other RC as well. The MSC works great after cleaning up and put a new resistor on it. The only modern part of running it is a 2s lipo, mainly for convenience, the steady voltage and extended run time. I live out in a rural area so I barley even get any glitches on AM, FM is even better. I also run 2.4ghz in some of my other stuff so I have quite the variety.

This is another on of the Clod Busters that I've had for quite awhile, it's not perfect, it's not pretty and it's certainly not a shelf queen! I've recently switched it back over to old school electronics from running a HW880 and a Flysky 2.4ghz system. Wanted to bring it back to typical 1980's configuration. Really the only "modern" part hidden in there is a 25kg metal gear servo to help steer the beast. Ran it around all over the yard yesterday and it still runs as well, it's not fast by any means, but it is definitely nostalgic and FUN!

The Bullhead and Clodbuster chassis are identical except for the color. The bull head front body front mounts are different, but you can easily use Clodbuster mounts or universal type body posts to mount any body you wish.

Love the CR01, a very under rated rig. -
Parts left over from Tamiya LunchBox build
Jeepy2013 replied to Speedyrelief's topic in General discussions
Totally normal.....some Tamiya parts sprues are used on other models, like the Hornet, etc. and they always gives you a few extras on the hardware. -
3 Speeder metal polish recommendations
Jeepy2013 replied to Paul73's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Simichrome polish works wonders, really good stuff. I even used it to polish the header and exhaust pipe on my RC10GT Black Tub truck I restored. -
Nice Job!

Just finished up this fun, easy build to help try and get some mojo back. My pics don't do the Candy Green paint justice, Tamiya really did a nice job on the paint work! I built the kit using a combination of Avid and Fast Eddy bearings I had here on hand, installed a Holmes Hobbies 15 turn 540 Retro Sport motor with Hornet pinion, RCaidong aluminum shocks and finished off with RCaidong aluminum wheels.

Tamiya 56001 (RT-1601) M4 Sherman 105mm
Jeepy2013 replied to Jeepy2013's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Not a problem, I have a few vintage Tamiya tanks that I've upgraded to modern electronics. I had the Leopard and Gepard but sold them to a friend. -
Here's one that I've had for awhile and recently got it back up and running again. Tamiya 56001 (RT-1601) M4 Sherman (105mm), the first "RC" kit originally released in 1974. I've updated this one to run modern electronics with sound using a Clark TK40 and Visaton speaker. It's still running the original clutch drive but rewired the motors to work with the new control board. I have also added a few extra details the original 1970's kit didn't have like the fender braces, spare wheels, track links, some turret details and the more detailed .50 cal from the newer kit, etc. It also has a working hull MG and cannon flash. All of the markings are hand painted using vinyl stencils. I modeled it after a M4 Sherman that The Bovington Tank Museum has in storage since it was something a little different.

The order number doesn't coincide with the kit number though or how many there are it seems. AE has dropped the ball on their direct pre-orders. Looks like some people that ordered on the 17th got shipping notifications yesterday (on RC10Talk). I ordered mine on the 18th....still waiting to hear something. They had no problem taking my money though.....lol

Sorry to hear about Fusion...I'm in the US and have bought from them a few times as well.
