Big Orange Clod Buster
Jeepy2013 replied to Jeepy2013's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Yes, it sure does make a difference. I'm sure this will run pretty good as is, just haven't got around to it yet (too many projects) lol -

Just a aesthetic vintage "bedliner" piece from what I was told. -

Re-Re Lunch Box
Jeepy2013 replied to Jeepy2013's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Was able to get a few things done on the LB yesterday, disassembled and added ball bearings, added the new chrome wheels & tires, installed a receiver to pair with my GT5 and recycled a TEU-104BK ESC to get it all up and running! -

The Juggernaut

The motors are 27t "pro" motors, generally a lot faster than silver cans and lot's more torque, however these have been well used (and abused). Someone also did a horrible job of replacing the brushes Going to replace them with some new motors and replace the transmission housing. It has a few stripped holes and a few cracks from over tightening. -
Re-Re Lunch Box

Picked up some chrome wheels and stock tires to replace the Blackfoot wheels / tires that came on this pumpkin. Should look sharp with the chrome wheels. Still have to disassemble and add bearings to this little truck. -
Losi LMT F150 Raptor
Jeepy2013 replied to Mad Ax's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
The LMT really does look pretty stout overall, much better than a SMT10. I've been trying to resist the urge to buy one of these myself. -
Along with the Juggernaut I picked up last week, I also picked up another older Clod from the same person. It's a vintage Clod with a extended wheelbase 4-link kit, axle brace servo mounts, EVX-2 ESC, Titan 550 motors and a locked rear diff. The body has a few extra holes here and there, but overall, with a little TLC I think it will be a good runner.

The Juggernaut

Thanks! I may just leave the bottom and go from there. It's actually similar to what a real mud truck here in Florida would use with a leave spring suspension, like you said to help with axle wrap. I think the springs are stiff enough that it shouldn't have any issues. Going to be working on it in the next few days. The truck also has a pair of Trinity "Revenge of the Monster" motors in it. Not sure what turn they are yet. This truck is such a beast! -
I recently acquired another Juggernaut 2!!! It needs a little TLC and some sorting out of the BTA steering setups. It also has some nice hop ups on it like the Tamiya gold shocks, optional Tamiya blue chassis and other assorted (unknown brand) blue alloy parts. The previous owner at some point only installed 4 lower links instead up uppers and lowers, I'm trying to identify these links so that maybe I can find 4 more. I'm thinking GPM maybe? It seems to work ok with just the lowers, so not sure if I should leave well enough alone....lol

I agree, one roll over and it's done....lol -
Not much.....just some new Lunchbox Tires.

Was a good week this week, I picked up this Re-Re Lunch Box from a friend. It has a amazing paint job on it, the flip flop color reminds me of stuff from Dupont. Appears to have been done with automotive base coat / clear coat as it's super smooth and super glossy! It came with Blackfoot wheels & tires, so I've tracked down some chrome metallic edition wheels for it and a set of the stock tires. Will have to disassemble and add ball bearings as well. I am missing the headlight lenses though, so will have to try and track some of those down.

In all the years I've been into RC, I've never had a FOX. I recently picked up this original one, it is a bit of a "fixer upper" though. It looks like it's all there, just been well used. Not sure about the aluminum nerf bar wing thing though....not sure if that is a vintage hop up or not.

Just Another Pumpkin

VERY 90's! -
13.5t or equivalent seems to be the general consensus with the XV01, I ran a Hobbywing 13.5 setup in mine on 2s, ran quite well.
-
Added some Super Clodbuster internal chassis reinforcements to one of my vintage Clods. wanted to brace the chassis but keep the stock appearance.
