A while back I got another Transmitter with multiple model memory, so I no longer need 9 separate Tx/Rx systems. Time to move a couple to people that will use them. I have 2 sets of Spektrum DX2E Tx with Sr3100 Rx. $35/ea or $65 for both.

How many of our children are going to grow up having played with Tamiya re-re's and will get to that nostalgia stage later in life? It probably won't be as big as our generation, but many are going to remember that Grasshopper that they used to drive with dad back in the day.

Well that sucks. I was hoping this was going to be an easy upgrade. Everyone in the US needs to e-mail AMain about the Core RC batteries. They carry other Core RC products.

I glued the tires on my TLR 22 with Gorilla glue and haven't had an issue. The tip on the bottle made for a sloppy job, but it has held. I'm only running a 17.5t motor though so I'm sure that helps. Every other car I've used regular Super Glue.

+1 on the Kimbrough saver. Metal gear servo and a Kimbrough saver and you are set.

It would be nice to have an apples to apples comparison, but Tamiya gave up on high end off road buggies.

This year I built my first Kyosho kit, the Ultima re-issue. We had a little discussion on another forum about the different approaches that Tamiya and Kyosho take to re-issues. Tamiya for the most part is putting them out as they were. It's great for nostalgia because it is the same build you had as a kid. Kyosho is going the "resto-mod" route and giving us a car that looks like the classic but drives better with updated technology. Neither is a bad way to go, just different. I'm really enjoying driving some different brands and seeing how they perform, but I have no interest in getting rid of the Tamiya cars I still have. If you have never built anything but Tamiya kits I would recommend trying one just for the experience. That said, no other company offers the number of different kit choices that Tamiya does. Every brand has good points and bad points.
