  1. yeah thats fine, I just need to get a motor and servo for my tt-01, the motor that came with it is currently in my sand scorcher, I was thinking about something like a trinity p2k2pro. What are you running as tyres, I've made some abs ones for mine but I could only get it in white and the sidewall isn't really that thick.
  2. If this is going to be a regular thing I'll definatly come along, can't make it this time though as I'll be racing my rallycross car on the 9th.
  3. no it doesn't have to be vintage
  4. save up for the spektrum but get a fail-safe in the meantime.
  5. Don't mean to hijack this topic but does anybody know of a 4 channel radio with end point adjustments preferably in 40mhz, I never had any luck with the gear changes using the acoms back in the day and believe that being able to set the end points would solve this straight away. thanks
  6. 17 years old kids on scooters that seem hellbent on becoming a permanent fixture on the back of the passat[:@]
  7. I got the cpr front shock conversion for my frog off ebay and the shocks themselves aren't very good, I'm thinking of trying some mini-t ones on it.
  8. If you can find it theres another post with a link showing some different end pieces that can be fitted to the shocks to extend them.
  9. The threadlock I use is thin enough that it flows into the threads and any excess can easily be wiped off.
  10. Just had a look in my original manual and the only places threadlocked are the bolts for the hubs, the metal plate (which isn't on the new version anyway) and the wheels. If you ask me though not including tamiya threadlock is a great idea as its absolutedly awful, one squeeze and half the tube empties and goes everywhere.
  11. Thanks, one other thing what batteries do you use seeing as a modern stick pack won't fit in a wild willy?
  12. I 've just been looking for bearings sets for the wild willy on ebay but the only I can see are for the wild willy 2, do you know if these will fit the wild willy 1 and also can you recommend a cheap servo that isn't going to break the first time out? thanks Neil
  13. I guess you must be using IE or some other browser that lets you post links[]
  14. Well apart from needing a body my Frogs now back together completely and I'd like to get the Sand Scorcher and the Wild Wily up and running but we'll see.
  15. its on the vintage media page under the reviews tab
  16. At the rate vhs is disappearing those labels will be as hard to find as a vintage tamiya sticker sheet[]
  17. Theres an artice on the main page from an old magazine showing how to make a bumper, I've tried to add the link but for some reason I can't.
  18. I must be lucky having never had any trouble using fender mender, I did recommend it to somebody and it removed the paint he'd just put on, but I did a new shell before xmas with no trouble. I think it helps if its been somewhere warm before applying it making it easier to spread.
  19. Coincidently I've just been rebuilding my original Frog today using the parts mentioned.
  20. Thanks to ebay my Frogs finally coming back together so hopefully I'll be able to make it along to this one.
  21. I'd definately be up for a set, I've already got one of his srb chassis and its great[]
  22. If theres going to a area for drifting I think I'll come along, it doesn't look like my frogs going to be up and running in time.
  23. Which coilover shocks are the best to use on the srb, I'm just in the middle of renovating mine.
  24. Thanks for the reply, I've put my name down for one
  25. Can you put my name down for a chassis plate and bumper please thanks Neil
