Want to get on with re-painting the WW2, so made some small mods to allow the lights to be fitted afterwards.

I have a dozen 1980's motorbikes. I bought them all over many years with my own hard-earned money because I wanted them. They don't get ridden very often at all, I fettle them in the garage when needed but mostly they just sit there making me happy. I don't consider myself a collector, I'm not trying to acquire a set of anything - I just buy what I like (driven by nostalgia) and never seem to sell any. They're not displayed nicely by the way, I don't have the space for that. They do (mostly) all run though, I don't want them to be purely static ornaments. Now and then I meet up with like-minded mates and we have a bit of fun. Most of my friends I met through that shared interest. My missus understands and encourages my hobby and joins in too. If I post pictures of the bikes online there'll be a load of people telling me to ride them more often but I'm not interested in anyone else's opinion. My life, my money, no-one else's business. Exactly the same with my RC cars.

I'll be getting an indoor toilet next...

The last kit I built used 27Mhz, an MSC and a 1900mAh Ni-Cad which was as good as it got at the time. I'm trying to bring myself up to date - well, a bit anyway. I bought a Kyosho HOR recently and the seller threw in a new ESC/motor combo with it. Think it's a Trackstar 18A ? I bought a mini steering servo, and I also got a CORE Code CR151 3-ch 2.4Ghz set a while back for another new build that's still on the to-do list. I tried to make it all talk to each other today. Got no instructions with the ESC and although I've tried looking online, I'm not found anything that definitely relates to what I've got. I'll need a mini battery (and mini Rx) but for now I just rigged up this test setup with a 4300 NiMh. Switch it on and the Rx lights up green, the ESC runs through some musical beeps for a few seconds and the steering servo then reacts to the stick ok. Throttle stick has no effect though. No response from the motor at all, until I switched the Tx off and then it started spinning even though the Rx had lost the signal. The ESC showed a green light at that point, previously red/orange. Fairly sure I've wired it all up correctly but presumably there's some setup or calibration I need to do somehow ? All advice gratefully received. Ta.

Mini servo for my H.O.R.

They only ordered 5 ? FFS.

I'm new to all this 2.4Ghz stuff. Bought a CORE RC kit last year (can only cope with sticks) but none done anything with it yet. I need a tiny Rx for my Kyosho H.O.R. and just when I've identified the HK3100 as being what I need, they're out of stock.

I've been looking to add front/rear lights to my WW2 (not lexan) body. Bought a set of white/red LED's - they came with metal bezels (see pic) but they don't look right. Was planning to butcher some pound-shop torches but then found these Fastrax chrome buckets instead. Should work for my purposes. You could lose the black grilles on yours.

Long break after that, then a Megadrive, PS1 and PS2. Never progressed past that. Oh, someone gave me a DreamCast once too. The missus has a Wii but it doesn't appeal at all.

CRP FX10 suspension kit for my CW-01, plus a pack of JR connectors and a switch for the lighting loom.

Might have to get a Wheeler. If there's any left. Love the Unimog 425 too but not keen on CC chassis so hopefully I can just buy the body.
