Only just found this thread. Stunning job. And I don't even like Beetles...

I'm tempted by 'Willy'. Just can't think where to have it done...
-
Played around with some lights, think these will end up on the Willy.

Amazing work. I'm about to start a custom rebuild of my own, first one I've done. This thread both hugely inspires me and puts me off at the same time...

What cars do you all drive?

Day to day, this 2005 VW T5 Kombi (2.5-130) : Now and then, this 1991 Mini Cooper : And when it's sunny, 12 assorted motorbikes (1981-1996). -
Don't like kids films or CGI at all. Watched The Lego Movie reluctantly, thought I was was going to have a fit 10 mins in but stuck it out to the end. There were some nice touches and a few funny bits (eg. Batman). As a Lego fan I particularly liked the way fires were portrayed.

Pop into Hamleys on Regent St, they stock Tamiya. Give yourself a big laugh at the prices.

Lunchbox body kit, KingCab 'C' parts, WW2 'F' parts, LED light kit, wheelnuts, aerial tube, paint, masking tape, styrene sheet and a 4/5mm spanner.

He didn't. But I ordered my own new shell and it arrived yesterday. Finally, I have an LB.

My missus has 3-400 different minifigures...

Mainly 1980's. 9 out of 12 are 2-strokes (hence my userid). All are grey-imports and/or rare in the UK. The TZR and GSX-R are both homologation specials - only 500 (of each) built worldwide. Here's a couple more. -

Since this pic was taken I've sold one of these and bought another three. And my missus has four of her own too. -
You put a lot of time and skill into that, keep it.

I bought this WW2 a few months ago. Nicely done, but I always had other plans for it. Time to start. Looks like this now. Surprised how complicated the shell is to be honest, thought it'd just be half a dozen screws.

Santa didn't bring me any RC stuff but I bought this for myself a while back and spent Boxing Day afternoon checking it over and tidying a few bits. It's never gonna be a minter, but it came with some spares so I swapped the badly scuffed bumpers for new ones.

I had to work today. Only two of us in and very little to do so we flew my little RC 'copter around the office all morning. Shame it all kicked off after lunch with a proper incident to deal with after the other bloke had left.
-
I love 'em. Best RC car ever. And yet I've still never had one. Had a Pumpkin for 25 years though, and a Unimog on the same chassis. If Santa doesn't Lunchbox me up this week, I'm getting a new LB shell to go on it. Got a paint job in mind already.

Stuck rigidly to my self-imposed limit on an EBay item, and so lost out on something I've wanted for years. But there'll be others.
-
I'd be very keen on a VW T5 shell but not managed to find one yet.

"The trees hold the forks onto the frame much like a full sized bike with a metal shaft and plastic bushes." But compared to a real bike, the yokes are on back to front. I guess that's necessary for the gyro effect on this. Looks very odd though.

Bought 3 spray cans ready for my Christmas rebuild.

Great thread. Need to get one of these now.

Yeah, I have that problem too. Thought it was full with 4. Now there's 12 and it's the same size it always was...

He's looking a little faded now but then he has done over 200,000 miles. And he's still smiling.
