Sweet!
-
I hope this is coming to America!
-
Whoa...where did you hear that?
-
I’d love to show up at a race with one of these vs modern day buggies. The adults would probably be amazed, while the younger generation would ask me what year it was =)

It looks like a sport tuned motor puts out the same max rpm’s as a 19T Lemans 360PT - 21,000RPM at 8.4v
-
Any suggestions on a decent motor/esc that won’t tear the gearbox apart?
-
Any word on the release date?
-
Says the execs at Kyosho...LOL
-
SOOOOO excited about this....any ideas when the date will be?
-
I’m sure it will be belt (maybe shaft) driven…I’m wondering if I should try to find a Lemans motor and a MSC to keep it semi-vintage. If not, I probably wouldn't put much more than a sport tuned in it.

I know the re-release photo is very vague, but it doesn't look like it has the original 'sand super' tires on it? spikes look too short?
-
Great, thanks… I think I’ll take that route then if it looks just as good. That is if/when my wife lets me buy one =) This would be my ‘crown jewel’ that I’d be too afraid to run. I’ve been longing for this car to come back for about 20 years

I’ll have to ask my father how he painted it, but I would think using a paintbrush on the inside would give you more precision.
-
Looking at the box art, it does look like a huge pain to paint…this may be a dumb question, but does it HAVE to be spraypainted/airbrushed? Would it look okay if you were to paint the inside using a paintbrush?

I am super stoked about this car….my father built one when I was about 10 years old (around 1987-88) and I thought it was the most awesome thing ever. To me, the re-release is more than just a ‘cool car’ It brings back some wonderful 80's childhood memories.

Hi guys, Well guys, this weekend I made an impulse buy. My friend wanted to check out our LHS and I had it set in my mind that I was going to ‘buy a truck’ despite the repercussions from my wife…LOL. After my friend nagging me to buy a Traxxas that everybody and their brother has, I decided to try an Arrma Granite. I’ve been researching it a bit and found that it is supposed to be a pretty tough truck. So that evening I decided to try it out with the supplied 2000mah nimh battery. I drove it up and down the street a few times and it was slower than I had hoped, but it may just be that the battery wasn't fully charged (I bought the 15T brushed version) The next day, I decided to put in my 13.5T motor, along with a 2s lipo, TBLE-02S ESC and a 20T pinion (stock is 15 tooth). This thing was on the edge of insanity with the setup…I’m sure when it gets warmer outside, I will have to change my gearing a bit to avoid thermaling the ESC and the motor getting too hot. Running it through my front lawn, it seemed to take light jumps with ease….now the bad part, it was 14 degrees F outside and after a few jumps, I noticed I had no steering. I took a quick look and the steering mechanism was jammed up somehow but I couldn’t see why without taking it apart. Let me tell you, to say pulling that truck apart is a pain is a huge understatement. The moment I pulled the bottom portion off to access the steering mechanism, EVERYTHING just dumped on my table….ugh. Eventually after a few choice words, I found the servo saver arm broke in half and I lost a plastic bushing outside somewhere. I took a good hour to reassemble everything that was left because I like to know how something works for the next time it breaks…The good news is, I called customer service and they are shipping me out an ENTIRE steering mechanism set this week for free. The truck thankfully comes with a 2 year factory warranty and the lady I spoke with on the phone was very cool about it. All in all, it seems to be a pretty fun toy….this is my first non-Tamiya in a while, although something about it just doesn’t have the excitement and appeal of when I run my Tamiya’s for the first time.

After reading my initial post, I realize I sounded a bit 'snooty' I apologize if I came off as shallow and ungracious...it wasn't my intent to sound that way...I meant for this to bring a little humor. Thanks Dave, that’s very true…I do have a lot to be grateful for. Merry Christmas to you too =)

Yeah, I see that now...I ended trying putty, this way I can remove it if I don't like it

Has anybody tried using differential fluid in the front/rear diffs in the TT-02B? If so, did it make any difference in the handling?
-
Ended up returning it to Wal-Mart for $30, hey at least I can use that towards a new Tamiya or hop ups for my existing cars =)

LOL....this will probably be a 'regift' for my wife's friends 10 year old!

LOLSo, my mother-in-law bought me a Mattel Darth Vader RC Car for Christmas and I have no idea what to do with it. Im not a HUGE Star Wars fan, I like the movies but Im not one of those that dresses up as a storm trooper to go to the premiere. Im not sure if she just doesnt care for me or if she thought it was cute. She is well aware that I love RC cars, but come on, this was meant for a 5 year old. It kind of makes me feel bad because there are millions of kids out there who would love to have one and then those who would be happy with a dreidel for Christmas.
