Many thanks. Does the ESC run full power in both directions or is reverse slower?

I got this motor a while ago and soldered the supplied wires on but I am now paranoid they are the wrong way around. Does it matter and if it does which side is positive?

One of my favourite cars. Always said it would build a 1:1 kit of one when I was old enough. Guess I am still not old enough :-(

1 hornet diff for me please, snow play today was no fun -
Land freezer is my top pick just ahead of the takeaway carton. Looks like postage from Japan pushes the kit prices up to almost UK cost so I might have to temper my enthusiasm for a while. I do want a Fall Guy replica though, I think I would bend it replicating the opening titles.

Does the 105 have BEC?

Many thanks, I will have a look about. I was just making sure there was not one that was better than the rest

I will give it a go tomorrow, thanks.

Where do you get you hexes?

Work space for the morning Another one of these to fit Almost done Small issue - the shocks are hitting the tower plates Not sure what to do, others have reported using this same set up so not sure why mine do not fit. Bit more clearance if I loosen the bottom a bit. Need some spacing out Quick YouTube to see how to set up the radio gear Wires tidied up a bit Trimmed the bottom off the body for a quick fit. Not using this body yet but it's nice to see it on Sticking a Volvo touring car body on. It will look out of place but that is sort of the point This seemed like a good idea but it was not great to use Needs jacking up higher but not as high as the BRAT body, that sits a bit high for my liking. Had a quick crawl around the kitchen. Need to adjust the steering arms but apart from that it is ready to rock

You got a BandQ near you? Easy to fix with simple tools and a YouTube vid or so.
-
Thanks but of all the bodies that would be the bottom of my list so it would have to be stupidly cheap. Thanks for mentioning it :-)
-
They use a postage that shows it up to customs but even with customs and postage the prices are cheap. Maybe not cheap enough for the hassle though.

Thanks I will have a look

Willow - film or buffy related? Congratulations - I found I could get mine on the bench asleep and still work at the other side, only works until they can roll though.

I am looking at Banzia hobbys so older or unpopular are cheaper :-) Lunchboxes are so cheap it seems mad not to get one and if I add a few more kits it shares out the postage costs.
-
Well that sold it to me. I loved that program :-)
-
Very sad to hear that :-(

I am looking around for next years projects and thought I might get a CC-01 for some light playing on the rocks in my front garden. My question is are they all the same bar the bodies? I do not want to buy a Landfreeder and then find the Unimog would have been cheaper after adding included hop-ups. Any advice?

All gone here :-( might go for some mud plugging instead.

Yes WD40 is not a lubricant, great for polishing plastic bodywork though. This is a new product, I got a little can free at the bike show last year. It sprays on nice and leaves a waxy film, it is also designed not to fling off so might stay on a bit longer than ceramic grease.

To late for me. Will just have to run what I have finished

This build has an accidental and problematic birth. I ordered two DT-01 chassis from a place in Germany. Turns out they did not have two left so they sent me a DT-02. Sounds great but the C spur parts and the C parts bag were missing. They were very good and sent the bits but while I was waiting I sort of ordered a few Hop-ups No body as of yet, I might try a few things out. I thought about lobbing big wheels on and trying for a hi tech Madbull but I have heard this can cause motor and ESC issues. Started out as a Street Rover with no body or wheels Spent a lot of time ticking off every part to make sure it was all there Ready to start Trimming arms Fronts fitted Built up (poor photo, sorry) Body tub is nice on these, feels much nicer than the DT-01 one Couple of extras :-) Ball Diff - no idea about these but some limited slip seems to be needed on most of these 2WD's Following instructions, for once in my life First issue - standard drive shafts will not fit the cups from the ball diff Balls greased and in the holes Center shaft spring thing all built All build up I have adjusted it all the way up. It did not feel that tight to me but maybe it does not need to be to limit slip. I will run it in for a bit and then adjust if needed. I have over greased my first couple of builds so I though I would try something else. A couple of people have reported minimal wear not using lube so I thought I would try a bit of wax. If it good enough for a 160MPH bike chain then it should be ok on a little car 100% sure these are a total waste of money but £3 so why not Bearings throughout Slightly tuned motor This confused me Worked out this is supposed to be for a smaller motor Fitted Built up ready to go Arms fitted Steering arms measured Front just bolts to the tub as one unit As does the back Found instructions for fitting for motor and got paranoid so it took the cover off and adjusted the pinion a bit Forgot I had these Took ages building them up and getting the correct lengths. Not sure what I was thinking with this photo I built the shocking standard "dampers" just to hold the front end up while I build. I had some help from a friend who thinks she is getting a new box That is it until the drive shafts turn up
-
Looking forward to this. One of these might be my first 4WD :-)

That is what LEGO is for! I keep telling my 5 year old we need to dismantle things so we can build other things with his imagination. Only when we get OLD do we do one off builds and keep them
