  1. Some forums have a members map thing. I think we need a cool location map where people can post things like this and others can see what is in their area.

  3. I have a mad fighter I am converting. The wheels and tyres are the big cost with the upgrade so I might have been better off with the correct kit in the first place. Mad Fighter with Carson wheels is great though but the extra width of the truck tyres on the mad bull seem to stop it flipping as easily.
  4. You can get an ACOMS one for £15 off EBay but you will need a matching crystal. £25 gets same transmitter, receiver and a servo so not a bad deal.
  5. Love it :-) I hate autocorrect.................
  6. You can just get another receiver and use the same transmitter. If you just want cheap and cheerful the Acom stuff is ok and comes with a couple of servos if you buy the right one.
  7. That is the best I have found. Do they do site discount as well?
  8. Looks like £150 is about the best on eBay. You lose all the fun of building though.
  9. I found the long damper rod on both sides was very rough as well. I might polish them next time and see if it reduces stiction.
  10. Dt-01 and 02 so need light stroke. Thinking about it though if I have to strip them anyway I might just try lighter oil first. I have a bottle of 10w fork oil in the garage that might be worth a shot
  11. Me too. Looking at ball diff and a few other hop-ups before I build.
  12. To true, no RTFM here. I have asked a lot of stupid questions in the last couple of moths and got a lot of great advice in return.
  13. Will this not get you started? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151521989150?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  14. I have two sets of these now. They come with the inner bits for varying the damper rate but a fixed rod. Any ideas what and where I can get the upgraded rods from and if it is worth it?
  15. This looks like the RX http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__22910__HK3100_3ch_2_4ghz_FHSS_Micro_RX_suits_HK310_Turnigy_3XS_TX_.html Looking for the best deal on the TX now, my collection seems to be growing at a rate...
  16. I am going to dig out one of those double pencil sharpeners and see if that works
  17. Be careful on the ped mate, they do not bounce or repair quite as easy as RC stuff. I am taking a 1939 Norton out on the Boxing Day run in the morning.
  18. RC related or not. What did you get to make us all jealous? I have not opened anything yet.......
  19. Not so much the fall shock and the grinding along the Tarmac. I have the new cheap one so it has no replaceable case.
  20. Looks like just what I am after. Was about the get an funny looking twisty wheel one because of its memory feature but this looks better to my old school eyes.
  21. I want to put a GoPro in one of mine but need to mount it inside a cage somehow to make sure it does not get damaged when I flip it.
  22. Stick 2x28 tamiya in to EBay and it should sort the shaft out.
  23. Buy the poor sods some dampers for Christmas :-)
  24. I found the big wheels help to stop the flipping that inevitably comes with big steering movements. The MadBull can become a normal buggy with a change of wheels and two components so is good for the future. To be honest though Noah spends about as much time chasing the car while I drive as he does driving.
  25. I have a Hornet with LB wheels and a 80t motor. My 5 year old can run it and it is just about spot on for him build thread here http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=74717&hl= includes a couple of vids to judge speed. If I was starting again I would just go for the MadBull and add an 80T motor.
