There must be bags of these dam things in every house hold. Maybe we need a competition to find the best use for them or for the best item/model made from them.

Preventing tyres from disintegration?
Nobbi1977 replied to Avante2001R's topic in General discussions
I use a product called 303 aerospace on new and classic bikes. http://www.autogeek.net/303aerprot.html It has UV protectors in it so could be great for our hobby too -
Tamiya TEU-104BK Came with a NIB but not needed £15 posted

Sad harking back to that childhood icon. Looking back the A Team was one of the worst programs on the TV
-
It is very sad but I see an A Team van in my future.

Hornet rear suspension mod - no 3rd shock needed..

An interesting thought. I will have a look later. -
Neo Falcon body (blue plated) 4wd mini racer
Nobbi1977 replied to Nobbi1977's topic in Trade Archive
Sorry. This was purchased in error so needed to get gone. -
You are all correct. I must have tried them on the DT-01 not the Hornet. This "sale" is just for 6 rears now. I will keep the front for spares.
-
I will try them again. I was sure the offset was different and they hit the steering arm.

Hard to do but often the best policy.

There's BigWigs... BigWigs everywhere!
Nobbi1977 replied to THE HP FREAK's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
A toupee of BigWigs could be a good collective noun. -
Only a QD one, assuming they did a QD one.

Connected the servo up this a length of m2.5 threaded bar and took it for a run. It might be a bit direct now, flipped it on the first turn. Might have to adjust the position of the ball on the servo. Apart from that it went well but the rear shocks are way to hard so softer springs needed.

Where do you put the aerial on 2.4?
Nobbi1977 replied to Nobbi1977's topic in All things electric...
Great, this is going in the kids build then. They get bored of driving and just want to chase, they always end up pulling the aerial tube off. Many thanks -
I unpacked a new set up yesterday and noticed the aerial is different and will not run up the straw as normal. What does everyone do? Can it be hidden or does it still need to be up and visible?

I am on kit number 4 and have started to get quite a collection of the plastic bearings. I assume 99% of builders on here scrap them for steel so what do we do with them? Anyone come up with any practical or amusing uses?
-
Broke my own golden rule and fitted the front one in the living room to be sure. Need another pack of longer screws now to mount the rear lowers, I just used the last lot up fitting balls the the CVAs on the DT-01
-
Fusion, you have me nervous I have ordered the wrong bits now
-
Out-laws here this weekend so not chance of getting these fitted :-(

I have just got one of these turn up through the post http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131299487801?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Looks good at first glance ( throttle seems not to be spring loaded but sure that is a setting so where) £20 with receiver from China. EDIT: popped the back off and swapped a couple of springs and now the sticks function correctly

Love that paint job

As I was building I was looking at the front motors on EBay. £20 plus a set of drive shafts it seems rude not to do it. I found there was a lot of slack in the front steering. A small movement in the upright pivots and movement in the axle add up to a lot when moved by hand. Is it possible to shim the axle to take the play out? I guess the best thing is to go and beat the badword out of it for a while and see what happens :-)

It would be great to have a few basic how to type threads covering the basic free software and the principals behind its use.

So for car purposes do we care much? We would notice the lack of turning and stop the car, not as vital as a plane?
