  1. I purchased a pair of TA05 arms to try but they are way too tall. I think it will need 850 bearings not 1150's Edit. Just looked and those use 850's so should be ok. Looking forward to seeing how you get on.
  2. Sorry to but in but what is BEC?
  3. I was ordering a few bits from Tamico and this was on for 100 euro and since I was paying postage any way I thought it would be rude not to get it. A random ebay search threw up a couple of possible basher bodies for less than a tenner for the pair. Volvo S80 911 GT1 (200mm so might be a bit wide) First thing to do is strip the pre-built gearbox and take all the plastic bearings out I did not strip the diff, looking back I wonder if I should have. Torque Tuned in for fun Building arms Fitted Drive shafts, impressed they were metal and not plastic Rear done Front "fake" motor Building steering Shocks built (they are truly shocking but I need something to keep it up until the nice ones turn up in the post) Servo part built. No radio gear yet so cannot set it Chassis parts Servo fitted The kit came with an 04 or something ESC but I had a brushless one so thought it would be future proof I cannot fit the front properly until I set the servo. I cannot set the servo until i get radio gear. So I fitted the wheels anyway to see what it looks like. I LIKE Any ideas, tips or clues going forward?
  4. I could not even consider running with the standard servo linkage, the wheels did not feel connected to the controls at all. I have added a couple of small ball ends, i had to re-drill the steering arm to clear the shock tower. The saver will need redoing but it just wanted to try it with the ball as far out as possible. Just need to wait for my length of M2.5 bar to go in the middle and it should be ready to go
  5. My hat goes off to you then. That is a fantastic finish for rattle cans
  6. Will cost you a fiver to try :-p To be honest they can got to anyone who will cover postage, so £3 ish.
  7. I think she can give it to me as a present, i have not asked for anything this year.
  8. Great, I will have a read later. It was more how to use a gun (settings, pressures) and water down the paint etc I was interested in. It is a skill it would like to learn but I have not idea of a starting point.
  9. These are great. Any chance of a how to thread? If I can 50% as good as these I would be over the moon
  10. Less than £70 delivered from Germany, how could I not? Not sure how to explain that to the wife!!!
  11. QD fit so not fit for much
  12. If something looks to good to be true then it usually is, I found out on a last second bid. Includes new hex adapters. For QD models only. £5 posted
  13. That looks great as is, looks a lot less comic that the standard kit. Can't wait for the rest of the transformation.
  14. Looks like I am out 5% for this and my last order then. Never mind, I am sure margins are tight at the moment
  15. Two plates and two pairs of shocks on the way. An extra 50% on the cost of the kit but sure it will be worth it :-)
  16. Thanks, that looks spot on
  17. Great I will get a couple ordered. I have not joined TC yet but now might be a good time. If I have done it last week I could have got a lump off my last lot of shocks What length can I go to with the plates fitted?
  18. I have just finished putting the front and rear sections together and do not want to have to build the horrible standard shocks. Someone mentioned alloy shock towers allowing the use of longer shocks but I have googled and cannot find any options. Anyone got knowledge or a source? Any ideas or experience welcome.
  19. Ok so I did not read the add before hitting buy it now. Free to good home for the cost of postage.
  20. I thought about that but not sure if I can get my head around how you learn to use one. Sticks are very much self explanatory.
  21. Need to get a TX that can take a lanyard next to help them hold it, or one that is very small and light
  22. They were ramming each other's ankles at full chat and there were very few tears. They also hit everything solid within a mile and did not manage to do too much damage to the car.
  23. As I see it this should not be hugely hard for those with skills...... Both the standard bearings will fit inside a lower arm gap so a block to house them with a axel through it should secure a hex in the wheel. The block can then work on a pivot screwed in from the top and bottom. Get the idea or am I way off?
  24. Need my package from Japan and I can get building the rest now
  25. The only big issue with the kids was them grabbing the ariel. Need a long term solution for this.....
