  1. Well yesterday the poor thing had 6 under fives driving for 1.5 hours. The motor is perfect speed for this age and the battery lasted the full time. It only came to an abrupt end when I fail to spot a I small river hidden in a dip and totally submerged it. It dried out over night and ran well today so all is good in the short term. The o rings on the diff worked perfectly day 1 and the rear had real traction on the wet grass. It wore off today though and went back to spinning one wheel and failing to put the power down. Will have to strip it and see what has happened.
  2. I think the inference was to get a spring powered rifle and hop it up. I am guessing firearm talk is not welcomed here but Google is your friend.
  3. I use the cheap car ceramic stuff. We are not build Swiss watches and Tamiya is hardly close tolerance or heavy duty compared to anything motor related.
  4. Never mind. Will stick them for sale on here or lob them if no one wants them. 99p down the drain
  5. Quick bit of Google and ebaying and it looks like you are correct. 1/14 tamiya QD kits seem to be the best bet. Will look at the width of them when they come out the dishwasher.
  6. Advertised as Lunch box wheels but saw the hex and thought great for Madbull but the hex is tiny. Any idea what they fit? I have six hex and two bearing type fronts.
  7. Nothing :-( waiting on a large parcel from Japan with hop up bits for my DT-02 build. Not much you can get on with them without fitting the diff and a ball one is in the box. Also waiting on some very cheap knock off bodies to cut about and have fun with.
  8. Hi Sounds like a plan. I need some training on the machine and to find out where to get materials from first but I hope to do that early January
  9. I have a vacuum former at work so I am going to take a couple of tubs in and see what I can do. With an ESC there should be no issues with a DT-02 or Hornet but the DT-01 is open at the battery so will fill up anyway.
  10. It has only just occurred to me that I live 15 min from the sea and this could be great fun. To me beach and sand means holiday abroad but I bet I can have just as much fun in Cleethorpes.
  11. My brain says yes but my skill level maybe lacking. What a fantastic bit of kit
  12. Many thanks. That just looks ridiculous so back to plan Z. The front and rear of a dt-02 are independent and just bolt to a centre tub so I might be able to make a middle section to connect them or just modify the heck out of the standard Lunchy like so many others have to great effect. New EBay search added for a tatty (read cheap) LB or LB body.
  13. If someone had a good quality image of it to post then is easy to print on to waterproof decal paper with any inkjet at home
  14. Ordered a DT-03 seems a shame not too, I have one of each of the DT's then :-)
  15. I do have a LB chassis I got with a set of arms. I have been thinking about getting another DT-01 and hanging that Axel off the back and using the arms up front with some better shocks. You are right this could be a fun learning thing but I do not share well with others so my poor boy might not get the best out of it
  16. Can someone order a boat load and distribute in the UK?
  17. Could you do a body lift to help make that work?
  18. That would be great. I happen to have a WT01 in stock waiting to be built. I could maybe sell the BRAT shell and kill 2 birds with one stone here
  19. Just the body. Looks cool in a metallic blue but way to small to fit on to any of my bodies
  20. I have just had a blue Neo Falcon body (94771) arrive in the post. Ordered in error before I noticed the JR in the title. Yours for the price of postage if you want it
  21. Both of them would look cool. Bit out of the price range for the boy though. Just seen the price of a LB shell on its own!! might as well get the whole kit for that much Thanks for the advice, I had not considered it was quite a small shell
  22. I want a good driver. The wheelie thing is not for me but some mud plugging and real off road stuff with the boy would be nice, I think 4WD is a must
  23. I was talking about the extenders that push the shocks more upright. I have been looking at them front and rear but not sure if they are just bling or if they are worth buying.
  24. Has anyone fitted a lunchbox body on to a more capable chassis? My son is obsessed now and I have promised him one if he learns to drive the Hornet properly. Thought the WR-02 might be a good option
  25. I think that body stops the use of the carbon spacers for the shocks that the racers run. I am sure a minute or two with a dremel would sort that out though.
