I hope it raises lots of money for your chosen charity
If it gets a little more than the boxed kit was worth then it will be worth it.

Finished today, eBay tomorrow

Final part today
The sticker are metallic and pre cut. I hate doing the decal part of any build, that might be why this is the first box art I have built 😂
First mistake and reminder to RTF. I put them on in the wrong order so one will not fit now
Not bad, might hit it with the hairdryer later
Body screwed down and waiting for the grass to dry before I give it a gentle test drive.

Great stuff, would you mind me sharing on my Facebook page and website when your done?
No happy to share far and wide when I get it listed. Think I will aim to get it on for Sunday night. Always good to finish late on a weekend.

Good prices at the moment for the comical range not on my list at this present time but definitely looks good!
It was not on any list for me but someone posted that they had got a good deal and suddenly there are two in the post!

Tamiya to banana is easy https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282995178642
Or a plug adapter https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273163867650

On a side note I found the fan hop up for the TBLE02 helps with the thermal issues

Hi Guys! We started building yesterday, finally. But we realized that the charger (
HTRC C240 DUO AC 150W DC 240W 10Ax2 Dual Channel RC Battery Balance Charger ) doesn't work with the batteries (TURNIGY STICK PACK SUB-C 4200MAH 7.2V NIMH HIGH POWER SERIES). The plugs are different. Is there an adapter that we can buy?
Pascal
Turnigy normally come with XT60 plugs. I am guessing the charger has deans.
Something like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352977077454 might be what you are after?
Does the battery fit the ESC?

Day 2
Everything out again
A bit of thread lock on the drive splines
Digging in the box for some electronics. I guess it will sell for more as a RTR
ESC is a eBay special I do not remember ordering. It might have been a “I wonder if these work” moment.
Servo is a Hobbyking basic one.
Tx and Rex are not new, they came out of a Maverick Scout that did not get a lot of use.
RTR
Stickers next time

Best Buy a new kit then to use the .6 pinion on 😂
-
Any 12mm hex will fit as long as they clear the arms and hubs. Most should be ok.
I would not worry about the pinion change. Acceleration will be less with big wheels which might be better for a child. Run it an see how hot the motor gets.

.8 on the DT -02 and 03. I always used the Tamiya hop up ones because they used to be cheap

I blame you lot for this..

Finished the Rising Fighter charity build. Not everyone’s dream car I know but not a bad build. Lots of different size screws to keep you on your toes.
Stickers tomorrow.

I have big wheels on mine.
About half way down the page. Think I used CR01 beadlocks with WT01 tyres.

Thanks for that! Last resort I guess. Seems criminal 7 quid for two tiny servo mounts 😂 guess i would have spares!
I will have a pair. Not sure how to post them at the moment though

No binding, it’s mainly landing a jump still on full power with brushless motors, I just heard one snap as my daughter did it. She’s of average skill & takes some encouragement to drive them anyway so I don’t want to put her off. My son on the other hand has been perfecting his control of them in the air with the throttle & managed to combine that with coming off the power on landing & didn’t break any.
Having quite a bit of diff putty to give it a stiff LSD effect is hard on the drive shafts too. My Super Blackfoot used to snap its drive shafts on every roll with a solid locked diff.I see, they are twisting. I guess big wheels and a semi locked diff will do that.

I’ve got a konghead to build too. Not sure whether to buy full bearings or not, it costs nearly 25 quid as so many.
If you are going to run it then bearings are a must. You don’t want to have to strip it all again after a month and then fit them

Not a huge work space and I need to finish at the end of each session and clean up
Sort of halfway between a Grashopper and a DT-01
I said I would follow the instructions to the letter but I cannot not use thread lock on metal parts
Front arms. I am using the lightest touch of ceramic grease.
Front end done
I had to grit my teeth and fit the “shocks”. I almost went hunting for a set of CVAs...
Gearbox time
I have some “spare” bearings in stock.
Touch of grease. Only in a couple of spots, it will spread when run
OK I put a little putty in the diff... just enough to help drive
Another grit my teeth moment. I do not have a steel pinion this size..
All done for session 1

How about these cheap 20kg servos?
I've got one from a different brand (but looking about the same) from a recommendation of a TC member to install it on Juggernaut 2. It feels quite smooth.
There is a 25kg one too. But I haven't used it.
Below is a video if a guy testing the 20kg servo.
Here is another dude doing a review.
I am a sucker for buy cheap, buy twice. The Wraith needs strength not precision so I might give one of these a try. I will do a vid of what we are driving over and if we do not kill it we will have a winner. If we do kill it then hopefully all this Covid stuff will be over and I will not have time to drive anyway 😂

I have been away from here for over 5 years now and have only just found out about these. My question to you is, are they any good?
I was on the fence about buying a bruiser as I have the 3 high lifts and just couldn't justify the money. Mainly because at that price it probably would end up on a shelf.
This is a fantastic thread, I am well impressed with your build.
My RTR one was a pile of junk. Body was not bad

Started my Rising Fighter charity build. Stock build with bearings. Will find some radio gear and then stick it on eBay for Blood Bikes. With the current situation they have no opportunity to fund raise and they do a great job. Build thread pending admin approval.
