  1. Well my random EBay searches threw up two sets of Madbull wheels advertised as LB ones. 99p and £3.85 for postage make them a bargain.

So plan B is use tyres from the HornetBox (not keen on spending another fortune on tyres) and turn this in to a full Mad Bull. I have ordered the correct from uprights so this week should give me some tasks to do.

Hornet can go back to stock and have a sleep in the loft until I find myself at a loose end.

  2. I find they are a bit like goldfish. They nreed to fill the space available, then numbers tend to hold steady, unless of course you move them to a bigger "tank".

My fleet was in the 'teens for quite a while, until I got more shelf space and a radio with more memory slots. Now it has gone into the twenties...

I find the same with motorbikes, build a new garage to have space to work on them and suddenly it is full with more bikes. RC cars are at least a bit smaller.....

  3. thats not why i was asking Steve . i'am interested in building a DT02 racer and wondered what the body options are . thanks anyway mate but if someone makes you a offer take it .  Nobbie thats your que lol

I think the lexy Sand Viper bodies are about the cheapest on eBay at the moment. I am guessing on a racer the key is to keep the weight down as much as possible.

  4. Arron I have one of those rough rider bodies you can have for the cost of postage if you like, I did start chopping it like Nic's but changed direction and fitted a hammers cage instead. PM me if you're interested.

If he is not interested I would be. Love that classic look and I might be able to get a Willy in there.

  5. Nope, I still can't see it. I tried three different browsers as well as updating the Flash Player plugins for them.

I guess there might be an issue with some copyrighted music in the background? Or maybe something else?

I would really like to see that video about painting the HB bodyshell, since PE rejects pretty much every chemical that you want to apply to it.

Works fine on the iPad and they are the pickyist ******s around.

  6. I went for a ACOMS cheap unit in the end. The price was only just more than buying two servos that I needed so I will give it a go. Cheap units mean I can let the kids play without worrying to much. Will go for something nicer when I build more models for me. That 2.4ghz looks good for the money, another member is trying out a dirt cheap 2.4 stick setup so I was waiting for a write up on that.

  7. I got all my bits free with my Hornet package so I did not do any research or planning.

I am very new to RC so am not sure what to do or when.

I have 3 packs (one with a bust plug)

A conditioner ( of real use or a scam?)

    And three chargers

When do I need to charge and discharge batteries? Do I store them flat or full?

What other kit do I need? I think I will need more batteries when my garage gets larger than my amount of batteries.

Is it worth looking in to world of LiPo for the occasional runner?

    Many thanks in advance.

  8. Great idea. Ask Andy and Chris first and see if they are keen to put the club logo on it, contact a printer, run a poll, and then we can put a decent calendar in our houses instead of the missus' kittens/baking/flowers jobbie B)

Dirt roosting, water spraying, sand digging, tarmac tearing, car crushing RC pictures are what we want! :D

I think you are talking 2016 now though, bit late for 2015, all the printers are flat out doing corporate Christmas cards
