  8. And step 27 let's get on with the body... it's pretty fragile, so I hope I don't destoy the car with the first test runs Parts The back part mounted and inforced with some evergreen strips..... and detailling the dashboard looks pretty good if you ask me the fuel lid I presume and an overview of the upper body mounted and painted.... Tom
  9. Scale is 1/12.... and unfortunately this is my only ine... so nothing to compare it to.... Anyway time to get on with the show Here step 26 Not more then putting the parts of the previous steps together. As you can see I put the right Jerry Can the other way around... just liked it more this way Tom
  10. And lets get on with 25 The parts Jerry cans The trunk rear bumper front bumper Perhaps you can see that the racks are mounted in a way that they are not straight.... I didn't think this was very nice So I cut the rack. Mounted this loose And afterwards munted this in an angle of 90 degrees ! Looks a lot better to be honest And the end result. I also took the liberty of changing the pins on one Jerry can, Otherwise they are mounted in the same way, I like the look of this better Also the hook is not mounted yet... I'm still looking for a small chain for this..... Unfortunately no hobby store in the neighbourhood.... Any chance anyone got something lying around ???? Tom
  11. Finaly, lets get on with the body Step 24 (It's about time isn't it here the body parts and the small parts that need to be mounted... you have to cut the wire mesh yourself Mounted and painted Tom
  12. And to complete the chassis, step 23 with the parts..... And the end result of the chassis just a few more detail pictures Tom
  13. Here Step 22, the adjustment of the torsion bars, Tom
  14. Thanks !! Yep, will paint the body like the original ! I forgot to put in step 21, But I guess you understand that I really did this Tom
  15. And the installation in Step 20 The servo arm And how it looks like put together!!! ready to run !! Tom
  16. The scale of the Vehicle is 1/12 !, and yes, I will refer to the boxart... (just the way I ike it ) Lets get on with step 19 Step 19 ???? yeah, well not reaaly a build step More like testing th transmitterand receiver..... I will be using an Acoms transmitter, with a Tamiya TRU-02 receiver, a TEU-104BK Speed controller, and for now a Futaba S3003 servo And the parts.... thank God it all works fine Tom
  17. Glad to see that it is read So lets go on with step 18, the front underguard.... something that I will definately need with my driving skills The parts and mounted Like I said, I don't find it very appealing on the model, but i will mount it, to minimize damage when driving it Tom
  18. And step 17 The chassis is nearing its completion parts for fixing the chassis later on and the tyres with 5 screws each and completed (upper view) sort of sideview Tom
  19. Yup, indeed, the suspension system is very typical for the XR311 / Cheetah design..... and I must say it works quite well anyway, lets get on with step 16 Step 16, the tyres the parts (this sprue times 2 of course) and the tyres (total x 4 of course) The rims have been painted in the correct colour takes some effort to put the middle piece in the tyre and the endresult.... the rims don't have to be glued, because they will be held together by the screws Tom
  20. And let's get on with 15 right away, the rear suspension Same set of parts as step 14 And put together, it almost doesn't fit anymore on my A3 cutting mat..... Tom
  21. Thanks guys, let's continue then with step 14 The torsion bar setup This is also the biggest improvement on the original XR311 / Cheetah design The old ones were plastic torsion bars which had the tendency to break, so they were replaced by metal ones (part BP-2) step 14 !! The parts and the result Didn't put tension on it yet, otherwise the legs will be in the upper position Tom
  22. And I'll continue with 13 right away.... The parts (lets start with Gear B, and the result..... sorry for the bad picture, don't look at it too long or else you're gonna be sick and like I said with step 12, the same picture Tom
  23. Hi Guys Well, at least there is interest, and that motivates me enough to continue So let's continue with step 12 The RS 540 motor The parts And I made some pictures, but the lighting was totally wrong, so this is actually the picture of part 13...... Tom
