  1. Have a look at mine you can see more pictures here https://www.flickr.com/photos/appleby20/albums/72157670558929461 Make me a sensible offer (PM) and I may consider sending it to you, I leave in Luxembourg so it shouldn't be a problem.
  2. How it was possible that I missed this build?? Awesome. Following now.
  3. Awesome builds, both of them. BTW, where have you got this coilovers for the Scorcher?? And which brand/model??
  4. 51 and having fun too. Few days more and I will be 52. I accept donations as birthday present, in cash or in goods, no problem Cannot even remember when I started with the hobby for the first time during my younghood, and some years ago I came back with stronger feelings (and bigger budget). That's life though.
  5. Uploaded photos of my Re-Re The Frog to my showroom http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=128655&sid=43539
  6. Mine is not Tamiya, in fact I don't know who is the manufacturer. It was a special RTR edition to be sold at Audi dealers. Shell is relatively well detailed, but paint and decals are all-in-one internal layer, prepainted in factory, and is not as detailed as Tamiya. This is specially noticeable in lights and straight lines.
  7. Uploaded photos of my Audi A4 DTM to my showroom http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=128636&id=43539
  8. Finally uploaded photos of the Golf24 to my showroom http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=128616&id=43539
  9. Good job, I like the final result.
  10. You can use also whele spacer wideners, they are existing in different dimensions. As an example http://www.ebay.com/itm/17mm-Wheel-Spacer-Widener-extension-1-10-Tamiya-12mm-hex-kyosho-Crawler-4WD-RC-/131281919456
  11. In fact this is what I thought. Replace the pastic cylinder for a rod of aluminum of the same dimensions and tap both ends at M3. Then one end will be fit to the motor mount with countersunk screw and the other end will be tightened with M3 screw instead of self tapping. Although to make it stronger would make sense to replace tha full mount with aftermarket aluminum motor mount. I insist, Tamiya could and should do it better.
  12. You are absolutely right. They always write a kind of disclaimer in their manuals saying that we shouldn't tighten too much the screws that join two plastic parts, but to be honest, they could do better. They should do, I believe. Anyway, I won't stress the motor that much, this truck won't be used for crawling, racing, jumping or any other similar stresful activity. Just moving at low pace, so I do not expect to run into trouble. The body is very well detailed and painted, so I will blame myself if got scratched. Here it is Next step, some outdoor pictures
  13. After cleaning everything looks shinny Nice
  14. As usual, a thorough cleaning requires full disassembly. Plastic bearings...mmm...have to be replaced Motor is 80t, good for this type of vehicle, it won't race. Motor mount is not broken !!! Well, not completely, observe the little cracks. I will use it for the time being. Pinion is 16t, so even slower motion. Suspension arms, uprights, dogbones, are in good status Ball diff seems to be in good status too. And everything disassembled
  15. Well, since last update many things have happened. Now, I'm I building not only one but TWO Hummers. One would be original Boxart, which is the one I will show you right now, and the other one will be modified to host a TOW luncher, and I willl try to keep it as realistic as possible, so it will take a bit longer. First, let me introduce you the new members in the family: Original Hummer chassis from Ebay (dirty, dirty, again...), and Original factory finished body in superb conditions, thanks to our colleague Berman The Body came directly from New Zeland to Luxembourg. Well packed and in very good status, as I've said. The chassis was in good mechanical status, but dirty, so again I will need full disassembly and thorough cleaning Chassis tub was in good conditions, and that made me think that the overall status would be good despite the dirtiness A simple cleaning would have estimulate the bidding, but thanks to that there were no bids for 3 consecutive weeks, and then I managed to convince the seller to reduce the price and sell it directly to me. Now, I will not bother you again with the full cleaning process, just some highlights and final results
  16. Roll cage has stickers, although it's also possible.
  17. Build thread of that one must be epic !! Almost 3000 pieces !!
  18. Awesome Hummer factory finished body, coming from NZ. Thanks, Neil
  19. I started reading this thread just by curiosity, and then I couldn't stop til the end. Dad-son collaboration is amazing. I feel a bit jealous, because I never managed to convince my daughter to do something like that. Now she is almost 14, so I believe it's a lost battle. Congratulations to your son for a job well done.
