  1. Maybe another alternative, if you are looking for some programming that already exist, is to check EdgeTX. It is an open source language designed for radio transmitters. It is very widely used in the drone/flying world and recently, starting to branch out to the surface arena. Radiomaster came out with the MT12 which uses EdgeTX programming and it can be configured either using ELRS, or their 4in1 module which binds to almost all mainstream receivers... it is highly programmable and full of customization that may meet your need...
  2. It is made for a TT02 chassis and I am not sure if it will slide in if I use it on my 01e. Do you know if it will fit?
  3. Not necessarily... I saw the Metal Garage fabricated one but it comes at a whopping $50+...
  4. Spent almost an hour looking for an adjustable motor mount for a TT01/01e, just like the ones made by Yeah Racing... am I looking for something that doesn't exist? I wanted to use use a 17t pinion and 63t spur.... I know the spur holder for the TT02 will drop in the TT01 with some mods but I also need to make sure that the smaller pinion will mesh... The stock motor mount on the TT01e only shows up to 19t pinion.
  5. I usually use Duct Tape and cut into smaller pieces. There's an all-weather type duct tape... I use either black or white.
  6. I do this as well... And the extra magnet on the outside shell as a place holder helps a lot in making sure alignment is exact. Just make sure you are using the correct magnetic polarity.. if not, they will repel...
  7. Any workaround with this? How about shimming some parts within?
  8. Thanks. It was actually locked before using some diff locker. I wanted to compare a locked vs open diff for RWD drifting and I’d prefer to keep it open. However, I am disliking the fact that the drive gear is very loud. One reason I wanted to try an oil diff is to smoothen and quiet down the car… not necessary but more of preference…
  9. Wanting to know if the XV02 (22049) oil diff will fit a TT01e chassis. I know it will fit the TT02, but my hesitation comes because the TT02 oil diff (54875) on Tamiya USA website says it is not compatible with a TT01 variant. I want to use an oil diff in my RWD drift converted TT01e. I also saw that there's a TT01 specific oil diff that is offered by 3Racing but it uses plastic bevel gears. Thanks.
  10. Wondering if someone can give me some inspirational ideas on what color scheme I should paint my Tamiya A80 body. I bought it out of impulse buy and I really dont have a need for it now, but I figured I can use it as a shelf shell. It will go over my MRC converted TT01e which I use for drifting with a Scirocco body.
  11. How about an AGFRC servo? I use two for my drift cars. They are supposed to be the manufacturer for Yokomo, Rev-D and other branded stuff. Some of their servos are programmable as well. They do have a storefront from AliEx but also sells on Amazon.
  12. Finally finished my MRC conversion but I have yet to test it on a track... it definitely drifts in a controllable setting... Also bought a decent Futaba gyro instead of using the built-in from my receiver, which is a must anyway in RWD drifting... Ive relocated my battery mount to be slightly forward and above the rear axles.
  13. Ok... So I buy from Mercari and pay for the item... but is the item going to be shipped to me, or to a third party handler, that I need to pay again for them to ship the item to me stateside? Is there a way to see how much is the "total out the door" price I have to pay?
  14. It annoys me that certain group of RC “hobbyist” look down on Tamiya… treat it as if it’s a “toy”… do they not know the epic history behind it???
  15. Practically new. I bought it from Asiatees. I just found out that it doesn’t work with my Radiolink TX/RX… but ironically works with my kid’s tiny Turbo Racing radio, so I know the gyro works… apparently this gyro works best if paired with a Futaba branded radio gear… Sticker in the box stating “Futaba Receiver Only” Asiatees will only allow for store credit but I dont want to be stuck just with them. Only asking for what I paid for and shipping will be on me within 48 US states. PayPal goods and services preferred. Price is $75 shipped. Sorry US sale only, unless you pay for international shipping.
  16. I really don't want to get into this mess, but I am an avid learner... How do I start? Which Japanese marketplace should I look into?
  17. Waiting on Tamiya USA to have some sale like it used to have a few years ago…
  18. My personal experience is that all parts are complete… but Ive had an esc that was doa once and Tamiya USA sent a replacement.
  19. Can anyone recommend an affordable (sub $50) drift gyro? I converted my TT01e using the MRC RWD conversion kit and the built in gyro in my receiver is not ideal for drifting.
  20. Yes, you can pop the casing off... there are just tabs on the sides... be careful not to lose the little plastic thing that is used for the settings button... There's a LIPO cut-off mod you can DIY... all my TBLE02s have been modded for LIPO cutoff... not difficult to do, but requires some precision when soldering the resistors... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIeTqY-LJOY
  21. Thanks. I have to run it by wife as she is the mastermind in designing the space… i appreciate your time…
  22. Yes, this one! Thanks… i was hoping it was a bit narrower so the wheels are hanging off the shelf…
  23. @Willy iine Unfortunately, I don not have adequate space inside the house, thus we are planning making the garage a useable space for the kids, and myself... My first option is to find an enclosed container such as the shoe rack I attached. It will also serve as a protection in case my kid's friends want to "touch" it... I've had all my RC's stored in my garage for more than a year and I don't really know if it's making it deteriorate faster compared to ones stored indoors... I do live in in the Mid-Atlantic Region; Northern VA to be specific, so summers and winters here can vary... Or, another option I've seen is to use a metal pegboard... but that is not an enclosed storage... for now, all my RC cars will be kept in the storage until the garage work is completed... which TBH, makes me anxious of not seeing it everyday...
  24. Thanks... I saw some photos of the Kallax after doing a google search... now I wonder if anyone here is using the Lack series wall shelf...
  25. Hello. My wife and I are in the initial phase of planning our garage makeover. The plan is to make it a "garage cave" and more functional for my own kids, and their neighborhood friends to hang out in... the challenge, however, is we live in a Townhouse with a one-car garage... I don't really mind not parking our car inside as it never was used as a car port anyway... I am currently searching for ideas on how to properly store/display my RC collections... I am currently looking a a shoe rack that I may have to repurpose, but I don't know if it will fit a buggy, let alone my GF or G6... My space in the planned garage make over is quite limited... I probably have a 4ftx8ft space to work with... At the moment, my RCs are hanging on a hook under a wire shelf that will be taken off once the project commence... I will also appreciate some ideas on how some of you organize your parts bin and what you use for this task... Any suggestions are much appreciated... Photos reference will surely help, as well as where to find the product used... To give you guys an idea, here are the list of built RCs I have: Hotshot Manta Ray Big Wig Terra Scorcher Super Sabre Wildone Mini M03 TT01e TT02 GF01 G601 TRF801X Traxxas Summit Unbuilt: VQS TopForce Super Clod G601 King Yellow Photo attached is a shoe rack that I am thinking of repurposing as a display storage. Just not sure if it will be sturdy enough and if it has enough space... Thanks and looking forward to your ideas!
