  1. Some good info there, Thanks Kev.
  2. Hi all. Ive been mulling over getting a Wild One for a while now but I also keep looking at the Fav. To my very untrained eye they look very similar but the Fav seems to retail quite bit cheaper. Is the WO that much better, if so why? Also if anybody knows of any retailers with particularly good deals on either pls let me know. Thanks MJ
  3. Nice work Nobbi, I had no idea that the Muddy 2 was totally different underneath to the 1
  4. That's probably not a bad idea, thanks.
  5. Hello all So as I said in my intro post I really wanted a Subaru Brat when I recently got back into Tamiyas. The Brat was one Tamiya I always wanted as a kid, and then having a Frog years later just made me want one more. So this time around on my R/C adventures with money being tight I started trawling ebay and came across the Muddy at a good price. However once I got it I just was not happy with the monster truck look under this body. For the record I have nothing against MT's, I used to have a Lunchbox and absolutely loved (and I still may get another). So what is common on the Brat and Blaster and what is not. The body is the same, the chassis looks the same. Is it just change the wheels? Is the gearing different? How do I bring the body lower down onto the chassis? it seems the re-re Brat kit has body mounts which, on the rear, are only really suitable for the clear body with no load bed. Any advice, pointers or suggestions on what I may need and where to get it, would be gratefully received Thanks MJ
  6. Jaw dropping work, cant believe this started out as the "same" car as I have Well done sir.
  7. Thanks for all the warm welcomes fellas I don't dislike the Blaster per-say, I just really wanted a Brat, and when the blaster came up I thought that would do. However once I got it, it just dos'nt look right to my eye. So I may look to convert the Blaster to a Brat. Other the wheel size, I don't know what else needs changing, I know the chassis look the same. As for the Rising its quite tired and really needs a stripdown and rebuild. I've already purchased a full Sand Scorcher body set which may go on this (or maybe the Blaster) and im also looking at a set of yellow Holiday Buggy wheels and tyres.
  8. Hello all Getting back in the game after "another" break. Ive had a Tamiyas over the years but life always seems to come along and sideline my interest. Ive already picked up a second hand Mud Blaster and Rising Fighter over the last few months so I am slowly getting my eye in. The Blaster is good but I don't think I like it much, the Rising is in bits so is slowly morphing into something else . I hope you don't mind but I will have a few stupid questions in the near future So, er, hello. MJ
