  1. i have had this problem also, just push the motormount a little away from the spurgear when screwing it on the chassis. This has solved my problem. cheers Michael
  2. does it run even not good without a motor pinion? My TB02 is my best car ever - i've raced it in the TamiyaCup and it has got nearly no friction in the gearing. i've tested it against my TA04 and TA05, but the TB02 has got the less friction For testing used it without motor pinion and just let it roll down a 'hill'. did the same with the TA04 and 05 but the TB02 did roll the longest distance. Check the motor mount! i think the motorpinion has got less space to the spur gear. - That was once my problem. here's my TB02: My beloved TB02
  3. For the TA02 i recommend those HopUp Parts, which must not be origianal Tamiya There are a many parts available from other manufacotrs or just repro parts, mostly sold on ebay. * Complete Ball Baerings Seet * Hard Propeller shaft (Tamiya #53152, also available from Carson) * adjustable upper arms * Aluminium Motor Mount (#53142 or repros often sold on ebay) * Skyline Speed Tuned Gearing (Tamiya #53127) for a better Gaering setting * Universal shafts alt least on the from axle (#53172 front axle, #53115 - rear axle) Heres a complete gearing setting table with kit supplied (ks) and speed tuned (st) gearing with Spur Gear 74(Kit supplied) Pinion Gear Ratio 16T 11,27 17T 10,61 18T 10,02 19T 9,49 20T 9,02 21T 8,59 With 69T (SpeedTuned) SpurGear 21T 8,01 22T 7,64 23T 7,31 24T 7,01 25T 6,73 With 66T(SpeedTuned) SpurGear 24T 6,7 25T 6,44 Here you see, which Pinion fits which Spur Gear For the Standard 540 I recommend the fasted gearing For Sports Tuned Motor I recommend also the fasted gearing or 6,7 For RZ/TZ Motors: gearing around 7 For 17T Motors: gearing around 7,5 All with complete Ball Bearings Set When the motor gets too hot make use a pinion with less teeth. ps.: You can calculate the vaguely Speed (without considering the gearing friction, rolling friction, aerodynamic drag, ......) in km/h with the following Formula: ((Motorspeed at best effizienz/Gear Ratio)*amplitude of the tires in cm)/10000*6 = Speed in km/h Bsp.: 15000 RPM/6.44*20,7/10000*6 = around 29km/h Speed at best case --> Standard 540 Motor with 26mm onroad tires mplitude of the tires in cm: Diameter*pi 6,6cm diameter * 3,1415 = 20,7cm

  5. hi, great car! you can use every standard esc with the sports tuned motor, but i recommend a better one, eg from LRP or NOSRAM or... because of it's better performance. For your TA02 i recommend some HopUp's like Ball Bearings (if it has not got any, yet), Speed Tuned Gearing, Alloy Motor Mount (the kit one often breaks when using faster motors) and the HopUp Alloy Transmission shaft, since the kit ones really thin and often 'wobbles'. will see to get the HopUp Numbers for you... cheers Michael
  6. ordered my birthday present a Tamtech Gear Hotshot with a few HopUp's today - me happy will fit it with my mamba 6800 brushless system, because this motor is too fast for my 2WD Tamtech Frog - can't wait till it arrive and birthday comes in the end of march.
  7. Hi, from which kit are you speaking? is it this? http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...318&id=2958 - Tamiya #49335 For this Conversion Kit i paid EUR 100,-- about 3 to 4 years ago - don't know if it's still available, but for this kit you need to have at least an TB Evo3 or TB Evo3 Surikarn, because it only contains blue alloy parts, which only can be used with those kits. Maybe it's better to get an old Evo4 (does have already blue parts)... or do you want to change a TB01 to an Evo1 or a TB02 to an Evo3? cheers Michael
  8. sorry mate but Carson didn't release an Astra Estate body - maybe it was from another producer. Carson released only a few non Toruing/Rally car bodies like BMW 328 estate, Opel Speedster, Citroen 2CV and the Audi A3 and all others had been former Touring cars like Opel Vectra B STW, Opel Astra Coupe DTM, Opel Calibra, Opel Speedster Renault Laguna STW, Alfa 159, Audi A4 STW, Porsche 911 GT3, Mercedes CLK DTMs, BMW M1, Audi S1, Audi quattro, VW Passat V8, but no Astra estate... Since Carson sells here in Austria/Germany in many shops and i do have all Carson catalouges from that years - there is no Astra Estate from Carson - maybe it's from another producer...
  9. Interesting site, which i will have a look on it from time to time. Maybe they are producing 1/10 - 19mm bodies, too. Too bad those 1/10 bodies are much too wide for a scale look.
  10. The FF01 can be built with 2 wheelbase: 245mm: only 2 bodies available - VW Golf 3 VR6 & Renault Clio Williams 258mm: all other bodies like Volvo 850, VW Golf 4 V5, Honda Civic, Nissan Primera, Ford Mondeo,..... To built it the short or long wheelbase you must change the rear axle mount - just have a look in the manual or here on the TC-manuals
  11. Hi, i'm not in Buggies, but i've recently seen a NIB #58116 DYNA STORM (1st EDITION) sold on ebay for EUR 212.-- (with 15 offers on it) Don't if your's the original or re-release cheers Michael
  12. Since the 4th entry of RALLY SIG Photo Compo is made - The price will be won by one of the competitors (except me) : for better looking at the other entries: use the search in the TC-members-menu - search for 'RALLY SIG' - cheers Michael
  13. as Rally chassis i use TB01, TB02, TA03F and TA03R chassis, since they all got a gearing which is save from dust. The TB01 is much more heavy and used on really rough terrain. i'm using the other chassis on sandy, gravel terrain. The TB02 is one of my favourite chassis, and i love the TA03F, since the motor is in the front, it's a top chassis for drifting The TT01 is not my thing. but a few people here in my place are using it as Rally chassis with a modified suspension to reach more ground clearance.
  14. The Rally SIG Photo Competition is now opened - you can add your entries from now until 21.03.2008 midnight please note when adding an entry to the competition: * add it to your showroom with the title RALLY SIG PHOTO COMPETITION: <username> * modelnumber: Anything else + 99990 Event/Action Photos * SIG: Rally Cars with that done it's a valid entry, so it can be better found in the SIG during voting looking forward to see your entries.... cheers Michael

  17. I'd like to have more Rally cars Fiat 131 Miafiori Alitalia Ford Escort Mk2 WRC-Rally cars and more 3 speed trucks
  18. No, i don't want to judge about this member, since i don't know him and haven't had a trade with him. But nowadays it can be read more often that a few members try to cheat others. All my trades i have done with TC-members were totally smooth - thanks again on this point. Since there is no 'doggy dealer list' i can only recommend to put good dealers and doggy dealers on your mainsite of your showroom. I have already done this and all the people shown there can fully be recommened. Hope the best that this deal is just a delusion.
