  1. Hi guys, im Stefano of Crazy Road off road rc model club in Zelo Buon Persico, a little country near Milano. So, me, with two other members of the club who are like me long tamiya's fools, we have ever been interested to create a little off road track in the our outdoor field where we already have a 1:8 off road track.. So we were wondering about how many tamiya drivers/collectors were possibly interested to help us and if they want, to subscribe in our club. The club is called Crazy Road, and is located in Zelo Buon Persico about 20 minutes from Milano. There is also a website, which you can found any infos. So if you are interested and you live near Milano you can PM me or go on the https://crazyroad.jimdo.com Hoping for the best and a lot of collaborations. I wish you all the best. Bye Stefano
  2. Hy Guys, i'm selling my NOVAFOX, i sell it as it because i need money for another project and i have no time and wish to repair it. it has only one problem, the D5 plastic part ("servo saver") is broken so it can't steer. I sell it full of everything as the pics will shows. It comes with two 5 months Corally 7.4v 4500mah lipo, Monster tronic 2 channel remote control, Robitronic 12turns brushed esc, tamiya dirt tune motor, and a lot of spare parts (chassis, arms, screws, dampers parts...) The car is in very good condition, apart two little scretches under the car. It was mostly a shelf queen so.... . I ask 100 euros plus shipping, (85 pounds plus shipping) or best offer. If you are interested contact me in pm or at this adress ste.rider@hotmail.it.
  3. Hi guys. i'm proceding to paint my bug, this will be the shelf body one. So i designed this scheme, using Bright Mica Red TS85, Gold TS21, and Pure White TS26 in this order: red In the back, gold in the masking tape area, and white in the front. I was inspired by the Bobby Gordon (RIP) Toyota baja buggy. Any help and opinion, about drawing the scheme and changing colors and dispositions of them is very well accepted. Cheers Stefano
  4. Guys i've to thank you a lot. Especially Shodog. I sandblasted all the pieces with a very thick sand, after that, i primered them with a light alloys primer (2 hands of paint), after 1 hand of iron micaceous paint and after i used tamiya acrilic paint, silver one plus a trasparent protective. I shot some photos to show you the result. Hope you'll like it. Cheers Stefano
  5. Hi guys, today i was cleaning my scorcher and i saw that the metal cast parts (gearbox case, rear and front lower and upper arms, uprights, front axles) are oxidiseds, grazeds, in conclusion they are not shiny anymore. So i decided to spraypaint them, but before i've brushed them with a dremel, so now my problem is: what type of metal is that ? is pure aluminium or is more like zamak alloy ? or is that an another type of metal ? i need a primer before painting or i can go directly with iron micaceous paint ? (like the ones you find in leroy merlin or any DIY center). thanks in advance Cheers Stefano
  6. Okok i got it, during testing these days, i found that those springs i mounted, are a little bit hard compared to what it needs, but still runs good. Anyway this week i'm going to my friend's factory trying to find a softer spring. Anway thanks a lot mate. Cheers Stefano
  7. Very nice and excellent job, in this way you can choose the pre load on the spring, very useful though, i think your job is a lot way better than mine, but i think as i wrote before these dampers needs only a little help to return in position and it means it needs only a spring. Of course i'll use your example as a teach !!! Thank you mate !!! cheers Stefano
  8. thanks mongoose1983, where i can find the original bars ? those from 1979 ? it's quite difficult as i know.. anyway i'll cover them with boots .
  9. Hi guys, today i went to a friend's industrial springs factory, and he made for me 4 springs for the stock sand scorcher dampers according to my specs, 0.6mm x 1,6mm on the front and 0.6mm x 1.3mm on the back. I did that beacuse in my opinion the oil dampers of the scorcher, they do a good job, but, even if assembled properly, they struggle to return in position during the decompression phase, so i thought to put a spring to help the return. I choosed a mid hardness for the springs, in a way to not stiff the dampers to much and have a progressive return. Here, there are 2 photos about the result of this mod. Let me know what do you think about it. Cheers Stefano

  11. i'll go for the dirt tuned mate, i've tried it yesterday on sand on the scorcher and it delivers a great torque, much more compared to the torque tuned that i've compared. I need TORQUE ahahahhahahahha !!!!!
  12. exactly, so it will degenerate the motor longevity and capacities more quickly. so for you which is better torque tuned or dirt tuned for the scorcher ?
  13. As i'm worrying for the longevity, drivetrain and heat, running a bz as suggested by fuijo it might be to much for these models, so which is the best option between torque tuned and dirt tuned for you? i'm running with a robitronic 12t esc and a voltz 2s 4000 mah 7.2v lipo battery. thanks in advance.
  14. ok, thanks, so the superstock bz it's very aggressive for this models, even if it has a very great torque, more than the dirt tuned and torque tuned. i'll stay on the dirt tuned. thanks mate.
  15. seen as come out from the kit i suggest no, maybe with a few adjustments to the case it will, in any case i have the anti dirt sock that comes with the dirt tuned, it's not waterproof but sandproof and dustproof almost yes. My pre configuration on the scorcher was the 540 johnson can with a robitronic 12t esc with a voltz nano 4000 mah 7.2v 2s lipo battery, so with the esc and battery i'm ok plus the battery stays perfectly inside in the waterproof case, the problem was the "motor", cause i'm in search of a great torque as i said before, especially on the scorcher that i use on sand and loose dirt, so the best option for me was the dirt tuned, worrying also for the heat, longevity and etc in a certain possible way. So what are you thinking about ? Same as the novafox, dirt tuned with robitronic 12t esc with corally 2s 4500 mah 7.4v. and it runs great. if i can i'll post a video of it. thanks for the helping.
