  1. I am in Herts, near junction 20 on the M25. We have a field near Chandlers cross. My dad has said that we can use the part he is not. We have been planning on creating a track and all sorts there. My bro has setup a website. CXRC When the weather gets better/longer evenings we will be going over with our Land Rovers and winching out old trees and clearing the area This is something we have been planning for a few years but not really got round to it but this year we are hoping to get at least a small track sorted!! So if anyones willing to give us a hand give me a shout! Ant
  2. This is true for visiting public, but if you are displaying with the RC trucks the costs will be cheaper, if placed in the public camping area. This will better answered as I will know towards the end of April when I have confirmation of the pitch size and if we can all fit in! If we can the camping will be free! Ant
  3. Hi all just to let you know, that if any members would like to come along then drop me a PM with the days and if you would like to camp. Some info has gone up on the events site today, Wings'N'Wheels news I am planning on bringing along materials and such to try and create a realistic type of layout, along with an area to run scale 4x4's. This should be a good event and there are not many that are local to us in the south east! Ant
  4. Will be able to know this towards the end of April once I know the numbers. Also once I have confirmation on the size of the camping area we have. If any of you are interested in coming along with there trucks can you please PM me with the days and if camping. Ant
  5. This area will mostly aimed at the 1/14th trucks, it will be roughly 6m x 12m with about 70% covered. I am also going to plan an area of 4m x 4m where we can setup some scale 4x4 offroading! With my G4 Discovery setup behind to attract the public!
  6. Hi Guys, I have managed to get an area at the wings'n'wheels show in June, for displaying 1/14th RC trucks. It is at the North Weald Airfield, Epping, Essex, CM16 6AA We have been given an area at the moment of 12m x 12m but this could be made bigger. The area is on a hard surface and camping is next to the layout if we can fit it all in! Otherwise there is plenty of room in the public camping area (there is charge for this area thou) You can visit for the day and a pass will be issued. If you could let me know by the end of march if you are interested as I need to know numbers as space might be tight. So if you can say if you would be either staying for the weekend or visiting the show for the day to display. Cheers Ant
  7. Regarding the collars I make them if you are interested, found in my trades section. E3 + E4 replica Parts Ant
  8. Count me in for this! along with my rigs and various RC's
  9. I think this would be a great addition to the forums, If you look on the Tamiya Truckin sig we have a fair few members, it would be handy to have an area that will help keep it together rather then spread over the rest of the forums! Ant
  10. Yeh I would have to agree, it does look rather like a generic box rather then the classic shape of a Disco 1!
  11. Okay this is a strange one. I have just had an email from the "Cider Bashers Sig" however its come in as a message from my "Tamiya Truckin Sig". This is a new one on me as it seems to think that I sent the message out!! It also seems that members in my Sig are also getting this message saying its coming from me! and a few are just receiving them as blank messages! Anyone with any clues? Ant
  12. I am too looking for a Disco 2 shell. However I think I will have to get round to cading one up to match my new 1:1 toy I have got the new bright D3's which are a perfect fit on the XC chassis. Let me know if you do finally track a D2 or D1 body down. Will be getting round to creating the shell over the xmas break hopefully! Ant
  13. Here's my newest Land Rover to my fleet It's a G4 Discovery II V8i ES 2002 - Used on the G4 challenge in 2003 on Stage 2 in South Africa. It was used by the film crew to record the event. Of course I have put a "Tamiyaclub.com" sticker located in the rear window Ant
  14. Heres a clip of my Volvo and reefer trailer, These rigs can become quite addictive!! Reefer trailer run Ant
  15. Just booked the caravan in for the show! So will see you there with my lunchbox and buggies Ant
  16. I have done this mod on my Knight Hauler. The advantage of keeping the larger box is the deeper sound you get from the speaker. I made a plate that shrinks the box down without losing the sound quality. Have a look here Knight Hauler Speaker Mod I sell these as well have a look in my trades for more info. Ant
  17. The next show for the trucks is this coming Sunday 8th june at the "CLASSIC & VINTAGE COMMERCIAL SHOW" at the heritage motor centre at gaydon. As for contacts for the truckfest shows might be best to contact the runners of the truckfest as they would have contact details for who would be running the RC trucks at each of the shows as it seems to change depending on location. Ant

  24. Right heres todays update. Been fitting the decals onto the reefer trailer. I have taken some pictures as I fitted them to hopefully give yourselfs when fitting a neat way of putting them on The large rear mountian decal Putting on the larger sized lettering Now for the last of the lettering.
