Which end of the prop gear did you have to file down? I've fitted these diffs into my daughter's Neo Scorcher and the diffs feel a bit tight it just grinds to a halt when you let you finger of the accelerator. Do you file down the bit the prop slots into or the bit which connects to the diff?

Cheers guys my daughter's Neo Scorcher has a clicking from the rear diff after a run with a new 15t brushed motor. Hopefully this kit will sort the problem out.

Are there all the parts to make 2 diffs in that bag, 1 front and 1 rear?

Is this what I need?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232161204277

Any idea where I could find one? Any links would be really helpful I'm not really sure which one I need.

I need to get a new pinion gear for my Super Hotshot, I've fitted a 120a X Car beast esc and a 4250kv Turnigy motor and I want to fit a steel gear rather than the toffee one that comes as standard. Any links would be appreciated, I'm in the UK.

With regards to the MCI decals I can also recommend them I've just bought a set for my rebuilt Ford Ranger and the quality is second to none. I can also say don't get the decals from eBay, I got a set for my Sand Scorcher and they looked ok but nothing compared to the MCI decals.

When I got it, it looked like this.

I've sorted the problem now, in the bag of extra spares I got with the car was the original Ranger gearbox and the motor fits in there perfectly. The only problem I have now though is the motor and gear plastic covers are MK1 and their is a gap between the gearbox when the cover is tightened.

Help needed please I did a swap a few weeks ago I swapped a TL01 Subaru Impreza for a Ford Ranger XLT. Now from what I've been told the chassis is quite likely to be a MK1 Rough Rider with a Ranger shell. The problem is that I've just tried to fit a standard Tamiya silver can motor and it won't go in, were the motors smaller in the original SRB? If they were any recommendations on a motor that will fit?

I've got a Etronix stick controller and I found the same thing the sticks were very uncomfortable so I put heat shrink around them. I cut a piece flat wrapped it over the top of the stick then slide a tube over the piece I'd cut and heated it up, now it's perfect.

Here's the car now after a little bit of tlc, I've used a couple of re re Sand Scorcher parts for now until I can replace them with vintage stuff.
-
Unfortunately I've fitted the diff into the car but here's a picture I took before I fitted it I'd removed 4 screws from it and taken off 1 of the drive shafts, I was going to remove the screw in the picture and re grease it but that screw is rounded off.

Those little post things are broken off.

Are you in the UK?

You don't by any chance have a rear mount bar for the ranger do you? I've also got another sand scorcher/ rough rider rear body bar I'll throw in. Also got the gears for that gear box the brass bearings don't look much cop though.

I've got more but photobucket is complete nightmare. If you want them let me know and I'll find another way to get them to you.

I swapped it for a TL01 Subaru Impreza 2001. Good deal or not? I found it on the Vintage tamiya and other rc page on Facebook and0 I've always wanted a Ranger so I thought I'd get it for just the shell, clean it up repaint it and use it on my Scorcher chassis. When I collected it, it wasn't as bad as it looked in the pictures and I thought With a bit of cleaning up, and I have a lot of the missing/ broken parts although they are re re Sand Scorcher parts I could build it up as a separate runner and then add the Vintage parts as and when I could find them, the only bits I really need right now are the front and rear body mounts but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
-
I would but I don't know if they are any good, I will post up some pictures later but the holes that mount the swinging arms on the rear of the casing look too big. Do you think it would be a big no no if I put a Re re radio box on it as I have one floating around and someone has cut holes in the original one. I also have a front bumper and rear gearbox cage both re re.

I acquired this yesterday I know it's a Ford Ranger body, but is the chassis a vintage Rough Rider? I've stripped it down and a lot of the parts are slightly different from my Re re Sand Scorcher, it also came with two gearboxes, I've taken them apart and one of them has a differential in.
-
Two questions, did you make the front post as it looks slightly taller than my Sand Scorcher and the rear body mount bar did you make that? That looks lower? The chassis that I'm getting with the Ranger shell looks like it is an 80's Rough Rider it has a small front post and the same rear mounting bar as my Sand Scorcher. Hopefully if they let me out of hospital I should be able to collect it all today.
-
Would it be possible to show some pictures of your SRB with the Blackfoot body off so I can see how you have mounted it? I should take possession of a original 80's SRB chassis, I think it maybe a Rough Rider with a Ranger shell, it's in pretty rough condition chassis wise but apart from the paint the shell doesn't look too bad.

I've got a RB E ONE R 1.8th scale buggy if you can find one they come in kit form, I'm running it with a Hobbywing ezrun 150a esc and a Tenshock 6 pole motor. On 4s it's pretty nuts but on 6s it's barbaric.
-
Is it normal for the Super Hotshot to have such a bad turning circle? Mine is terrible, I did notice in the kit box there are two sets of steering knuckles one set with two holes and one set with three holes, I've fitted the set with two hole like it shows in the manual. Can I fit the other set with three holes to make the steering throw a bit better?
-
Me too would never have considered sand in the motor, I was going to throw it.
